The foregoing, in accordance with the needs found in the entity to guarantee principles of effectiveness and resource management that allow the timely development of the company, a product obtained through surveys carried out internally in which officials found deficiencies and efficiencies within of the process of selection and development of the functions, together with the manual of functions, being the origin of 2 the object of the selection of each official. This research aims to analyze the capacities implemented in the District of Santiago de Cali for sustainable 3 tourism since the post-pandemic. The study is descriptive using a mixed research methodology of primary and secondary sources provided by recognized entities through open science. In the quantitative analysis, descriptive statistics and data analytics are used. The study concludes that at the regulatory and public policy level, there is progress to create business and territorial capacities for the development of sustainable tourism, although the implementation is still deficient because many of the policies were issued for the postpandemic reactivation and no results are evident yet.Item Análisis de las características de empleabilidad de los egresados del programa de administración de empresas de una universidad privada en la ciudad de Cali durante el periodo 2020- 2022(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2023) Amórtegui Oliveros, Daniela; Martínez, Hasán Emir; Moreno Soto, Juan Carlos (Director)In recent years there has been a significant increase in the number of university graduates who find it difficult to be adequately employed. A qualitative research with descriptive scope was carried out by means of in-depth interviews with graduates of a private university in Cali to know their employability competencies. The graduates consider that the professional training helped them a lot in their employability situation, however, there are areas of knowledge and skills in which they perceive that the university did not deepen and that are in demand in the labor market. Most of the interviewees agree that they present more soft skills (SS) than technical knowledge, such as English or digital marketing. The main challenges they face at the time of employment are lack of experience and high competition with colleagues and professionals from other careers. For this reason, the research presented focused on Cruz Verde drugstore assistants in Santiago de Cali for the year 2023. The objective of this article is to present the results of the analysis of the psychosocial risks associated with the low productivity of their work, for which both qualitative and quantitative tools were used. Where the objectives were to analyze, identify, evaluate behaviors that affect productivity, affect their work, and increase psychosocial risks. Said analysis may present the design of more effective preventive and corrective measures to protect psychosocial health.Item Análisis del impacto de las herramientas de toma de decisiones y su relación con los estilos de liderazgo en las pymes 2020 - 2024(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2025) Giraldo Gonzalez, Paula Andrea; Puente Martínez, Juan Pablo (Director)The purpose of this document is to analyze the impact of decision-making tools and their relationship with leadership styles in SMEs 2020 - 2024; For which the different leadership styles present in SMEs were identified, analyzing their relationship with the decisionmaking process, likewise the most used tools for decision-making in SMEs and their influence on operational effectiveness were evaluated. Additionally, we consider how the integration of decision-making support tools can optimize leadership and organizational performance in SMEs, classifying the risks that arise in poor managerial decision-making in the different leadership styles in SMEs. To carry out the development of this bibliographic review, we relied on different databases such as Taylor & Francis, Science Direct and Dialnet. To achieve the objective, a descriptive study was carried out, where it was concluded that SMEs. They can be harmed if leaders do not make good decisions, nor are they aware of the decision-making tools they should use depending on the situation they are presenting, which is why it is key to determining the start-up and future of the company itself.Item Análisis del nivel de satisfacción del cliente en los usuarios mayores de 60 años, pertenecientes a la comuna 5 de la ciudad de Popayán afiliados a la eps Asmet Salud para el año 2022(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2022) Barrera Serna, Miguel Ángelo; Hurtado Sánchez, Germán Andrés; Garcés Aguilar, Wilson Noé (Director)The main objective of this research is to analyze the level of customer satisfaction presented by users over 60 years of age, belonging to commune 5 of the city of Popayán affiliated with the EPS ASMET SALUD for the year 2022. This research presents a quantitative approach with a descriptive scope, in which 131 users over 60 years of age affiliated with the EPS Asmet Salud participated. For this, the SERVQUAL model developed by Parasuraman, Zeithmal and Berry (1991) was used, which is made up of expectations and perceptions of service quality. In this investigation it was possible to identify four dimensions in which 12 reagents were adapted. Likewise, a survey was designed which is measured with a Likert Scale with five response options ranging from 1 to 5, where 1 is totally disagree and 5 totally agree. On the other hand, the applied satisfaction variable was based on the theoretical model of Kotler (2003), in which three dimensions with 7 reagents are adapted, with which it is sought to know the satisfaction that users present with the service provided by the EPS. Similarly, the Likert Scale is used with five response options ranging from 1 to 5, where 1 is totally disagree and 5 totally agree. It is concluded that according to the data obtained with the population under study, the EPS Asmet Salud presents critical points in the dimensions of Response Capacity with an unfavorable perception of 75.8%, additionally it presents an unfavorable assessment in the dimension of Empathy with a percentage negative of 42.9% and finally in the reliability and safety dimension it presents an unfavorable assessment of 35.3%, results that force the EPS to carry out an urgent improvement plan seeking to reduce the negative impact and thereby avoiding the increase of PQRS before Superhealth.Item Aproximación de un modelo de gestión con enfoque de capital social intraorganizacional a partir del comportamiento Microbiano(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2017) Giraldo Sánchez, Alba Lucia; Londoño Díaz, Elizabeth; Bravo García, SauloItem Aproximaciones sobre las motivaciones y las características del perfil emprendedor(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2018) Alzate Rodríguez, Fabián; Bravo García, SauloItem Cambios en el servicio al cliente mediante IA en el sector bancario en Cali-Colombia en el año 2024(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2025) Duque Martínez, Andrés Mauricio; Marroquín Zúñiga, Ana Yurany; López, Sergio Andrés (Director)Customer service is a critical