In this article, the documentary review of analyzes and studies of specialists in the field of social and occupational safety was carried out to determine if the normativity and regulations that the State created in the area of prevention and occupational safety conform to the reality of the system Colombian labor. The analysis allowed us to conclude that in the years that it has been operating it presents regulatory and procedural gaps that limit the coverage and access of certain population groups in the labor field. The methodology of the document is based on a mixed approach that integrates qualitative and quantitative elements to analyze the competitiveness environment of the sector. The concept of Porter's Value Chain (1985) and the application of the peer group "Financial planning and value management" (González & Carmona., 2018) are used. In addition, the "Gestor" database is used to obtain the financial data of the top 10 companies in sales of the sector, highlighting variables such as sales, growth in sales, profit and profitability, which contribute to this financial analysis of competitiveness. As for the results, a positive relationship between financial indicators and the competitiveness of companies in the construction sector in Cali is evident. Several companies have shown significant growth in sales and profitability, being "REGENCY SAS" identified as the most competitive. This widely recognized model in service management allows analyzing the gap between users' expectations and perceptions regarding service quality. Through this methodological approach, the aim is to identify areas for improvement in service provision within the university context, with the goal of optimizing user satisfaction and enhancing the overall quality of services offered. The university's services include general medicine, psychology, nursing, vaccination, dentistry, speech therapy and/or language therapy, respiratory therapy, and physiotherapy. Among which it is concluded that all the investigations agree that the spin-offs are based on the increase of innovations from companies that are highly competitive in their sector.Item Análisis de la implementación del teletrabajo en las empresas de Colombia(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2019) Belalcázar Millán, Julieth; Lasso Montoya, María Camila; Quiroz Macías, Paula Andrea; Escobar Cabrera, Julio Cesar (Director)Teleworking is a form of work organization that consists of the performance of work activities outside the company, using information and communication technologies as support, the purpose of this research is to analyze the implementation of teleworking in Colombian companies looking for know, its beginnings, characteristics, evolution and the Colombian legislation in front of this new modality of work, demonstrating the conditions to take into account for its implementation. This work has secondary sources from the review of documents in electronic databases and four interviews to officials of the Human Resources Area of organizations and / or entities that have already implemented this new work modality, yielding positive results for the company as for the worker. In conclusion, teleworking is a model that seeks the welfare of the worker and that organizations obtain benefits in terms of increased productivity, more efficient processes, lower costs and reduced absenteeism.Item Análisis de la Motivación Intrínseca y Extrínseca y su Relación con el Desempeño Organizacional(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2025) Lobatón Cuero, Michel Andrea; Cardona Urrea, Mariana Camila; Ortiz Noreña, Juan Diego; Valencia Velosa, Juan Manuel (Director)The purpose of this study is to analyze intrinsic and extrinsic motivation and their relationship with organizational performance through a documentary review, seeking to more clearly understand how these elements affect productivity, talent retention, and organizational success. This research is classified as descriptive and adopts a qualitative approach, drawing on secondary sources such as scientific articles, theses, books, and reports obtained from databases such as Dialnet, Scielo, Redalyc, and Google Scholar. The results show that intrinsic motivation, linked to personal interest and satisfaction, is associated with faster and more effective learning; in contrast, extrinsic motivation can be related to financial incentives or recognition. In conclusion, motivation, whether intrinsic or extrinsic, is one of the keys to improving performance and learning; however, intrinsic motivation exerts a more persistent effect on performance and knowledge acquisition over time. Likewise, the type of leadership described in leadership theories (transformational, authentic, inclusive) represents a necessary condition for generating a positive work environment and, so, fostering employee motivation and performance. A favorable work environment in organizations is also an essential requirement for talent retention, innovation, and organizational results, making work environment management a path to business success. Finally, future studies could delve deeper into how these variables vary in diverse cultural contexts, as well as the effects of digitalization and remote work on motivation, leadership, and the work environment.Item Análisis de la oferta del programa de administración de empresas en las universidades de cali(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2022) Araujo Sepúlveda, Leticia; Escobar Cabrera, Julio Cesar (Director)The Business Administration program is offered by all the universities of Cali, for this reason the need arises to compare its characteristics, which is of interest both for higher education institutions and for applicants to enter, and this analysis facilitates institutions, making decisions for the improvement of programs at the time of renewal of qualified