Item Caracterización del acompañamiento fonoaudiológico respecto al fortalecimiento de las estrategias para el abordaje de los componentes del lenguaje con docentes de la institución educativa Cxayuce Yat (Sede San Agustín) del resguardo indígena Canoas en Santander de Quilichao, Cauca (Junio – Julio 2019(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2019) Muñoz, Manuel Fernando; Valderrama Perez, Lina Paola; Torres Zambrano,Natalia; Trujillo, Ana SilvanaThis research focused on carrying out a phonoaudiological accompaniment regarding the strengthening of strategies for the approach of the components of language with the teachers of the Cxayuce Yat Educational Institution, headquarters San Agustín del Canoas in Santander de Quilichao, Cauca during the period June to July 2019. The systematization of an experience was carried out, in which previous knowledge of teachers about the components of the language was investigated, the implementation of a workshop responding to the requirements of strengthening in the face of compressions of elements language structures identifying phonoaudiology contributions in the face of strengthening teachers' pedagogical practices. The research has tools and methods of a descriptive, qualitative type. It was attended by two (2) teachers from the center, who had a link of at least 1 year in the institution. For data collection, a structured interview was applied as baseline and contrast and a classroom observation format. The results found the importance of the interdisciplinary exercise, which requires the discipline of phonoaudiology in areas of education in indigenous territories; therefore, in terms of phonoaudiological practice, professionals should question how much they are doing to visualize the discipline so that it transcends in areas that require phonoaudiological work. The purpose of this research was to describe the performance of semantic and phonological fluidity tasks in people with mild and moderate phases, as well as to develop a phonoaudiological support plan that allows the exercise of language skills and functions considering semantic and phonological tasks in the population under study.Item Caracterización de la investigación formativa del programa de Fonoaudiología dela Universidad Santiago de Cali desde el 2002 hasta el año el 2008A(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2019) Camacho, Lorena Esmeralda; Cortes, Laura Marcela; Argüello Vélez, PatriciaThe objetive of this study is to verify and characterize the behaviors of the formative research of the phonoaudiology program of the Santiago de Cali University from 2002 to 2018A. For this, a total of 136 digital and physical theses were analyzed, without including internships, research nurseries and monographs in the institution's library. For the analysis of this information, a series of variables were taken into account: methodological design, type of study, sample, disciplinary area, specific competencies of the phonoaudiologist, interdisciplinarity, informative products, area, place, territory and population which allowed the collection and organization of information. The results showed a greater number of the works of degree in thesis modality with a type of quantitative study and a transversal descriptive methodological design. Predominance was identified in the language area, followed by the area in professional matters. On the other hand, it was evidenced that within the specific competences of the phonoaudiologist, evaluation and treatment prevail with little interest in investigating more in the competence of integral rehabilitation, most of the studies do not refer interdisciplinarity. Regarding the research scenario, the superior educational institution prevails. This investigation was developed under the Gracias A Dios Un Niño Sonríe Foundation’s authorization, who’s supported by Smile Train, an international organization that provides a solution to cleft palate’s burden by trainings, funding and other resources that are necessary such as operation and free rehabilitation processes. Objective: The aim of this study is to do the characterization of the compensations present in cleft palate in patients who assisted to Gracias A Dios Un Niño Sonríe Foundation on 2018 B period. Method: This was a transversal quantitative descriptive study. The total of participants was 17, female and masculine gender, 7 years older. Data was recollected, first, considering the clinical history’s information that was registered at the beginning, then the voice recording was registered, which allow to develop a more univariate and bivariate results. Results: The most affected phonemes in the participants was the high-pressure ones, considering that the compensations are present on absolute initial position and intervocalic position. It was evidenced major prevalence of nasal emissions and fricatives. Conclusion: Articulatory compensations are a speech phenomenon that is consequent to a velopalatine dysglossia and its diagnose constitution is vinculated to phonetic-phonological disorders.Item Caracterización de la ingesta de alimentos en adultos mayores en el Hospital Geriátrico San Miguel de los pabellones Santa Luisa, San José y san camilo en la cuidad Santiago de Cali en el periodo 2018-2019(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2019) Allin González, Lorena; Lizarralde Gómez, Gloria Stella; Millán Estupiñan, Juan CarlosThis scientific article shows the results of the research project “Characterization of food intake and swallowing of older adults in the Santa Luisa San José and San Camilo pavilions of the San Miguel Geriatric Center in the city of Cali- Valle Colombia, during the 2018-2019 period ”. Objective. The purpose was to identify the characteristics of food intake in older adults in the Geriatric Hospital. The problem was based on the multiple causes of alteration in the processes of food intake and swallowing that older adults have in their evolutionary process, which leads to the aging of the human being, influenced by numerous conditioning factors, intrinsic such as genetic, state of health and other extrinsic as habits in general. Method. The type of study and design is descriptive, quantitative, cross-sectional. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), it ranks third among the pathologies, which involve years of life with disabilities (YLDs), which implies the need for the implementation of effective treatments, in order to improve the quality of life of people who suffer from it (Díaz, Goycoolea, Cardemil, 2016). Hearing impairment alters the capacity for the reception, discrimination, association and understanding of sounds, both from the environment, and the sounds that make up an audio-vocal linguistic code such as Spanish.
