Item Abordaje fisioterapéutico en lesiones musculoesqueléticas en deportistas de halterofilia(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2022) Quiñones Soto, Stefania; Guevara Franco, Juan Sebastián; Jaramillo Gómez, Luis Gerardo; Izquierdo Zambrano, Judy Madeleine (Directora)Introduction: Musculoskeletal disorders are understood as injuries and symptoms that evolve to any part of the body, but are mainly focused on the musculoskeletal system (bones and muscles, joints, tendons, ligaments, nerves and vascular system). Its origin is prolonged exposure to a certain activity. Objective: To identify physiotherapeutic intervention techniques and their effectiveness in musculoskeletal injuries in weightlifting athletes, according to scientific evidence. Methodology: Keywords (weight lifting, injuries, physical therapy technique, muscle, joints) were used in 9 search strategies in the different databases (Science direct, Medline (Pubmed), Dialnet, Lilacs and gray literature) of the last 6 years (2017-2022), finding 241 articles related to the investigated topic. The selection processes of the articles were by reading the title, keywords, duplicity, summary, insufficient information, theme and quality, later 8 articles were selected for final evaluation. By improving qualities such as flexibility, strength, endurance, agility, among others, through training, athletes reach a threshold of objectives that allows them to develop properly in competitions. Different studies in boxers have shown that in order to improve professionally and competitively, their skills must be monitored, determining how they are currently, conducting frequent studies and monitoring to constantly see and evaluate the improvements they have been acquiring and their approach to competition . Objective: To determine the physical condition and somatotype of the boxers of the youth category in a municipal institute of sport and recreation in the Valle del Cauca, in 2018. Methodology: Descriptive cross-sectional study in athletes of a sports institution, A descriptive cross-sectional study was conducted, where the physical condition of boxing athletes was determined, using a non-probabilistic sample based on population group to know the number of athletes, the president of the sports club was contacted, to determine the estimated boxers who were part of the youth category and determined how many met the selection criteria to complete the sample; they will fill out a data collection format developed by researchers on sports characteristics. The statistical package SPSS version 22 will be used for data analysis and the results will be analyzed using tables for quantitative data. Results: 100% (13) of the boxers are below the level in the Trunk Flex and 10x5 Speed tests; 69.2% (9) boxers are below the level in the push-up test; 61.5% (8) boxers are below the level in the abdominal test in 30 seconds; 92.3% (12) in the Course Navette test is below the level. It is frequently associated with diabetes mellitus, dyslipidemia, and obesity, leading to negative results. Physical exercise represents an effective means for the prevention and treatment of high blood pressure. High intensity interval training (HIIT) has been shown to cause greater increases in cardiorespiratory capacity, improvements in heart rate, cardiac endothelium function, compared to moderate intensity continuous training (MICT), improving cardiovascular health in people with cardiovascular disease, although current information is inconclusive. Objective: To determine the effectiveness of high intensity interval training Vs moderate intensity continuous training in the levels of arterial hypertension in older adults.