registration or renewal of high quality. The purpose of this research was to analyze the offer of the Business Administration program in the universities of Cali. This work was carried out with secondary sources represented by documents such as books and articles from digital magazines taken from databases such as academic Google, Scielo, and websites of public and private entities. In addition, the technique that was initially used was the bibliographic review and then a documentary analysis. The results show that of the 13 Universities of Cali that offer the Business Administration program, three are public and 10 are private, of which six have high-quality accreditation, while 7 have this program accredited and 6 have both accreditations (institutional and program). The number of credits of the Administration programs ranges from 170 at the Icesi University to 142 at the Minuto de Dios University Corporation, which is possibly related to differences in the number of subjects and their hourly intensity. The number of semesters varies from 11 at the Universidad del Valle at night, to 8 semesters at the Universidad Católica, Universidad Antonio Nariño, Universidad Javeriana, Universidad Libre and Universidad Cooperativa. The universities of Cali coincide in training for entrepreneurship as a way to motivate their students and future professionals to create their own companies. Most universities offer the program during the day and at night, thus facilitating the possibility of studying and working, however, the existence of two additional modalities stands out: distance learning in the Minuto de Dios University Corporation and San Martin University and the virtual at the Santiago de Cali University and the Antonio Nariño University. The value of the semester varies widely among the universities, with the most expensive being those offered by the Icesi University ($10,800,000), the Pontifical Javeriana University ($9,554,000) and the Autonomous University of the West ($6,007,000), and the least expensive those offered by the Minuto de Dios University Corporation ($1,854,800), San Martin University ($1,865,800), Antonio Nariño University ($2,749,000), Antonio José Camacho University Institution ($2,771,004) and the National School Sports ($2,774,180), this difference in cost is related to the conditions that the universities put at the service of the students. In conclusion, the characteristics of the Business Administration programs offered by the universities of Cali, present differences in aspects such as: type of institution according to public or private nature, modality, working day, duration, number of credits, cost of the semester, plan studies, occupational profile, professional profile and accreditation status.Item Análisis de las causas que inciden en la rotación de personal de colaboradores pertenecientes a la generación millennial en el sector de la construcción en el rango de años 2019-2023(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2023) Pizarro Candelo, Astrid Soffia; Moreno, Juan Carlos(Director)Young millennials have remarkably similar characteristics in terms of the aptitude and attitude they take in a job, being very emphatic to remain in an area that does not satisfy them or does not meet their expectations Through documentary review, such as scientific articles, magazines, books, among other, it is evident that in the construction sector the turnover of millennials personnel occurs very commonly regardless of the year in which they are, because for the performance in that sector the worker collaborator must give up comforts for low wages, appear in the workplace given that teleworking is impossible, among others. That is why in his preference are the jobs in which technology is the center of development, such as a position of systems engineer or programmer, being trades that are currently very well paid and on top of that appealing to that generation that is digitally native.Item Analisis de las estrategias de adaptacion de colombia al cambio climatico(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2022) Mejia Carvajal, Geraldine Camila; Brochero Sanchez, Diana Katherine; Gonzalez Gonzalez, Brigytt; Romo Londoño, Herliz Juliana (Directora)The purpose of this work was to analyze the adaptation strategies to climate change in Colombia. This research was descriptive and the method was analytical since the topic was divided into the following components: global warming problem, Colombia's Climate Change Adaptation Strategies and their degree of compliance, Colombia's Current Strategies for Climate Change Adaptation Climate. For which information was used from secondary sources of databases such as web pages, public and private institutions, academic Google and websites in governmental and private organizations. The data collection technique was bibliographic review and documentary analysis. The results show the seriousness of the problem of climate change for the future of the earth, and the increase in temperature of the atmosphere (greenhouse effect), has been accelerated by human activities, so it is important to take actions to adapt to changes. Irreversible. Colombia formulated a National Plan for Adaptation to Climate Change which contains three objectives with their strategies: Objective 1. Knowledge: strategies 1) Strengthening of management, 2) Education and 3) Strengthening of capacities. Objective 2. Planning: strategies 1) Incorporation of variability and 2) Development of projects. Objective 3. Transformation of development: strategies 1) Impact management, 2) Agricultural production, 3) Prospective reduction and 4) Green growth. In Latin America and the Caribbean, there is a varied portfolio of public policies on adaptation and mitigation with different situations by country. However, there are differences in the public policies enunciated, which are concentrated in