Item Abordaje fisioterapéutico en lesiones musculoesqueléticas en deportistas de halterofilia(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2022) Quiñones Soto, Stefania; Guevara Franco, Juan Sebastián; Jaramillo Gómez, Luis Gerardo; Izquierdo Zambrano, Judy Madeleine (Directora)Introduction: Musculoskeletal disorders are understood as injuries and symptoms that evolve to any part of the body, but are mainly focused on the musculoskeletal system (bones and muscles, joints, tendons, ligaments, nerves and vascular system). Its origin is prolonged exposure to a certain activity. Objective: To identify physiotherapeutic intervention techniques and their effectiveness in musculoskeletal injuries in weightlifting athletes, according to scientific evidence. Methodology: Keywords (weight lifting, injuries, physical therapy technique, muscle, joints) were used in 9 search strategies in the different databases (Science direct, Medline (Pubmed), Dialnet, Lilacs and gray literature) of the last 6 years (2017-2022), finding 241 articles related to the investigated topic. The selection processes of the articles were by reading the title, keywords, duplicity, summary, insufficient information, theme and quality, later 8 articles were selected for final evaluation. Results: 7 articles were identified in which the most common injuries were evidenced, such as muscle strains, ligament sprains, tendonitis, pain, in different structures within which they have a higher prevalence in the location of the shoulder and at the lumbar level; Within which, the physiotherapeutic techniques with which they have been addressed are ultrasound, neuromuscular reeducation with PNF techniques, as well as isotonic and isometric exercises, postural education and strengthening with kinesitherapy and complemented with stretching.Item Abordaje fisioterapéutico en mujeres con incontinencia urinaria de esfuerzo. Revisión documental período 2009-2018(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2019) Lucumí Caracas, Marly Andrea; Gómez Ramírez, Esperanza (Asesora)El presente trabajo se denomina revisión documental en abordaje fisioterapéutico en mujeres con incontinencia urinaria de esfuerzo según lo reportado en la literatura en los años 2009 al 2018 cuyo objetivo principal es determinar las técnicas fisioterapéuticas más utilizadas en la rehabilitación en la incontinencia urinaria en mujeres que la padecen. La Sociedad Internacional de Continencia definió en 2002 la incontinencia urinaria (IU) como la manifestación por parte del paciente de cualquier pérdida de orina involuntaria. Se pueden diferenciar diferentes tipos de IU, de esfuerzo (IUE) como pérdida involuntaria de orina durante un esfuerzo, el ejercicio físico, la tos o el estornudo, IU de urgencia (IUU) como la pérdida involuntaria de orina acompañada o inmediatamente precedida por urgencia e incontinencia urinaria mixta (IUM) como pérdida involuntaria de orina asociada a la urgencia y también a un esfuerzo, ejercicio físico, al estornudar y al toser. Incluye tanto agravios que no involucran contacto físico como aquellos que sí lo hacen, lo que cubre una amplia gama de posibilidades. El abuso sexual en menores de edad es frecuente y se ha convertido en un problema de salud pública. Las víctimas suelen ser mujeres a pesar de que existen ciertos factores de riesgo que predisponen a ciertos niños a ser agredidos, y sus abusadores por lo general son personas cercanas a ellos. The prevalence of sedentary behaviors and the relevance of body weight control to prevent chronic diseases are highlighted. A total of 2492 documents were obtained. Subsequently, the exclusion of articles was carried out through the eligibility criteria, duplicate elimination, title reading filter, abstract and full text reading. Finally, a total of 10 articles were obtained to carry out the scope review. Although addictive behavior is well studied, there is little information on sexual addictions in young adults. For this reason, the objective was to identify the knowledge that the scopus and pubmed databases present about sexual addiction in young adults between 2008 and August 2022. A total of 11 articles were included in the review, the existing knowledge was It groups around: 1) compulsive use of pornography and the effect it has on the individual's sexual life, 2) motivations for consuming pornography, and 3) effects on the brain. Future research is expected to yield more precise results on the effect of problematic porn consumption on human behavior and health.Item Afrontamiento cognitivo conductual de los adultos mayores frente a vulnerabilidades emocionales y psicosociales(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2019) Andrade, Amanda Yadira; López Santander, Rodrigo (Director); Botero Carvajal, Alejandro (Director)The research addresses four current theories on coping strategies in the elderly. A bibliographic review is carried out on the cognitive behavioral theory, which provides the theoretical and practical tools necessary when thinking about the behavior, cognition and emotionality of the human being, as well as the coping strategies that have been theoretically described. Therefore, what is proposed is a work of analysis and synthesis regarding the coping strategies described by the models of: Lazarus and Folkman, Ellis and Beck, Jeffrey Young, and George Kelly regarding the contributions that constitute the cognitive model behavioral as a theoretical body that integrates these contributions, as well as their possible therapeutic applications that respond to the problems that the elderly person is going through: depressive states, anxiety problems, progressive isolation and social discrimination. Thus, the knowledge of coping strategies and their repercussion will lead to think about their incidence in the mental health of the elderly, since these are used to face the changing internal and external circumstances that appear at the biological, organic, social, cultural and psychological.Item Afrontamiento del duelo por la pérdida de familiares por Covid-19 en estudiantes universitarios(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2022) Machado Salazar, Antonella; Truque Vergara, Yoici Karina; Jiménez Mora, Abraham Heriberto (Director); Muñoz Cuartas, Leopoldo (Director)The loss of family members who have suffered from Covid-19 has been a situation of great relevance during the last two years, due to the fact that multiple changes have been presented at the psychological and emotional level in human beings (Wallace et al., 2020). (2020) the pandemic produced a high number of human lives lost globally, which led to the impossibility of a normal mourning process and the performance of rituals by each family due to the health emergency and/or spread of the virus. Monografía.(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2024) Pérez Herrera, Ana María; Valencia Salazar, Marcela María; Rivas Jiménez, Valentina; Villamarín Betancourt, Eder Antonio (Director)Cow's milk is a common source of protein in the diet, however, some people may develop intolerance or allergy to these macronutrients, this can trigger different symptoms in each of the affected individuals, predominating gastrointestinal, skin and respiratory disorders; it should be noted that this allergic reaction, like any other, if not treated effectively, can be potentially fatal. Objective: To analyze the scope of allergy to cow's milk protein in order to identify the pathology and thus improve the time of treatment initiation and prognosis in minor patients as a clinical challenge for current medicine. Methodology: a review of the literature was carried out that included cross-sectional descriptive observational studies, cases and controls and cohorts in patients with a clinical history compatible with Allergy to Cow's Milk Proteins "CMPA". Articles published in Spanish, English and Portuguese in the period between 2016 and 2023 were selected, using the PRISMA flowchart and consulting databases such as: Scielo, Scopus, Dialnet, ScienceDirect, Elsevier and PubMed. Results: the main symptom found was atopic dermatitis, where the highest incidence occurred in children living in urban areas.
