The objective of the investigation is to determine the influence of emotional intelligence on the attention to the user by the officials of the Human Resources Department of the Mayor's Office of Buenaventura; Exploratory and descriptive research that seeks to know the particularities of the subject and the population that is submitted to the study, in this case emotional intelligence in the attention to the user, the research method is inductive, starting from the particular to the general, also counts with a qualitative approach using quantitative data provided by the surveys carried out for officials and users; This process allowed to determine a high indicator of the influence of the emotional intelligence in the attention to the user.
