This research, conducted in 2022 in Palmira, aimed to understand the perceptions of 11th-grade students (ages 15-19) from both public and private schools regarding the C-055/2022 sentence. This ruling decriminalized abortion before the 24th week of pregnancy while maintaining the three established exceptions afterward. Using a 24-question survey, the study found that most students from both schools disagreed with jailing women who have abortions (67% and 68%, respectively). It also revealed that the male condom was the most recognized contraceptive method among the students (90% and 95%). The research concluded that the adolescents surveyed have a favorable attitude toward the sentence.
