Item Hombres basquetbolistas con/sin lesión deportiva en tobillo que participan en el entrenamiento propioceptivo para la reducción de lesiones deportivas. Revisión literaria(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2022) Carreño Herrera, Nathalia; Vélez Hernández, Valentina; Villacorte Narváez, Natalia; Muñoz Martínez, Paola (Directora)ABSTRACT: Basketball is defined as an inherently vertical sport, requiring constant acceleration and deceleration, forcing athletes to periodically change direction; thus, a sport with a high incidence of ankle injury. It is relevant to know the importance of proprioception within the processes of sports training and rehabilitation of sports injuries. To determine, through a bibliographic review, the effectiveness of proprioceptive training in the prevention of ankle injuries in male basketball players in the period of 2010 - 2021. This search was carried out through the academic databases of the Santiago de Cali University. From the search carried out, 21 articles with full text were taken into account. Of the 64 studies found in the databases, only 21 were selected for complete reading and met the inclusion criteria, finding that proprioceptive training included: single-leg and bipodal exercises with eyes open and closed, on oscillating boards, unstable surfaces , used proprioceptive and postural electronic stations that were taken into account to analyze the progression of ankle stability, in addition to functional exercises related to the sport practiced by basketball players. It was observed that training combined with other qualities such as balance, coordination, neuromuscular control, and strength promoted a reduction in the incidence of ankle injury.
