Revisión rápida de la literatura.”(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2021) Bolaños Muñoz Luissa Fernanda; Del Pezo Varela Margarita Rosa; Florez Acevedo, Stephany Julieth; Monsalve García, AdrianaIntroduction: "Bronchiolitis is a respiratory disease of viral origin that especially affects the pediatric population <2 years of age, with an annual incidence of 10% worldwide"1,2 It causes a demand for care in primary care between 4-20% and in hospital emergency departments between 0.8-2.5%. "Studies and authors affirm that the treatment of this disease is varied"3. For some decades now, the "benefits of the use and administration of heliox for patients with upper and lower airway complications who do not respond or show improvement to conventional treatment "4 have been described; however, there is no consensus regarding the use of this therapy and its form of administration. Objective: Review the characteristics of heliox administration in patients <2 years old with a diagnosis of bronchiolitis based on scientific evidence. Methodology: A rapid review of the literature produced between January 2015 and June 2021, in Spanish, English and Portuguese languages was performed. Inclusion and exclusion criteria were established, in which the characteristics of heliox administration in patients <2 years with a diagnosis of bronchiolitis were analyzed. The search was executed in the bibliographic search engines PubMed, Sciencedirect, Dialnet and National library of medicine. The terms considered for the search were "bronchiolitis" and "heliox". The quality of the selected articles was verified using the PEDro scale and two qualitative matrices were constructed for data analysis. Results: Eighteen articles were initially identified for analysis, of which two articles were selected for the final review. The selected studies had a PEDro 8/11 scale and evidenced two forms of heliox administration with low flow and high flow systems for the management of patients <2 years with bronchiolitis. Conclusion: There is not enough scientific evidence regarding the forms of heliox administration in patients with bronchiolitis, however, this rapid literature review allowed us to identify that the administration of this gas has a better clinical outcome in cases where heliox is administered with high flow systemsItem Características y beneficios de la movilización temprana en la unidad de cuidados intensivos(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2024) Valverde Ordoñez, Laura Alejandra; Cruz Quintero Andrés Felipe; Arevalo Tabares, Angela YaleskaIntensive care units are the clinical area where patients whose pathological condition has a high degree of risk of complications and high mortality rates are cared for. Therefore, clinical staff play an important role since monitoring and caring for the patient's stability is their main responsibility. Mechanical ventilation is one of the main supports that the patient requires in the development of 4 his pathology, which can be of respiratory, multisystem origin or pathologies that end up compromising the respiratory system and leading the patient to prolonged periods of mechanical ventilation and stay in hospital. icu. This situation causes a high degree of physical and physiological deconditioning in the patient, which delays the patient's recovery and readaptation to daily life. For this reason, intensive care units use EARLY MOBILIZATION, in order to rehabilitate the patient during their stay in the ICU, avoiding physical deterioration, weakness acquired in the ICU and the complications that this implies, such as prolongation of days. in ICU and even mortality. OBJECTIVE To determine the benefits and characteristics of early mobilization in critically ill mechanically ventilated patients. METHODOLOGY An exploratory review of the literature was developed from February to May 2024, which included research articletype studies, essays, systematic review, literature review, in English, Portuguese, Spanish, and German published between the year 2019 and 2024, which describe the characteristics and benefits of early mobilization in critically ill patients undergoing mechanical ventilation, taking into account factors such as start time of MT, inclusion criteria, and techniques used. . The review was carried out in the databases and search engines: Google academic, Pubmed, Scopus, Cochrane library, National library of medicine, Medline plus, Nature, Sage journals, Oxford university press. For critical appraisal, the PEDro, MINORS and SCED scales were applied. RESULTS 10 articles addressed the main topic of the research on the characteristics and benefits of TM considering variables such as: frequency of therapy, type of activity, start time inclusion criteria. CONCLUSION Early mobilization improves the functional status of the patient, reduces postintubation complications, reduces weakness acquired in the ICU, muscle weakness, days spent in the ICU, days on mechanical ventilation. Furthermore, it is evident that the best time to start TM is within the first 72 hours of admission to MVItem Caracterización de la función pulmonar de estudiantes de la facultad de salud de una universidad en Colombia(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2023) Chaves Daza, Angela Cristina; Herrera Paredes, Aura Cristina; Naranjo Rojas, AnisbedItem Compendio de las técnicas no instrumentales en el paciente pediátrico con infecciones respiratorias(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2020) Arenas Gómez, Ingrid Johanna; Sanclemente Balanta, Mónica; Moreno Reyes, Sandra Patricia (Directora); Carrero Gallego, Diana AlejandraItem Complicaciones asociadas a las técnicas utilizadas para la administración de surfactante en recién nacidos prematuros(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2023) Moreno Rodríguez, Ingrid Julieth https://orcid.org/0000-0002-2107-7264; Mosquera Valencia, Tairy Pamela https://orcid.org/0000-0002-7863-8122; Estupiñán Pérez, Víctor Hugo https://orcid.org/0000-0001-8846-4579Respiratory distress syndrome (RDS) occurs in premature newborns due to lack of pulmonary surfactant, its incidence is associated with lower gestational age, a situation that implies the need to establish non-invasive ventilatory support, in addition to administering exogenous surfactant by using the LISA and intubation-surfactant-extubation (INSURE) techniquesItem Componente educativo en los programas de rehabilitación pulmonar en mayores de 18 años. Clinically it is divided into emphysema and chronic bronchitis, which trigger a reduction of the airways, thus limiting airflow with the consequent problems at alveolar and respiratory level. Therefore, the relationship of this pathology with physical tests have shown that it has great benefit in these patients, as they become predictors of mortality and improve quality of life, these tests are known as the sit to stand (STS) and its different protocols 1 minute sit to stand (1STS), 5 seconds sit to stand (5STS), 30 seconds sit to stand repetition (30STSTST) and the six minute walk test (6MWT), these programs improve functional capacity in patients, decreasing the risk of dyspneaItem Conocimiento de la guía de succión de secreciones de la asociación americana del cuidado respiratorio por parte de los cuidadores respiratorios de la ciudad de Cali en el año 2019(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2020) Murillo Sanclemente, Joan Pamela; González Cardona, Jessica González; González Riascos, Diana Lisseth; Lorena Perlaza, Claudia (Directora)Item Conocimiento por parte de padres o cuidadores sobre infección respiratoria aguda en niños menores de 5 años según la literatura científica(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2020) Ramírez Rodríguez, Steffania; Góngora Góngora, Rayza Tatiana; Perlaza, Claudia Lorena (Directora)Item Conocimientos, actitudes y prácticas del manejo de residuos sólidos en la vereda Agua Azul departamento del Cauca 2021(2021) Arboleda Umaña, Karol Valentina; Gamboa Rengifo, Lissa Maria; Ramírez Correa, Cesar AugustoItem Consumo de sustancias psicoactivas en estudiantes de 10 y 11 º de una institución educativa del corregimiento de robles, municipio de Jamundí, valle del cauca. 2020.(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2020) Valencia Álzate, Daniela Cecilia; Mancilla Jiménez, Juan Camilo; Ramírez correa, Cesar; Endo Collazos, NayibeItem Cuidado respiratorio en la gestante.
