Given its high mortality and the risk of serious sequelae, nursing care is essential to improve the chances of recovery and prevent complications. This paper examines the main areas of care in preterm infants with NEC, focusing on feeding, weight gain, and postoperative needs. These aspects are essential in nursing intervention to promote the development of premature infants, optimize their nutritional status and prepare them for a stable evolution in the hospital environment and later at home. This pathology affects 5-7% of preterm newborns and with very low birth weight, less than 1,500 grams. If the weight is less than 1,000 grams, the incidence increases to 14%. About 90% of affected patients are less than 34 weeks of gestation. There fore, it represents one of the main causes of mortality in this age group, with a rate of 30-40%4,5.Item Cuidado humanizado de enfermería en la unidad de cuidados intensivos. Nursing care provides strategies and comprehensive and humanized care, favoring prenatal control in each of its stages, thus benefiting both the mother and the baby, allowing an adequate development of the pregnancy. The objective of the work was to promote a nursing care plan to favor prenatal control. A scope review was carried out through the electronic databases that was carried out using the prism methodology, through the critical reading of Joanna Briggs, which identified 11 articles divided into four categories: technology based on the care, education based on care, accessibility and continuity of care, which allowed to propose a care plan to favor prenatal control based on the NANDA taxonomy that classified the results through the NOC and interventions through the NIC, which provide care based on scientific evidence with quality care. Conclusion Through the nursing process, a strategy was obtained that favors adherence to prenatal controls, providing standardized care; the systematic literature review provided the necessary elements to propose a care plan based on the quality of life of people.Item El rol de la familia en el debut sexual de los adolescentes: revisión de alcance(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2023) Córdoba Rojas, Juan Camilo; Córdoba Perafan, Yulieth Tatiana; Correa Moreno, Juan José; Villegas Arenas, Dolly (Directora)Introduction: WHO defines adolescence as the period of growth occurring after childhood and before adulthood. In adolescence, sex and sexuality are complex aspects since they are unaware of the risks associated with this practice; the onset of sexual activity is between 13 and 16 years of age. Objective: To determine the role of the family in the sexual debut of adolescents. Methodology: Scope review based on the problem question: How does the family influence sexual debut in adolescents, under the PECO Methodology: (population, exposure, Comparison Result), the search was carried out in electronic databases such as: DIALNET PLUS, Springer, Sciencie direct, SciELO, using AND and OR operators, the descriptors in Health Science (DeCS) were consulted. Result: The scoping review was supported by 12 articles that allowed the identification of 2 categories: Category 1: family that influences the early onset of sexual relations in adolescents. Category 2: Family that does not influence the early onset of sexual relations in adolescents. The family is an influential factor in sexual debut, playing a promoting or antagonistic role depending on the family structure, socioeconomic status, effective communication, family support and monitoring; in addition, peers and the Internet play an important role in sexual debut. Conclusion: The family, being a fundamental axis in the sexual debut, needs to receive education and sensitization that prepares them early to face the changes of the adolescent, reducing the risks of this stage. The results will provide a broad conceptualization of early sexuality and will result in actions to prevent and control the risk of early sexuality.Item Estrategia educativa para la valoración de signos vitales(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2023) Álzate Álzate, Cielito; Olave Daza, Ariel; Escobar Martos, Kelly Johanna; Villegas Arenas, Dolly (Directora)The ability to perform vital signs assessment is part of the knowledge system during training and professional performance, hence the importance of educational strategies for assessment that complement and reinforce professional skills. This condition affects not only the development of the infant but also the family dynamics, since the care of a child with DS requires constant and specialized support. The family plays a crucial role in the care and development of an infant with Down syndrome. From the time of diagnosis, family members become the main providers of emotional, physical and educational support. Their involvement and understanding are essential to face the challenges presented by the syndrome and to foster an environment that promotes the well-being and optimal development of the child.Item Sobrepeso, obesidad y circunferencia de cintura en estudiantes de una universidad de Cali, 2022(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2022) Molina Molina, Yeraldin; Mina Ocoro, Yadi Suledy; Pavi Yonda, Erika Paola; Villegas Arenas, Dolly (Directora)
