Item Propuesta de mejora para el manejo de la cadena de frio de medicamentos en Centro Hospitalario en la ciudad de Cali(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2017) Vargas Arboleda, Carmen Elena; Arboleda Zuñiga, JairoIt is universally admitted that the concept of quality of a medicine includes two basic characteristics: efficacy and safety. While efficacy is defined as the ability of a medication to obtain the therapeutic action sought in a timely manner, it is understood that a medication is safe as long as the risks it has for the patient are acceptable in terms of a risk-benefit analysis. . Among the required quality requirements for a drug is its stability, that is, the ability of a particular formulation in a specific container / closure system, to remain within its physical, chemical, microbiological, therapeutic and toxicological specifications throughout of the entire period in which it is in the market. There are many factors that affect the stability of the drug from its manufacture until the moment of its use, so that deficiencies in the preservation systems (cold chain break) or in the type of packaging can wreak havoc on the stability of a medicine. It should be noted that products formed as a result of drug degradation, although, in general, lack pharmacological activity, can sometimes be potentially toxic or lead to alterations in organoleptic characteristics. To avoid or delay this type of reaction, a series of measures can be taken, among which we can highlight the temperature control, since an increase in temperature, in general terms, is accompanied by an increase in the degradation rate (G r J rt Ru S u T - 2004).Item Caracterización de un operador logístico 4PL(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2017) Echeverry Díaz, Laura Cristina; Zuñiga Reyes, Greiler Durbary; Cañas, Marlon DagobertoA logistics operator has the ability to plan the supply chain of an entire organization. According to Parra-Ortega (2010), in the field of logistics, transport is a substantial component in the supply chain, since it represents the component with the highest proportional cost, therefore it implies having adequate planning in its operations . The problem that is addressed in the case study is related to the recurrent breach of its cost and service objectives in the distribution of the company that provides the transport service by subcontracted fleet. This breach is relevant given the business environment in which the company operates, where there are different scenarios such as the starting conditions that you want to transport with the minimum cost, shipments to their respective destinations using all the necessary vehicles (vehicles which can belong to different typologies, each of them with different characteristics in terms of weight and maximum capacities and with variable costs - depending on the number of km traveled and different hiring). For which competitiveness is very important especially at the level of customers, suppliers and transporters, forcing them to optimize their planning processes for the allocation of routes.Item Propuesta de mejoramiento en el sistema de almacenamiento de materia prima en EVACOL S.A.S(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2017) Ordoñez Botina, Wilson Arbey; Romero Peña, Hector Fabian; Arboleda Zuñiga, JairoThe proposal of improvement in the system of storage of raw material was carried out in the company EVACOL SAS with the objective of implementing and designing a system in the area of storage, with which it will be possible to first improve the flow of Supply to the mixing and injection process and secondly, that these processes become more agile and efficient for the company, in this way it seeks to expand the productive capacity that will allow it to explore and compete in new markets in Latin America, Which contributes to the growth and strengthening of the company in this stage of expansion, responding to its stricter customers with the generation of added value in the wide portfolio of products it offers. Through this work, strategies are formulated in logistics services offered by industrial service users (UIS) located and qualified by the Permanent Free Zone of Palmaseca located in the municipality of Palmira - department of Valle del Cauca.Item Propuesta metodológica para el desarrollo de proveedores en una casa médica(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2017) Mosquera Lucio, Yennifer Paola; Ortíz Cardoza, Constanza Viviana; Cardenas Erazo, DaniloThe globalization of the markets has led to an increase in the level of dependence on suppliers in companies, in terms of reliability and compliance with the supply chain. In this sense, it is increasingly common for organizations to execute programs or projects to know and help their suppliers in order to obtain benefits such as cost reduction and recognition of their customers in competitive markets, such assistance to suppliers has Received the denomination of Supplier Development. (López, Bolaños and Méndez, 2015, p.15) Supplier development is an activity that enriches the management of the supply chain, providing it with greater value through mutual contribution between client companies and suppliers. For modern organizations, the management of suppliers has become one of the most important and strategic axes, since being the first link, it allows to dynamize the entire supply chain in an integral way; situation that is reflected in improvements in competitiveness, which translates into improvements in management capacity and, precisely, in generating added value and satisfying the needs of consumers. That is why it is necessary that the managers in charge of provisioning have tools that allow them to make decisions quickly, and as far as possible, that are objective and easy to use. In response to this need, a methodological proposal is proposed for the development of providers in a medical home. This methodology is based on the selection, negotiation and finally evaluation of suppliers. For the three development