That is why the objective of this article is to review the literature on agile scrum principles in the pharmaceutical sector. This is achieved through the search for information with a time gap of 10 years in scientific data bases, where documents composed of journals, degree works, articles, among others, were searched, resulting in the review of 30 documents, which can demonstrate how agile principles improve the internal processes of the sector as such; perfecting the interaction with the client and strengthening their loyalty. In addition to paying attention to other areas that are fundamental for the good development of their projects. Every organization needs to become agile to achieve satisfactory results regardless of the type of company, or the market where it operates, which also means changes in structure, collaboration patterns and many other areas that are key to the good development of its projects. The objective of this research is to analyze the relationship between traditional project management methodologies and agile methodologies. To carry out this work, the specialized literature has been reviewed, taking information from bases such as Dialnet, Academic Report and ScienceDirect. Traditional methodologies are characterized by being rigid in aspects such as time, that is, they do not allow margin of error in terms of previously established times; in addition, they focus primarily on processes, not people (customers). On the other hand, agile methodologies allow changes in the delivery times of projects even when they are underway and one of their main characteristics is the focus on people.Item La importancia de implementar los sistemas integrados de gestión en las PYMES de Colombia(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2022) Bermúdez Aldana, Bryan Steven; Toro Higuita, Stephania; Vargas Ospina, Daniel Mateo; Rojas López, Johanna (Directora); Segovia Borray, Clara Eugenia (Directora)The increase in PYMES has had a notorious growth in the percentage of the economy in Colombia due to the pandemic generated by COVID 19. Consequently, many people, losing their jobs, decide to undertake to provide financial relief to their needs and an impulse for the reactivation of the country's economy. Following the above, it is necessary to provide those PYMES with the appropriate tools to increase their sales volume, customer satisfaction, implementation of correct management, and prevention of occupational risks within the organization, and they will also have environmental responsibility. For this reason, a series of management standards such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45000 must be combined and applied. The objective of this article is to carry out a documentary review in different search engines of published works about the importance of implementing integrated systems in PYMES in COLOMBIA. For the development of the objective, a search was carried out in different databases such as Scielo, Proquest, Google academic, and Science Direct.Item Propuesta de mejoramiento en el proceso de fabricación de zapatos con un enfoque de Lean Manufacturing para la reducción de desperdicios y tiempos muertos en la empresa Calzado Rómulo(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2022) Maldonado Toro, Isabella; Ordoñez Rivera, Brayan Andrés; Jaramillo Fernández, Juan José; Guaita, Wilfredo (Director)Lean manufacturing is the search for improvements in production by eliminating waste, resulting in greater capacities in terms of availability of manufacturing time, as established by (Hernández & Vizan, 2013), the task of analyzing the production process and identifying what should not be done because if it does not generate added value for the client, it will be eliminated later. Likewise, the good use of physical resources in the operational part results in clean and organized processes based on the idea of continuous improvement, "Calzado Rómulo" is committed to producing footwear products. This research proposal is focused on improving the shoe manufacturing process with a Lean Manufacturing approach to reduce waste and downtime in the Calzado Rómulo company, under the CDIO methodology, guided by the parameters of: Conceive, Design, Implement and Operate under the Lean tool. It was found that the company is currently wasting 7% of its production due to Operation and manufacturing failures in logistics processes, maintenance system, and quality assurance. The central contribution of this study is to provide the organization with strategies for continuous improvement in the production area and its implementation, facilitating the control of the efficiency and effectiveness of the production processes, this triggers greater profitability for the company and customer satisfaction final client.Item Propuesta de un Sistema de Gestión de Calidad basado en la norma ISO 9001:2015, para el proceso de producción de la empresa Colchones Cielo Azul(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2023) Gutiérrez, Eliana; Rojas Saldarriaga, Sebastián; Cortes Vásquez, Mónica Andrea (Directora)The company Colchones Cielo Azul, dedicated to the production and commercialization of products for rest and comfort, has experienced issues in its production process due to lack of documentation