    In this research project it was confirmed that the teaching of mathematics in general, both at basic and university levels, implies a challenge for teachers in the investigation of pedagogical strategies and renewing options that effectively promote learning in students. The pedagogical practices of mathematics teachers of the educational institution La Cabaña are put to the test by evidencing lack of interest and low performance of students, which requires a change in the work of teachers. In other words, we are invited to go deeper into the classroom and observe each event in the teaching and learning process between teachers and students.

    Evaluation is a fundamental part of the teaching and learning process, since it allows us to demonstrate the development of skills and competencies in students, and thus define strategies for improvement and strengthening. A formative evaluation includes daily practices in classrooms, in innovative didactics by teachers with tools to achieve the objectives proposed at the institutional level. Taking into account the above, this reflection article aims to identify the evaluation practices developed by teachers at the La Cabaña Educational Institution to analyze, through a qualitative methodology based on interviews with teachers, their relevance according to the training purposes, level of learning and possible limitations for its implementation.

    Competencias ciudadanas: una apuesta en el currículo integrador para fomentar la resolución de conflictos, en un colegio privado de la ciudad de Cali.

    The main objective of this article is to provide first grade students of a private school in the city of Cali with the necessary tools for effective conflict resolution, through an integrative curriculum that links citizen competencies. Supported by a qualitative methodological approach, the results indicated the prevailing need to provide students with skills that allow them to confront conflicts in a purposeful manner. It is concluded that the incorporation of citizen competencies not only allows conflicts to be resolved effectively, but also contributes to the formation of critical and reflective individuals about their social environment and, ultimately, to the construction of a more humane and tolerant.

    Propuesta didáctica de educación menstrual para el PPT de educación sexual de la Institución Educativa Mercedes Ábrego

    This article analyzes the structural components of the Transversal Pedagogical Project on 'Sexual Education' at the Mercedes Ábrego Educational Institution, with the purpose of determining whether Menstrual Education is addressed within it. Using a mixed methodology, this study examines the content of documents and programs established by the Ministry of National Education related to 'Sexual Education.' Additionally, semi-structured interviews are conducted with the teachers responsible for designing and implementing this Transversal Project at the mentioned Educational Institution. Similarly, through a questionnaire, an inquiry is made about the level of knowledge of the 37 students in the seventh grade regarding Sexuality and Menstrual Education.

    El Aprendizaje Basado en Proyectos (ABP) como estrategia metodológica en la asignatura de emprendimiento en la Institución Educativa Simón Bolívar en el Municipio de Guacarí

    This article was aimed at analyzing the level of acceptance of the proposal for the implementation of the ABP system in the area of entrepreneurship, identifying how it affects the interest of students in the 10th and 11th grades of technical high school. The design of the study was elaborated with a qualitative approach, of descriptive type since it focused on knowing the opinion of each one of the young people, supported by observation and documentary analysis. It is a research with a descriptive exploratory transectional design that seeks and analyzes several sources of reference, for this study it is proposed to work with a sample of 50 students of the 10th and 11th grades of the technical high school in the mentioned institution by means of face-to-face surveys in semi-structured interviews and in this way to apply the didactics under this methodology that allows to create learning thanks to the planning of the students depending on the teacher to solve the problem from the characterization of the students. After the analysis of the information collected, it is evident that the level of acceptance of the proposal for the implementation of the PBL system in the area of Entrepreneurship is high, and the interest of students in the application of this methodology in the proposal "Casa banquetera" is identified.

    Análisis de los métodos de enseñanza en el deporte formativo, acondicionamiento físico de una universidad de Cali

    This article deals with the formative sport, Physical Conditioning of a Higher Education institution in the city of Cali. Its objective was to analyze the methods used for teaching-learning and their incidence in students, using an observation guide and a survey with three open questions. This allowed us to identify 3 methods used most frequently; the scientific, the mixed and the technique procedure and 3 less frequently; the global, analytical and traditional method. It ends with a methodological proposal that could be suggested to future professionals in the field who do not have experience.     The conception of learning against the conservation of natural resources through educational practices in early childhood, seeks to generate critical thinking through pedagogical practices, for this reason this research revolves around designing 3 environmental education strategies that impact the lives of those boys and girls under 5 years of age who are the ones cared for by the Nuestra Señora de los Remedios Children's Home, in this process all the educational agents were involved to aim at the didactic sequences that were used in the classrooms to attend to the three critical points that the institution has in the management of solid waste and water.