some sectors, such as adaptation in water, biodiversity, forests, agriculture, infrastructure and human settlements, and mitigation in forests, energy or transportation. However, high uncertainty about the effects of the policies persists. For the improvement of adaptation strategies Which we believe requires innovation to take advantage of available knowledge and technology in an ingenious way, while developing greater knowledge on the subject and achieving the development of specialized technology to help Colombia adapt to this phenomenon. In conclusion, the problem of global warming is serious and it is expected that the Colombian adaptation plan will reduce its effects.Item Análisis de las estrategias de marketing digital en pymes postpandemia(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2023) Bermúdez Parra, Diego Fernando; Orozco Victoria, Daniel Felipe; López García, Gissela; Norato Hernandez, Francy LilianaThis review article analyzes the trend of digital marketing strategies in post-pandemic SMEs. Firstly, a description of the management of digital marketing by SMEs before the health emergency caused by Covid-19 is made, taking into account the lack of knowledge, disinterest and lack of tools to apply it correctly, in addition to the way traditional way of marketing, subsequently, the scenario of the pandemic and the changes it generated for companies is presented, in which SMEs were seriously affected, so they had to change the way of advertising and promoting their products and/or or services, likewise, the benefits that the proper use of digital marketing and the application of all the tools it has to generate greater visibility in the current market has meant for SMEs. For this review, 38 articles were initially analyzed, of which 10 articles were selected that met the proposed criteria and allowed the objective to be developed. Finally, the main findings of the investigation and suggestions about the way in which the indicated problem should be addressed are presented.Item Análisis de las prácticas de responsabilidad social en el sector salud, caso fundación valle del lili 2022(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2023) Herrera Rueda, Stefannia; Lopez, Sergio Andres (Director)The study of Corporate Social Responsibility is not only urgent and is ontheagenda of public and private entities, but also responsible and important in its ownright compared to what it refers to and implies, so that, when we consider that the variousorganizations have a series of commitments, as well as extensive obligations regardingthe treatment, conditions and care of their employees, society and the environment fromthe co-responsibility of duty/being, this concept acquires greater breadth in practice. An exploratory study was carried out using the deductive method, with thepurpose of analyzing social responsibility practices in the health sector, specificallyinthe Valle del Lili Foundation for the year 2022. Regarding the results found, it is determined that the companies have thecommitment to contribute to the well-being of the population and the workers, andthusachieve a society that is sustainable from the economic, social and environmental aspects, but in the same way it can be Visualize the challenges that still exist for theeffective development of relationships between organizations and society.Item Análisis de las principales variables impactadas con el proceso de implementación de acreditación en una Empresa Social del Estado (ESE) del sector salud de primer nivel en Santiago de Cali(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2020) Mosquera López, Diana Marcela; Osorio Tejada, Jorge Leonardo; Sinisterra Torres, Harry Antonio; Andrade Agudelo, Doris Lilia (Directora)The objective of this work is to determine the benefit reflected in the services derived from the implementation of the quality accreditation process in the ESE Center Health Network in the city of Santiago de Cali, during the period of 2015 - 2018. At the methodological level the documentary review of academic documents, official and management reports of the ESE under study in the period between 2014 and 2018 was used. The accreditation brings benefits in the operational capacity of the ESE of health, regarding the progress of patients was achieved an increase, progressive between 2014 and 2018, in the latter where evidence will be achieved that had a progress of 2004 patients. In financial terms, a positive impact was also found, the ESE presented a budget balance where revenues are greater than the projected expenses for validity, the average income over expenses is 6%, registering a greater increase in 2017 of a year. 12% of the value of expenses, which concludes that the administration has policies to increase production with a level of projected expenses or below budget. Part of the economic success focused on the sale of services of the entity in the attention to the population of the subsidized regime, one for its geographical location in the most vulnerable communities of the city and another for the regime of users of greater attention in the provision of services of the city of Cali. Therefore, the preferences of the population of Cali in this social network were analyzed, it was also revealed how often they acquire said products and if they prefer to continue with the traditional exit abroad to be able to acquire their products or if, on the contrary, they are more modern and have adapted to technology, which leads them to decide to buy products virtually. Everything said above can be known through a multiple choice survey, where several Caleños gave their opinion. As a result, it was obtained that despite being in a century where inclusion is paramount, it is still noted that makeup is mostly used by more women than men. Six Cali companies that offer makeup products on Instagram were also analyzed, where