and standardization. This has resulted in delivery delays, averaging a loss of 3 customers per month. Additionally, there are non-conformities in the reception and treatment of raw materials due to experience-based procedures carried out by the personnel in the area. This highlights the need to document, structure, and establish control over the production process, detailing the activities to be executed in order to achieve production objectives and mitigate low performance and current losses. It is proposed that the business owner consider implementing a Quality Management System based on the ISO 9001:2015 standard, starting from the production process, as it is the primary economic function of the company and the main source of delays and material losses. To achieve this, an initial diagnosis of the company's current state in relation to the standard is conducted. Based on the results of the diagnosis, which showed a compliance rate of 3%, a proposal is then documented and designed for the production process, following the guidelines set forth by the ISO 9001:2015 standard. Finally, the investigation resulted in the documentation of the strategic planning, organizational structure of the company, and the characterization, manuals, formats, and instructions for the production process based on the standard. Based on this, it is concluded that if the company Colchones Cielo Azul decides to implement the proposed changes, the compliance percentage with the standard will increase to 71%, resulting in greater customer satisfaction, continuous improvement, and control over the production process.Item Análisis de riesgos asociados al proceso productivo de fritura de papas en el restaurante de comidas rápidas "Pare y coma aquí es la Lora", ubicado en la ciudad de Santiago de Cali(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2023) Arias Murillo, Dayana; Aponza Espinosa, Leidy Natalia; Botero Herrera, Héctor Mario; Rojas López, Johanna (Directora)This study addresses the issue of workplace accidents at the "Pare y coma aquí es la Lora" restaurant in Santiago de Cali, focusing specifically on the French fries production process. The aim is to develop a comprehensive risk management plan that reduces these accidents by 60% during the first half of next year. Using an experimental methodology and the risk panorama matrix, risks are identified, evaluated, and prioritize associated risks such as burns, cuts, and falls to implement some appropriate mitigation strategies, such as comprehensive training programs, personal protective equipment, regular safety inspections, emergency response protocols, and employee wellness program, being measured through the application of indicators, which will provide evidence of compliance with the program. Risk assessment and ongoing monitoring of mitigation strategies are central to this approach. Preliminary results indicate a significant decrease in the accident rate, demonstrating the efficacy of this approach in improving workplace safety conditions. This study has implications for safety management in the restaurant industry, demonstrating how risk management can effectively improve workplace safety.Item Estrategias comerciales y operacionales utilizando la metodología Scrum(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2023) Cuellar Jiménez, Carlos Andrés; Millán Fernández, Nicolás; Montaño Peña, Jhon Bayron; García Jiménez, Juan Camilo (Director)This article presents a literature review on the creation and execution of business and operational strategies using the agil e framework Scrum (interactive work methodology for agile project management) in small and medium enterprises (SMEs). This research has a qualitative approach of exploratory type, which includes documentary and bibliographic review and the collection of information found in databases, to obtain data concerning the implementation of the agile Scrum framework through the execution of various management and logistics strategies in SMEs. The objective of this article is to identify the types of business and operational strategi es where the methodology defined by the agile Scrum framework has been used. Thirty-two articles were consulted where the use of the agile Scrum methodology is mentioned and implemented for sales, marketing and logistics strategies in certain business processes of diffe rent companies. It was evidenced that a large number of SMEs seek to increase their profitability and increase their sales through web applications (App's) and digital platforms to strengthen their market and reach a large number of people worldwide, so it was found that the most used in business strategy is e-commerce.Item Identificación, análisis y propuesta de control de riesgos operacionales que pueden afectar la integridad física de los operarios en el proceso de fundición de oro en la joyería Yago en la ciudad de Santiago de Cali(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2024) Alomia Angulo, Kevin Armando; Cuero Piñeros, Hernán Alberto; Mosquera Segovia, Kevin Andrés; García Jiménez, Juan Camilo (Director)The following work present an analysis of the operational risks that can affect the physical integrity of the operators in the gold smelting, which is vital for microenterprises like Yago