The document is divided into sections to specify the fundamental procedures, where the types of medical examinations required are mentioned, activities that are carried out in the training centers for training, techniques and laws according to the sector that govern the activities carried out for the prevention of accidentsItem Sistema de interlocución audiovisual de necesidades básicas para niños con lenguaje y motricidad reducida debido a parálisis cerebral infantil (PCI)(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2019) Velásquez Mina, Wiston; Barona Sánchez, Johnson Camilo; Sarria Paja, Milton OrlandoLa parálisis cerebral infantil (PCI) es un daño que se presenta en el cerebro durante sus etapas tempranas; por una infección materna que afecta al desarrollo fetal (varicela, herpes, sífilis, zika, entre otras) en la etapa prenatal; falta de oxígeno al nacer, parto de nalgas y bajo de peso al nacer en la etapa perinatal; fiebre, convulsiones y desnutrición en la etapa postnatal. Esto compromete una gran heterogeneidad de manifestaciones clínicas: motoras, sensitivas, cognitivas, del lenguaje, perceptivas y conductuales. La incidencia mundial ha permanecido estable durante los últimos años presentándose alrededor de dos casos en países desarrollados y 2.5 en países en vía de desarrollo, por cada 1,000 niños nacidos vivos. Específicamente, en Colombia se presentan de uno a dos casos por mil nacidos vivos existiendo en total 300.000 pacientes y más del 70% viven en la pobreza. Por lo anterior, surge este proyecto que implementa una solución tecnológica para la comunicación de necesidades básicas primarias y algunas actividades a pacientes con parálisis cerebral infantil (PCI). Y así, generar en cierta medida independencia del paciente en su entorno familiar y reducir costos asociados a su cuidado. Se utilizó lenguaje de programación llamado “Python” como principal fuente para desarrollar una interfaz audio-visual, de fácil comprensión para el paciente y/o cuidadores. La librería “OpenCV” para desarrollar un programa que con la cámara web reconozca al usuario, este realice movimientos y estos a su vez sean interpretados como movimientos del cursor. Un sintetizador de texto a voz, que permitirá comunicar los deseos del paciente. . La aplicación puede ser usada por pacientes con cuadriplejia debido a parálisis cerebral infantil (PCI). This article aims to publicize the different tools that are part of the Lean methodology and which are the most used in the manufacturing industry and in the services sector, in addition to this it is placed in context that is Lean Manufacturing and what benefits to taken these implementations internationally, nationally and in the service sector.Item Revisión de literatura sistema integrado de gestión: ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, ISO 45001:2018(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2019) García Sánchez, Cristian Fabián; Ramírez Guespu, Julián AndrésEste artículo realiza una revisión del Sistema Integrado de Gestión compuesto por las normas ISO 9001:2015 Sistema de Gestión de Calidad, ISO 14001:2015 Sistema de Gestión Ambiental e ISO 45001:2015 Sistema de Gestión de Seguridad y Salud en el trabajo a través de las normas técnicas, artículos conceptuales y de estudios de caso con una ventana de observación de 5 años en las bases de datos (PROQUEST, SCIENCE DIRECT). La revisión resultó en 2 artículos conceptuales, 1 de revisión y 17 artículos de estudios de caso, distribuidos así: 8 estudios para el Sistema de Gestión de Calidad, 4 estudios para el Sistema de Gestión Ambiental, 5 estudios para el Sistema de Seguridad y Salud en el Trabajo y 3 estudios para Sistema Integrado de Gestión. Los resultados más relevantes encontrados son: durante la revisión de los diferentes estudios encontramos diferentes análisis conclusiones alrededor de las diferentes normas, de las cuales la más relevante fue que las empresas con certificación ISO gozan de más beneficios al implementar un sistema de gestión de calidad ya que al ser certificadas la satisfacción del cliente va a ser mucho mayor, obtendrán una mejor imagen y mejores propuestas laborales igualmente ahorro en producto.Item Impactos de los Sistemas de Gestión Ambiental ISO 14001:2015 en el sector industrial(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2019) Herrera Osorio, Edwin Alberto; Rodríguez Murillo, Jenny Milena; Guerrero Moreno, David Rodrigo (Director)The purpose of this review article is to know how The Environmental Management System ISO 14001:2015 have generated an impact when implemented, analyzing the main motivations, impacts, environmental risks to mitigate, benefits and results, in the industries that adopt this standard to its production and commercialization processes, the Environmental Management System aims to serve the support for the prevention of environmental pollution, protect the environment and environmental performance, in balance with the three pillars of sustainable development, in addition to helping companies optimize resources to after taking advantage of inputs, supporting the creation of environmental awareness within organizations and generating sustainable production processes. This document is constructed with thirty articles of review and research articles published in the database of the Santiago de Cali University, where the different motivations that led a group of industries (services, distribution and trade, material energy and electrical equipment, metallurgy and steel, paper, meat, manufacturing, chemical and mechanical industry, agriculture and pharmaceutical industry) to implement an Environmental Management System were made known, some motivations