processes a diagnosis is made of how they are currently in the Bioart medical home, which allows us to give an overview of the aspects that should be improved in each process. Once the proposal for the selection and evaluation of suppliers has been presented based on the multicriteria analysis, quantitative and qualitative results are obtained that will allow making accurate and objective decisions, which would eliminate subjectivity in the process with which Bioart is currently working for the development of suppliers.Item Modelo de abastecimiento colaborativo en una empresa Frutícola en el Valle del Cauca(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2017) Serna Ortíz, Juan Felipe; Londoño Grajales, Carlos Andrés; Cardenas Erazo, DaniloValle del Cauca is a department with high levels of fruit production, a condition that generates high volume, quality, price requirements for companies in this sector, among other attributes of sanitary regulations and sustainability, which is why the use of elements and tools to meet this high challenge, guaranteeing the presence and competitiveness in the market (Governorate of Valle del Cauca, 2006), as a transcendental function in the supply chain. Therefore, the application of techniques such as Inventory Managed by the VMI Provider (Vendor Managed Inventory) and collaborative sourcing, have led companies to obtain competitive advantages in costs and customer service, allowing the supplier to respond to the final demand and avoiding the whip effect with the appropriate decision making (Adarme, Arango & Otero, 2011).Item Análisis del sistema de transporte terrestre para mercancías de importación y exportación en Colombia(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2018) Urzola Acuña, María Mónica; Arboleda Zuñiga, JairoLogistics is an essential point when talking about imports and exports of any type of elements, within this aspect a highly relevant being the oldest and equally traditional is the terrestrial, so in this document what is intended is analyze the contribution (positive - negative) of said factor and specifically for Colombia. Regardless of the elements that are transported, these also have a value for the final recipient, so that the time, accommodation, treatment and handling of these during their mobilization by road charge a highly important value in the logistics process; but in Colombia there are particularities due to the surface of the land, the climate and the situation of public order There are different ways of evaluating the quality, efficiency and effectiveness of the land transport system that are applicable anywhere in the world, but the particularities of certain areas clearly mark the differences in these variables, which is why the valuation and evaluation are not subjective. analysis, only that each territory at world and local level has its particularities that make it more or less attractive for the displacement of goods by land, especially because of the effect on the cost variableItem Métodos de modelación para la gestión eficiente de la logística inversa(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2018) Gomez Gonzalez, NicolasThis article presents a bibliographical review regarding different methodological models of quantitative and qualitative character used in the efficient management of reverse logistics, both for the recovery of waste and for the management of returns of inve ntories or product in companies. This research has as an objective to analyze different studies presented by authors, where the application of the models and the contribution that is generated to the environment is evidenced. It was evidenced that there are different quantitative models, the minimization of costs prevails, however, there are several researches that consider the environmental impact within their models, mainly the qualitative models.Item Propuesta para el mejoramiento productivo mediante la aplicación de la herramienta vsm en una empresa de alimentos balanceados(2018) Mena Sánchez, Edgar FabiánThis article presents a methodological proposal for the productive improvement in food companies, mainly in the process of interwoven flour. For this, it was necessary to characterize the production process and logistics flow of the company, which allowed the performance analysis of the activities involved. Subsequently, activities that did not add value in the supply chain were identified through the Value Stream Mapping (VSM) tool and improvement alternatives were proposed in order to eliminate the identified waste. Finally, a future map was created with the improvement alternatives selected according to the impact they generate to the process improvement. According to the information obtained in the Current VSM for the process of interwoven flours, a detailed description was made of the 3 types of waste identified in the value chain, identifying potential improvements in: the addition of minors, the number of forklifts in the crumbling and the stock of special drugs.Item Propuesta para el mejoramiento de los procesos operativos en la bodega de una empresa de mensajería en la ciudad de cali, mediante el modelo cross docking.