jeweler´s. Therefore, the main objective of this research is to propose an operational risk management system in the gold smelting process in the Yago jeweler´s store in the city of Santiago de Cali, in order to reduce accident rate, comply with industrial safety regulations and good industry practices. To comply with the objective, tools such as the risks panorama matrix were applied, which evidences the materialization of the following: crucible with a temperature below the standard, excessive accumulation of toxic gases, excess heat that is tolerable for humans, laceration or physical trauma in the operators and plaster mold with a temperature below 7,000C°. The investigation was divided into four stages, where qualitative and quantitative tools and methods were applied, such as the semi-structured interview, Monte Carlo analysis, risk panorama matrix and others, in order to understand the microenterprise in an integral way, design the controls, evaluate its economic and reputational impact. In addition, the analysis of the probability of occurrence and the impact of the risks identified in the panorama matrix, evidenced that certain behaviors, practices and actions, if not adequately controlled, can generate potentially dangerous situations for the physical integrity of the personnel and the efficiency of the gold smelting process in the microenterprise.Item Revisión de la literatura sobre la simulación en la cadena de suministro durante los últimos 20 años(2021) Andrade Ospina, Carol Liceth; Gómez Wittinghan, Diana María; Solarte Coral, Carlos Andrés; Masso Alzate, John Alexander (Director)The objective of this article is to carry out a literature review for those who are interested in simulation as an instrument for improvement and management in the supply chain, covering operational and strategic Slavs, in addition to achieving a broader knowledge of the simulation processes carried out in the industry. 40 articles published in the last 20 years were analyzed, of which 23 articles were selected as references in this work since they expose and manifest the application of simulation software, as a management tool for the supply chain and the different adaptations in different disciplines. Likewise, this theme has been growing for companies, engineers and others today. Among some findings, reviewing the case studies, it is possible to conclude that process simulation is a growing trend that stands out for its discrete dynamic event models and its interest in various fields such as inventory planning, distribution, additive planning and other applications. Extended supply chain. We emphasize that simulation in processes is an actively applied technique since long before 2004, and this has proven to have a very high rate of effectiveness in supply chains.Item Identificación de factores que influyen en el bajo consumo de mecato (snacks) saludable, en niños entre los 5 y 12 años de edad, de estratos sociales 2 y 3 en Santiago de Cali”(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2020) Castillo Segura, Yoselin; Mina Pineda, Kelvin; Florez González, Sandra VivianaThis research aims to identify the factors that influence the low consumption of healthy meccate in children between 5 and 12 years of age, from social strata 2 and 3 in Santiago de Cali. It was carried out through four phases, the first of which corresponds to showing an overview of the Snacks market in Santiago de Cali; then the preferences and eating habits of the children under study are described; The third phase corresponded to determine the influence of the products (mecato) that are on the current market, in the health of children. Finally, in the fourth phase, the characteristics that the products must have (mecato) were established, to enter the market for children between 5 and 12 years of age. The research concluded that it is necessary to establish healthy eating practices, through which a greater preference by children for these healthy foods can be achieved, in order to promote healthy eating habits.Item Análisis de costos para una implementación de metodología Six Sigma con base en variables de calidad total (TQM) en el proceso de extracción de petróleo en Colombia para el año 2019(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2020) Silva Ruiz, Mayra Alejandra; García Jiménez,Juan CamiloThe oil has been listed for many years, in Colombia, as the quintessential commodity, being then the basis of the country's economy, which has prompted several researchers to look for ways to make the process much more effective and efficient. On the other hand, the Six Sigma methodology has been proposed as one of the most efficient tools when planning processes and reducing times and costs, in fact this document has the main objective: to analyze the costs for an implementation Six Sigma methodology based on total quality variables (TQM) in the oil extraction process in Colombia for the year 2019, for which it is required to meet three specific objectives, the first of which involves the specification of the form functional to be applied for the implementation of the Six Sigma methodology in the oil extraction process, then seeks to establish the quality variables for the Six Sigma implementation in the oil extraction process, and finally