    El argot juvenil y su influencia en los procesos de escritura

    The research Youth slang and its influence on writing processes has as its main objective the design of a didactic strategy at the Nelson Garcés Vernaza Educational Institution specifically with tenth grade students; by means of which it is sought that they become aware of the lexicon they use, that is, the slang proper to their context, and that this is a motivation to write. First, the aim is to identify the use of youth slang by students in the writing processes, to later build a dictionary among all the participants where the lexicon and the expressions proper to their context are condensed, and thus, to be able to design a didactic strategy to encourage tenth grade youth to write, since they show a constant rejection of writing. 3 To achieve the objectives set out in the research, data collection instruments were used such as: the observation of students in the educational context and the field diary to collect information. These were a great input for the design of the teaching strategy. During the research, the students actively participated in each of the activities proposed; The concept of Youth Slang and its use as something specific to age and context were positively presented. The foregoing greatly facilitated collaborative work and the commitment to develop the activities, and with it, collective reflection on the use of youth slang in their writing was encouraged. The results obtained during the investigation showed that the students showed confidence when carrying out their writings and also felt motivated to use their slang within educational practice. During the design of the didactic strategy, it was sought that creative writing take strength and be the main tool to develop writing processes in students. Finally, it is important to mention that the didactic strategy designed in this research manages to adapt to the needs of different grades; which allows raising awareness and reflecting on the use of slang in elementary, high school and vocational media and using it as a very valuable resource to encourage writing

    Propuesta de un instrumento de autoevaluación con fines de acreditación: Factor egresados, en programas de medicina de pregrado

    The present research, located in the research line in policies and educational management, of the master of education of the Santiago de Cali university, proposes a tool that can be used by higher education institutions to perform the self-assessment of the Impact Factor of Graduates on the Environment, in the development of high quality accreditation processes specifically for undergraduate programs in medicine; this tool is a product of the integration of the evaluative aspects of the National Accreditation Council in Colombia 2013 and of the modules of the international accreditation model for medicine programs of the World Federation of Medical Education -WFME 2015. This proposal is developed through a qualitative basic research, while proposing a new theoretical construct based on other problems, by generating a more relevant and specific tool to address the processes of self-evaluation and accreditation of undergraduate programs in Medicine within the framework of the quality assurance system education in Colombia, seeking its position and international recognition. To this end, a review of the accreditation models identified, as well as the methodologies and instruments used by different programs accredited in Colombia to perform the self-assessment of the Impact of Graduates in the Environment factor, is based on that specifically identify gaps and common points on which its integration and development are based, thus reaching the development of the proposed instrument, which was sometimes evaluated by a panel of experts seeking to determine its relevance and validity from the perspective of the evaluator and the assessed. The proposed self-assessment instrument will be configured in a convenient, useful, practical and easily understood and implemented tool during the self-assessment processes in accreditation by the undergraduate programs in medicine, strengthen them in the search for quality, recognition and positioning international.

    Factores familiares influyentes en el aprendizaje de las matemáticas de los estudiantes de tercero de primaria de una Institución Educativa en el Cauca

    The purpose of this research project was to analyze the family factors that influenced the learning of mathematics, of third grade students of primary school, in the San Jacinto Rural Educational Center, municipality of Guachené, department of Cauca. This study finds a sample of 18 students, 18 parents and a teacher; to achieve this, several instruments were applied with the purpose of collecting the information corresponding to the dimensions of the family climate and the performance in mathematics presented by these students; to find the causes of his academic performance in this area. The research was quantitative, under a non-experimental research design and of a correlational nature or scope. The results showed that the family climate does have a significant impact on the academic performance of children in the area of mathematics, as it is the basis of the child's cognitive and social development.

    Códigos Sociolingüisticos y análisis Crítico del informe de la actividad diagnóstica 5° propuesta por el el icfes y el Men en el componente saber Lenguaje-2012.

    La evaluación en Colombia aplicada por las agencias pedagógicas institucionales nacionales, e internacionales, es un asunto de marcada importancia dentro del reconocimiento de la calidad educativa, que responde a requerimientos y metas de procesos de globalización de la educación (Brunner, 1990; Díaz et al, 2006; Díaz, 2007; 2011). Los estándares internacionales trazan rutas para la formulación de planes de mejoramiento o transformación de políticas nacionales orientadas a responder a los requerimientos educativos. En este sentido, la aplicación de las pruebas SABER 5 en Colombia se considera una expresión de las influencias y determinaciones de las agencias, agentes y discursos diversos. Es evidente que esto conlleva a tensiones y polémicas sociales, económicas y de políticas educativas. La estandarización o parametrización de los niveles de competencia deseables, por lo general, conducen a eliminar en un instrumento de evaluación las condiciones sociales, culturales y académicas. La aparente inclusión de todos los estudiantes en el mismo mecanismo de evaluación hace de éste un instrumento neutro ajeno a toda diferencia de orden social, cultural o “sociodemográfica”. La propuesta de las pruebas SABER posee una codificación de la comunicación de manera explícita y, en consecuencia, hace abstracción de los códigos sociolingüísticos que traen los alumnos de los diferentes niveles a las pruebas SABER 5. Éstas no se encuentran propiamente contextualizadas en el marco de los códigos sociolingüísticos de la población educativa y de sus características particulares. Los resultados, por cierto, no muy satisfactorios terminan traduciéndose en políticas y estrategias de mejoramiento de la calidad de la educación, la cual no 13 alcanza los estándares internacionales ya que, según los informes, un alto porcentaje de la población no supera los niveles mínimos de las competencias deseadas.

