(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2024) Vargas Zapata, Franklin; Avendaño Rodríguez, Luis Alfredo (Director)
The main objective of this research is to analyze the application of the constructivist pedagogical model in competency-based education for job training that is offered to young people in the tenth grade at the Buitrera Educational Institution in the municipality of Santiago de Cali. It is vitally important to examine the constructivist pedagogical model and the competency-based approach, understanding that they are adopted by the institution for the future of its institutional processes. This is why an analysis of the pedagogical and formative effects that these have on young people is necessary, in addition to the possibilities for further development that they offer to students. The present study is qualitative in nature, through a case study with a convenience sample, the information was collected through surveys, participation observation and field diary. One of the main conclusions is that the pedagogical model implemented in the institution is not decisive for the learning of young people; they perceive that they acquire knowledge and skills regardless of the strategies used by teachers.