specifying the costs of implementing the methodology defined in the previous objectives, for the realization of this study it was necessary to take care of the methodology posed by Al Kindi & Al Lawati (2016) and by Bubshait & Al-Dosary (2014), given which achieved results that the main costs adjacent to the Six Sigma methodology implementation process are labor-related. In order to provide a solution to the problem, the main objective was to design a customer retention strategy, which is developed using common methodologies in commercial engineering such as: analysis of commercial context, data structuring and BPM (business process management) flows. As a result, a management plan was designed, the sales process was restructured and a module with the critical requirements analyzed in the store was applied in the CRM.Item Propuesta de implementación de la metodología Seis Sigma en el proceso de producción del café tostado y molido(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2019) Gallego Urrea, Sara Nataly; Garcia Jiménez, Juan CamiloThe constant improvement of each one of the phases that are involved in the production processes, especially in coffee, are important to increase its quality and this way, achieve a better product. For example, with conditions to be a standardized product, when it come to color, flavor, scent and density. This can be achieved implementing the Six Sigma methodology, this allows standard the quality characteristics and includes controlled conditions for its operation. In this study, it was evident the lack of scientific documentation about the production process of roasted and grounded under this methodology. This, due to the high costs that this entails. Provoking repetitive processes and generating a higher number of defectives, which implies the need of a partial and effective proposal for this process. This article presents an implementation proposal of the Six Sigma methodology’s optimal variables in the roasted and grounded coffee production process (from cultivated to grounded). The investigation analysis eased the evaluation of factors that were hard to control and the characterization of the process variables that affected its results. The proposal is useful to be applied in the area enterprises that can implement it. Also, have the ability to approach quality improvement projects and mistake reduction in this type of process in high quality coffee production in Colombia with a normal natural statistic.Item Implicaciones en la logística de las empresas derivadas de la expedición del decreto 390 de 2016 y decreto 349 de 2018(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2019) Mosquera Zúñiga, Yohana Andrea; Fernandez Hurtado, Saul RickThe aim of this article is to analyze the implications in companies logistics derived from the issuance of decrees 390 of 2016 and 349 of 2018. A descriptive study was used, applying the inductive method, as a technique of information collection was used to review the literature of academic documents that have analyzed the regime customs and tariffs in Colombia, as well as current legislation. The changes that were introduced with Decree 390 of 2016, sought that the country conforms to international standards that for some years have focused on using information technologies and communication (ICT) to facilitate trade operations. Before the issuance of the decrees analyzed, in the country standards in the matter were reviewed by the Director of National Taxes and Customs (DIAN), given that the customs and tariff information is directly related to the tax issue. For 2018, the Ministry of Finance and public credit issues Decree 349 of 2018, which modifies and expands customs regulations, the foregoing with the same logic of update the country's regulation to international standards and make the country competitive in foreign trade. Decrees 390 of 2016 and 349 of 2018 generated several implications for the logistics process of companies in relation, on the one hand, it highlights the implementation and adoption of electronic information systems that are a tool to process and present the documentation, which greatly reduces the times demanded by the permit process and others. This generates that they invest less economic resources in the matter of administrative expenses while having a greater capacity to respond, making the most competitive companies. To analyze the impact of the implementation of the Lean tool, a review of the literature was carried out in recognized and high-impact databases that the Universidad Santiago de Cali and the University of the Andes in Colombia, where a batch of cases of e studies in which the tool was applied in different companies belonging to the production sector, which built three scenarios, corresponding to the Lean Manufacturing tool at the regional and international level. They are essential because they guarantee great growth in economic and business activity and the development of the organizations where they are located. MSMEs help reduce needs and create new jobs. It is worth mentioning that the MSMEs markets represent a primary economic activity since the number of firms in this sector is very large since it is found in the manufacturing sector where there is a wide range of production units.