    El presente trabajo de fin Maestría propone una herramienta que de manera apropiada y sencilla guía a un aprendiz Sena de cualquier especialidad a generar una idea para proyecto con base a una necesidad y a su vez pueda formular dicho proyecto a razón de un modelo con la estructura básica de la metodología de marco lógico. Compuesto por 5 módulos de trabajo que le permitirán al aprendiz apropiarse de la práctica del conocimiento para comprender un proceso metodológico que vivencie la maduración y formulación de una idea de proyecto. El Objeto de Aprendizaje propuesto está desarrollado con lenguaje de programación Php, con elementos de Htm5 y Css, diseños en CorelDrawx7 y motor de bases de datos MySql, todo bajo licencia libre orientado a los factores de conocimiento, calidad y experiencia previa. Se realizó un estudio en un contexto educativo real con un grupo de aprendices de Formulación de proyectos Sena (Centro de Diseño Tecnológico Industrial), con el objetivo de evaluar la importancia de cada uno de los módulos de trabajo que articulan el Objeto de aprendizaje, para ello se crearon instrumentos de recolección de datos como encuesta y entrevista, posteriormente aplicadas al grupo de aprendices.

    "Estudio comparativo de los diseños de los programas de Licenciatura en Lenguas Extranjeras en países de América Latina y Colombia con énfasis en el idioma Inglés"

    La presente investigación se centra en un estudio comparativo de los diseños curriculares de los programas de licenciatura de lenguas extranjeras en cuatro países de América Latina (Chile, Ecuador, Argentina y Colombia), con énfasis en el idioma inglés. El estudio parte de nociones teórico-conceptuales asociadas al currículo y al diseño curricular, y avanza en los registros relacionados con el desarrollo del inglés en América Latina y las correspondientes políticas públicas. Igualmente se incorporan los enfoques sobre las lenguas modernas, sus antecedentes, y el campo del diseño curricular de los programas de licenciatura en lenguas extranjeras. Para el desarrollo de la investigación, se tomó una muestra compuesta por 40 programas académicos de Instituciones de Educación Superior, tanto públicas como privadas, de los países en mención. Se analizaran los diseños curriculares de los países estudiados, y se realizó una comparación de los currículos de los programas de lenguas extranjeras, tomando como objeto básico los respectivos planes de estudio. Las categorías que se utilizaron para el análisis fueron los objetivos de los programas, las asignaturas, los créditos, la distribución temporal, y la organización curricular, entre otras. El principal resultado de la investigación realizada indica que deben efectuarse diferentes transformaciones al currículo de esta disciplina para que alcance las metas que pretende en cuanto al desarrollo de competencias a nivel académico, social, económico, laboral y cultural en los contextos nacionales e internacionales

    El interés de la formar al ser humano hacia prácticas responsables con el ambiente de manera individual y colectiva, permite de una u otra forma, encaminar acciones que afiancen a una cultura ambiental hacia una ética ambiental. La educación como estrategia de reflexión busca brindar las herramientas necesarias para que el ciudadano comprenda las relaciones interdependientes con su entorno, con base en el conocimiento y lectura de su realidad, para que a partir del empoderamiento, se puedan suscitar en la comunidad educativa actitudes de valoración, cooperación y respeto por el ambiente. Este trabajo analizó la incidencia del aprendizaje cooperativo para afianzar la cultura ambiental en los estudiantes de quinto grado de la institución educativa oficial Gabriela Mistral del municipio de Cali. Los análisis mostraron que en lo referente a la variable de aprendizaje cooperativo y a sus descriptores los estudiantes mostraron aceptación a la estrategia metodológica.

    The main objective of this thesis is to understand the impact on the learning process of non-verbal communication of professors in the classroom. The focus of this research is kinesics; which is the use of hands by professors to communicate their message. This study has been conducted using semi- structured interviews with 30 students of Social Communication of the Santiago de Cali University. In these interviews, the respondents were asked to share their perception on one element of non-verbal communication of their professors. The results of these interviews have been analyzed through a qualitative study, realized by Aquad 7 software. The findings elaborate on how the different ways of kinesics impact the learning process in the classroom. In conclusion, this study shows that the use of kinesics seem to have a positive effect on the assertiveness of the professor-student relationship. So, professors could benefit of developing their non-verbal communication to strengthen the relationship with the students.
