Item Prevalencia y consecuencias del síndrome de burnout en el personal asistencial de salud según revisión sistemática 2018-2023(2024) Gomez Monroy, William Arley; Perea Riasco, Ginna Paola; Ana Maria MartínezABSTRACT Introduction: Burnout syndrome is a response to chronic work stress characterized by headache, feeling exhausted, failure and impotence, low self-esteem, difficulty concentrating and insomnia. This syndrome is a reality that affects the entire work community with significant and far-reaching effects. Focusing on the health workers who are the most affected; it is shown that, in their daily work, they often face difficult and stressful situations that affect their responsibilities and, therefore, the quality of services provided. This demonstrates the need to create strategies to solve this problem and that workers can have a job quality. General objective: Determine prevalence and consequences of burnout syndrome in health care personnel according to a systematic review 2018-2023. Methods: A systematic review of literature was carried out, using the PRISMA protocol in different databases such as scielo, virtual library in health. The inclusion criteria were national and international And the key words were work stress in health personnel, health workers, burnout syndrome in the period from 2018 to 2023. Results: It was found that health personnel were affected by workload, long hours and lack of personnel, which led to the development of a chronic disease called burnout syndrome, which contains a number of problems such as fatigue, anxiety and depression. Conclusion: Burnout syndrome is a serious issue among health professionals, affecting both personal and organizational level. This led to a decrease in the quality of care and increased errors. It is important to address this problem with measures such as training, self-care, organizational support and work-life balance policies. Recognizing and treating burnout is critical to ensuring both the well-being of health workers and the quality of healthcare and the sustainability of the health system.Item Relación entre la tecnología y el desarrollo de los niños, niñas y adolescentes y sus consecuencias a la salud según revisión bibliográfica entre los años 2014 a 2024.(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2024) Mosquera Uzuriaga, Diana Katerine; Hurtado Montaño, Jessica; Vera Perafán, Maira Alejandra; Juan Fernando Bedoya SandovalThe challenges of the new era are loaded with technological and scientific successes important for the advancement of humanity, this has caused children and adolescents to develop and grow in an environment congested by different technologies, negatively affecting to their health and altering their physical, social and intellectual development. Objective: Identify the relationship between technology and the development of children and adolescents and its health consequences according to a bibliographic review between the years 2014 to 2024. Methodology: A systematic literature review was carried out using the PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses) protocol in various academic databases, including Web of Science, Scopus, ScienceDirect, PubMed, Springer and SciELO. ´´Growth and development, Neurodevelopmental disorders, Technology, Child health, Cell phone. Results: A total of 26 articles were analyzed where the following is evident; An important cognitive stimulation associated with the use of technological devices stands out, which can lead to it becoming an addictive activity, with possible repercussions on the health of children and adolescents. Conclusion: In conclusion, this research showed that technology and the use of digital devices today has become increasingly common in the daily lives of children. However, it is important to take into account the possible positive and negative effects that excessive use of these devices can have on their development.Item Consecuencias en la salud mental causadas por eventos traumáticos en menores de 15 años en Latino América según revisión sistemática de literatura entre los años 2018 y 2023(2024) Saa Riascos, Dalia Nicole; López García, Yurani Marcela; Bedoya Sandoval, Juan FernandoIntroduction: Mental health is essential and goes beyond the absence of disorders; it involves coping with stress, developing skills, and contributing to the community. Cultivating positive relationships, harmonizing ethical ideals, and creating life projects are crucial. It should be noted that there are adverse situations beyond the control of minors that can affect their emotional well-being, potentially leading to mental disorders and psychosocial disabilities. Objective: To determine the mental health consequences of traumatic events in children under 15 years old through a systematic literature review between 2019 and 2023. Methodology: A study under the PRISMA method was conducted, based on the search for secondary sources. Various databases were reviewed, including Universidad Santiago de Cali and Universidad del Valle, as well as platforms like Scielo, Google Scholar, Dialnet, ScienceDirect, Sage Journals, and the regional portal of the BVS. Keywords such as mental health, school mental health service were used, and inclusion criteria included articles published between 2018-2023 that mention mental health consequences, both nationally and internationally. Results: A systematic review was conducted across different databases, yielding 1228 related articles, from which 25 articles meeting the inclusion and exclusion criteria were selected. Conclusion: National and international studies reveal various psychological disorders caused by traumatic events in children under 15 years old, along with the consequences and interventions outlined in the articles. Violence can adversely affect cognitive development, leading to difficulties in interpersonal relationships, poor academic performance, and increased mortality risk. It is important to consider the possibility of a history of abuse when diagnosing