(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2018) Cadavid Montes, Carolina; Correa Nieto, Irley CristinaThe company started in 2005 as a staff provider in the city of Cali. In 2008, he started as a logistics operator in the operational processes for envelopes and small packages. In 2012, the contract was extended to the bases of Buga, Tuluá, Buenaventura, Palmira, Popayán, Santander de Quilichao, Pasto and Ipiales. This growth also led to the process of distributing envelopes and small packages. As of 2014, the market conditions and the industry of this service began to show relevant needs focused on handling parcels of larger dimensions and volumes; conditions that currently create the bottleneck in the operational processes of reception, classification and dispatch, in view of the fact that the design of processes and infrastructure had always been focused on the handling of envelopes and small packages. This paper aims to demonstrate the importance in improving the reception, classification and dispatch processes, aimed at greater productivity and efficiency in handling parcel shipments, to remain a competitive and current company in the current market. Current conditions regarding processes were analyzed, measuring handling times per shipment and their weighing and verification requirements; times of reception and unloading of vehicles; infrastructure needs in terms of warehouse due to insufficient process spaces; machinery necessary for handling high volume shipments and historical handling of parcel shipments. After analyzing the previous information, and investigating about the Cross Docking model, this model is proposed as a tool for the improvement of the processes that allow the company to remain a strategic partner of the clients-company in its logistics chain and continue to attract new clients ; Since this model is defined as an operational strategy that moves the elements through the consolidation centers avoiding storage and that worldwide provides support to the supply chain, thanks to this, the operating time is optimized by decreasing thus representative costs which may be reflected in profit and decrease in losses.Item Propuesta para definir las variables y características en un estudio de factibilidad para la creación de una empresa transportadora de carga terrestre(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2019) Gordillo Varela, Carlos AlbertoThe present investigation has as an objective to develop a proposal of variables and characteristics to consider in a study of feasibility for the creation of a company dedicated to the transport of terrestrial load in the Center - North of Valle del Cauca. To do this, basic components must be developed, such as the market study, technical study, the administrative-legal study, the economic-financial study, with which it is concluded whether the idea is profitable or not, and how long it will take to recover the investment, important information to attract potential shareholders or investors. The idea of business arises from the problem that the companies of the La Paila Town have to transport 100% of their scheduled dispatches. By means of compliance indicators, it was possible to confirm that Colombina S.A. it complies with its dispatches in 90% and that Riopaila - Castilla complies 95%, leaving 10% and 5% respectively of its deliveries without being dispatched on the scheduled day. This can generate discomfort in their clients, shortages of their agencies and breaches in the commitments they have made, and if they continue to do so, they can even lose their customers. Some of the results of the research is that the demand is 90% covered by the other transport companies, that is, there is a demand of 10% that is not covered by the competition. Another result is that the companies that generate the cargo look favorably the differentiated product offered (Drop Deck trailer) because it would allow them to mobilize a greater amount of volume.Item Propuesta de un modelo de compras de telas, en una empresa de confección de dotación industrial en el Valle del Cauca(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2019) Bohórquez Gil, Juan FelipeIt is very well known that "customers are the most important part of your business", reason why it is highly important for a company to be aware of the standard operational procedures stablished within each one of its departments. Althought, there are many factors that can negatively affact cuatomer satisfaction and productivity levels, any breach due to the lack of raw material reveals the greater alert that a company needs to revise the internal worflows to identify all the possible failures within the "chain of production" , and generating new working strategies to help improve and ideally solve the issue. The following article describes a strategic "Consumer Model" for raw material within the fabric industry. This model's idea is to increase customer satisfactory levels while diminishing the time of production. Throughtout this article you will be presented with the analisis of current failures that companies face within the chain of production, and a sistematic clasification of customer standards with the ABC methodology. This model expects to increase productivity as well as customer satisfaction levels, with the evaluation of workflows that regulate the stocking of raw material for production needs. Once this model have been apply and introduce to the company, it is possible to provide customers with a timely manner estimate for their product, and the company will achieve a standardized raw material consumption base un the production needs. Item Propuesta para la gestión de inventarios de los ítems tipo A de la línea de extremidades en la empresa Bioart S.A.(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2019) Giraldo Henao, Nubia CarolinaThe objective of this research is to define the inventory levels of the A type references of the ortholoc plates for the limb line in the company Bioart S.A. There is an increase in sales from 2017 to 2018 but a decrease from 2018 to 2019, due to complaints about poor service due to missing important references. Among the activities carried out, the most important references were determined through an ABC classification, with this information the sale history of the last years was analyzed and thus the different precision measurements were applied in different time period ranges. Forecasts that allowed knowing the behavior of the evaluated references and proposing the implementation of control policies of the company's inventory that allow to optimize the inventory allowing having in stock always this type of items that are irreplaceable. With this work a correct definition of the inventory levels of spare parts type A was achieved for the fleet under study, determining an economic amount of EOQ order, as order size to request, and a reorder point as minimum levels in existence.