it was confirmed that this is the most used social network due to its great ease of acquiring a product, and also to know the different functions and properties of the different items that they want to acquire. Therefore, the problem identified is related to a lack of information about the work environment in a public educational institution in Santiago de Cali. This was based on the absence of an effective means of communication between the different branches of the institution, which makes it difficult to coordinate activities. Therefore, this research focused on analyzing the organizational climate of an official educational institution in Santiago de Cali, with the aim of identifying the influencing factors to propose strategies that would lead to its improvement, this work was based on the mixed approach and the type of study used was the descriptive one, the analytical method was used to understand the nature of the organization's climate, A survey adapted to the reality of the institution was carried out, which was applied to 10 employees of the administrative area, in order to analyze aspects related to the organizational climate such as communication, motivation, reward, conflict, cooperation, among others. The results of this study provided crucial information for the development of strategies to improve the organizational environment in the educational entityItem Análisis del comportamiento sobre el consumo del café y la fritanga valluna de los habitantes de la comuna cinco en la ciudad de santiago de cali.(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2024) Montoya Tulcán, Luis Felipe; Sanabria Arias, Elizabeth; Preciado Estacio, Stefania; Valencia Velosa, Juan Manuel (Asesor)Colombia is a Latin American country rich in culture and gastronomic diversity, among which stand out the 'fritanga valluna' and coffee as strong cultural representatives of the country. Colombian coffee, globally recognized for its exceptional quality, competes in the market with countries like Brazil, Vietnam, and Indonesia. On the other hand, the 'fritanga valluna,' deeply rooted in family traditions since pre-Columbian times, has been passed down from generation to generation in Colombian homes. Because of this, the present investigation arises with the objective of analyzing the behavior regarding the consumption of coffee and 'fritanga valluna' among the residents of the fifth district of the city of Santiago de Cali, since being two products so cultural and characteristic of the Colombian people, no evidence of 4 study was found from the literary review conducted, particularly in the analyzed context. For the development of the mentioned objective, a descriptive and deductive approach is used, employing eleven interviews and two focus groups of five people each, where close collaboration was carried out with the restaurant 'Antojos la 62' for the data collection process. Additionally, the study is contextualized with information about coffee in Colombia and the gastronomy of Valle del Cauca. The results of this study offer a clear perspective on the buying habits of the inhabitants of Cali in the district, highlighting the direct influence of culture on these decisions and, however, a generational change among young people is observed, which slightly modifies their consumption choices, indicating an evolution in dietary preferences within the community. Additionally, a preference for consuming savory products with coffee was observed and promoting this combination as a business option was suggested. Likewise, informal vendors agreed on the satisfaction of customers when consuming this fusion, although some suggested promoting it more among young people to reduce the consumption of carbonated beverages. However, the results of this research not only contribute to academic knowledge about Colombian gastronomy but can also be useful for the local gastronomic sector and the promotion of the cultural identity of the region, offering valuable perspectives for stakeholders in the gastronomic sector by providing relevant information to improve the supply of products and services.Item Análisis del enfoque liderazgo de las mujeres presente en la gerencia en Pymes: desafíos y casos de éxito(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2020) Gómez Cajas, María Fernanda; Rojas Henao, Jonathan Fernando; Motta Delgado, Miller Andrés; Vásquez Rivera, Oscar Iván (Director)The objective of this work is to analyze the female leadership approach present in business management in Colombia. A methodological level this work corresponds to a descriptive study, which consists of describing a problem or phenomenon evidenced in a population, consulting secondary sources of information, through documentary review, among these scientific articles, degree works, scientific reports and official reports . Regarding the experiences or cases of women in management positions, there are examples in large companies, where women have led projects and management strategies that have allowed them recognition at the national and international level. At the same time, it became visible how women have excelled in entrepreneurship projects in the context of SMEs. In the aforementioned cases, it became visible that the effort of women had an economic impact because it consolidated a business idea, but beyond that it also became evident that their work has a social impact generating jobs, while they are a reference of leadership and social work that transforms the stereotypes of women in society. It is concluded that from human management efforts have been developed so that women have equal opportunities and access to senior management positions in SMEs, efforts range from modifying organizational discourse and gender-related stereotypes, to transform the profiles of positions, which should lead to equal opportunities and conditions for men and women.