and treating mental health problems in youth. The search for published articles was carried out in the main databases: PubMed, Scielo, BVS Nursing, Taylor & Francis, Elseiver, the eligibility and exclusion criteria were selected to specify the selection during in the search process, finally, to formulate the research question, the PICO format was used: Results: The prevalence of sleep apnea at a national and international level is represented more in men than in women, with a higher incidence in the female gender. After menopause, CPAP positive pressure therapy is considered the treatment with the greatest scientific evidence at a national and international level. Conclusion: Sleep apnea is a disorder present in the local population, with a high multisystem impact on health; Mainly associated with obesity and body mass index, it triggers mild consequences such as: poor quality of sleep, daytime sleepiness, migraine and changes in mood. At the same time, the systemic complications with the greatest impact affect the cardiovascular, metabolic, cognitive and mental spheres. Methods: A quantitative, descriptive, non-experimental and cross-sectional study was carried out in which the population will be students from the first to fifth semester of Nursing at the Santiago de Cali University, Palmira section in the period 2023B, we worked with a probabilistic sample Through a simple random sampling that establishes a confidence level of 95%, only students of legal age who expressed their desire to participate by signing an informed consent were included. Using as an instrument a questionnaire of 24 questions that includes 3 domains (knowledge, attitude and personal factor), this was developed in 2015 by Moeller and Woods, and restructured in 2021 due to new research carried out in San Martin de Porres, Lime. The data analysis was carried out using the SPSS statistical program, which allowed the information to be related to absolute and relative frequency tables. Results. Of the students surveyed, 47% report moderately high knowledge regarding medical cannabis. Regarding the risks and side effects, only 33% have moderate knowledge, regarding the dosage of medical cannabis, 40% of those surveyed report having very little knowledge. Of the knowledge they have about the different types and forms of medicinal cannabis, 40% report having very little knowledge, about cannabis and its derivatives, 45% report having very little knowledge, about the abuse of medicinal cannabis as an initiator to stronger drugs. 39% of those surveyed report having very little knowledge, in their opinion of the duty of medical prescription of medicinal Cannabis, 52% neither agree nor disagree, 33% of those surveyed slightly agree that medicinal cannabis is safe when used responsibly for therapeutic use Conclusions: The students from 1 to 5 semesters at the Santiago de Cali University, Palmira Section, have little knowledge regarding medicinal cannabis, although they report considerable interest in the topics that involve this alternative medicine that is already in circulation and is freely commercialized.Item Consecuencias de los trastornos del sueño en el rendimiento académico de estudiantes universitarios en carreras de la salud entre los años 2013 a 2023: revisión sistemática de literatura(2024) Gonzalez, Nathalia; Lozano, Nathalia; Bedoya Sandoval, Juan FernandoIntroduction: Sleep is essential for physical and mental health, being a physiological process that allows the body and mind to rest and disconnect from the environment. Sleep deprivation negatively affects somatic, cognitive, emotional and behavioral functions, impacting health, safety, relationships and academic and work performance. Sleep disorders are common in society, especially among university students in health careers, affecting their quality of life and academics. Objective: Determine the consequences of sleep disorders on the academic performance of university students in health careers according to a systematic review of literature between the years 2013 to 2023. Methodology: The monograph was carried out with the PRISMA protocol through a bibliographic review under the descriptive paradigm, from scientific articles found in databases such as Oxford, Springer, Elsevier, Dialnet, Science Direct, Scopus, Medline Plus, PubMed, National Library of Medicine, Scielo, Dialnet, Google Scholar. The information was selected using the inclusion criteria those articles that meet the established age range for the search (2013-2023), also that support the study and show the consequences of sleep disorders on the academic performance of university students. in health careers taking into account the scientific approach and nursing interventions. Results: According to the national and international literature review, it was identified that the most common sleep disorders that affect students are excessive daytime sleepiness and insomnia. Furthermore, factors such as intensive study, hospital practices, and habits such as alcohol consumption or excessive use of technology contribute to these disorders. Lack of sleep can impair concentration, attention, cognitive performance and increase stress and fatigue. Conclusion: It is essential to address this problem with educational programs and support services to improve the quality of life and academic success of university students in health careers. Objective: Determine the knowledge and attitudes towards the use of medicinal cannabis in ninth and tenth semester nursing students at a private university in Palmira in 2023. Methodology: This is a quantitative, comparative, descriptive, non-experimental and cross-sectional study whose population under study is students from the Faculty of Health of the Palmira section, the unit of analysis will be the ninth and tenth semester nursing students. Results: 56% of the population (n=29) have moderate knowledge about medicinal cannabis; followed by 37% with very little knowledge and 8% with substantial knowledge about medicinal cannabis.