factor in banking, as it directly influences user loyalty, trust in financial institutions, and competitive differentiation in an increasingly digitalized market. This article analyzes the changes in customer service processes in the banking sector of Cali in 2024, within a context where financial digitalization is key to improving operational efficiency, customer experience, and competitiveness. The objective of the article is to evaluate the changes brought by the implementation of Artificial Intelligence technologies in customer service, identifying innovations such as chatbots and predictive analytics, as well as their benefits and challenges. The research, with a mixed-method approach, employed surveys conducted with 392 banking customers and interviews with software providers to collect data on the perception and effectiveness of AI in customer service. The results indicate that AI has improved service personalization, response speed, and transaction security. However, barriers such as the lack of advanced technological infrastructure, cultural resistance to digitalization, and inequality in AI adoption among banking institutions persist. It is concluded that AI is transforming the financial sector in Cali, although its implementation requires greater investment in training, technology, and regulation to ensure its effective and ethical adoption, thereby guaranteeing a more efficient and satisfying banking experience for customers.Item Caracterización de la composición del sector empresarial en el municipio de Palmira, para el periodo 2013– 2016(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2019) González Medina, Verónica; Escobar Cabrera, Julio CesarThe objective of this work was to characterize the composition of the business sector in the municipality of Palmira, for the period 2013 - 2016. For this purpose, a descriptive research was carried out, through the analysis of historical data of the business composition of the Chamber of Commerce of Palmira and the Progresamos Foundation published in the statistical yearbooks. In the work, a comparative analysis was made of the business information of the municipality of the selected years that allowed the identification of the dynamics of the companies in recent years according to the economic sectors and subsectors. These results provide information to organizations to prepare in advance to changes and trends in the sector. The results also allow entrepreneurs to make investment decisions for new businesses in the region. In addition, they provide SMEs with a context of the sector's situation in order to take on new challenges, with competitive strategies. The municipality of Palmira in recent years has shown strong growth in different economic sectors, which has allowed it to impact the economy of the region. According to the research carried out, it is evident that microenterprises have a constant growth rate of 4% in the analysis period, with the highest participation in the market with an average of 6592 companies, which corresponds to 93%; On the other hand, the wholesale and retail trade in repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles presents a constant growth rate (4%) represented by 3003 companies corresponding to 42% of the average for the period of analysis, another activity or economic sector important is the manufacturing industry with a 12% share (890 companies) on average, however in the latter, its growth rate has been variable with some positive and negative peaks. In addition, in the study period, there are some important changes in the types of legal entities, where organizations prefer to be mainly: natural persons (78%, 5571 companies) or companies for simplified actions S.A.S. (15%, 1099 companies), so the economy of the municipality also has the contribution of imports and exports, mainly in the trade of yellow hard corn and other sugar cane or beet and chemically pure sucrose in the solid state, respectively, they are key elements to explain the phenomenon. The descriptive study under the deductive method will be carried out through the systematic review of secondary sources where it is intended, based on general theoretical references, to glimpse a particular phenomenon where the main drivers of internal transformation in companies have been identified in recent years, the new economic and market dynamics, technological changes, big data and AI, new consumer habits, the post-pandemic and the generational crisis, while different authors relate the resistance of human talent as a key and normal element in the face of changes, where factors such as ignorance, lack of communication strategies, risk aversion, lack of planning of the transformation process, the existence of negative leadership and the absence of skills to face technological advances are identified as triggers. Finally, the study concludes with the premise that human talent should be viewed as a strategic factor and facilitator of organizational transformation processes, rather than just another element of the structure to be changed. Furthermore, it details the implications of resistance on organizations' ability to implement effective change, and proposes strategies for managing it appropriately. These factors can be associated with adaptation to new technologies, the evolution of internal processes, and the lack of synchronization between digitalization and innovation. That is why, the human resources area becomes a fundamental part of articulation with the other areas of the company, being able to enhance teamwork and individual work, which allows the organization to evolve substantially and thus achieve its increase.Item Diseño de propuesta para el fortalecimiento del tratamiento y la gestión de cobro de incapacidades a las eps en la universidad Santiago de Cali, 2018-2022(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2023) Galindo Cardozo, Lina María; Galindo Cardozo, Diego Fernando; Muñoz, Luisa Fernanda (Directora)The process of recovering incapacities from the EPS (Healthcare Providing Entities) incurs a high opportunity cost and directly affects the financial statements of companies when timely collection is not managed or when incapacities accumulate over several years. Therefore, it is essential for companies and higher education institutions to have a specialized area for the management and treatment of incapacities and an established procedure with performance indicators that measure the achievement of proposed goals in terms of debt collection and incapacity processing. Methods: This descriptive study adopts a qualitative approach based on an analysis of secondary data sources concerning the treatment, management, and recovery of incapacities filed by active contract workers in the Human Resources Department of the University Santiago de Cali from 2018 to 2022. A diagnosis of the state of incapacities in terms of debt, collection, filing, rejection, and subsequent analysis was conducted, followed by the development of a proposal to strengthen the recovery management of incapacities from EPS through the implementation of the PDCA cycle proposed by Deming. To identify the root causes and negative effects of the process, the Ishikawa diagram and root cause analysis were employed.