that drive the implementation of the norm in organizations, such as political, ethical, economic, commercial, competitive, innovation, final disposal of waste, among others. This review article also addresses the impacts, risks, results and benefits that come with the implementation of the ISO 14001:2015 standard, through the experience documented in other articles related to this topic. In the impacts of the industries (sugar, cement plant, health, transportation, coal) reviewed, it was possible to identify the discharge of wastewater, solid waste, water and energy consumption, air pollution and within the risks reference is made to the damage of human health, decrease of resources, damages to the flora and fauna, climate change and global warming. Publicizing also the results and benefits of the implementation of an Environmental Management System.Item Factores claves de éxito del uso de la metodología Kaizen en el sector manufacturero Latinoamericano(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2019) Landazuri Casanova, Evair; Serna Rivera, Michel; Ospina Ocampo, Javier Mauricio; Ramírez Guespú, Julián Andrés (Director)Lean Manufacturing has become one of the most effective tools for companies to carry out a process of continuous improvement through the systematization of their activities where they seek to eliminate those activities that do not add any value to the productivity and competitiveness of Organizations seeking to minimize waste, costs and time under the premise that everything can be done better. This article aims to determine the success factors of using Lean Manufacturing through the implementation of the Kaizen method in Latin American manufacturing companies. For this, a descriptive analysis with a qualitative approach was carried out through the literature review of articles that addressed the subject under study in the last decade. Among the main findings, it was found that the implementation of the Kaizen methodology in Latin American manufacturing companies is due to success factors related to the work team, the effectiveness in implementing the method, incentives, training and commitment of company directives. As some of the main inhibitors of the implementation were resistance to change, the mismatch of operations to the value chain of the company and the limited empowerment of employees that weakens effective communication between members.Item Desarrollo del sistema de Información de registro y control para programas de Comunicación Infantil y Adulto Mayor de Bienestar Universitario de la Universidad Santiago de Cali(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2019) Orozco Hernandez, Juan Sebastian; Saint-Priest, Yana ElidaThe Ministry of National Education, Law 30 of 1992, requires that higher education institutions carry out university welfare programs. The Santiago de Cali University has an area of University Welfare that manages the Comunidad Infantil and Adulto Mayor programs. These programs have a manual data collection method, which implies greater operational load and exposure to information error. For this reason, decide to build the module "Gestión de Programas" that integrates the research project "Sistematización de los procesos de Bienestar Universitario de la Universidad Santiago de Cali" since it is based on a modular programming paradigm. For the construction of this module, the requirements must be analyzed, modeled a database and built a web application that allows the execution of the registration and control processes. The Scrum methodology and the AUP methodology are selected as they provide advantages in relation to time - quality; the technique of interviewing the client is used to take requirements. The construction is carried out in a total of 12 iterations, and the integration of the modules was handled through the GIT version control tool. The user validation modules and creation of courses previously built in the research project were coupled. The information is stored in the database that contains the integral and centralized information. With the proposed solution it is possible to systematize the key processes for the programs.Item Articulo modelo de costos estándar aplicado a la producción de estibas en la empresa Cooperativa de Trabajo Asociado Mundo Maderas(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2019) Zapata López, Álvaro José; García Jiménez, Juan Camilo (Director)Below is the design of a standard cost model for the Mundo Maderas Associated Labor Cooperative, this in order to provide the organization with an effective tool to make decisions, set prices and direct its administrative management. To achieve this objective, a brief description of the company is presented, in order to establish the way in which its operation and organizational style have been given; Likewise, aspects of its size are exposed, and the way in which it is characterized within the market. Adding to this, the stages of its production process are presented, to then detail the standard cost model, carried out under the Visual Basic for Applications tool, or Excel VBA, being available to interested personnel. In the final discussion, the results obtained are contrasted with some similar research internationally.Item Estimación de parámetros en la terapia de hipertermia por radiofrecuencia para el tratamiento del cáncer(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2019) Serna Maldonado, Rafael Daniel; López Pérez, Jorge Iván; Bermeo Varón, Leonardo AntonioRadiofrequency (RF) hyperthermia is a therapy that takes advantage of the penetration qualities of electromagnetic waves to induce heating in tissues; this therapy is combined with radiotherapy for cancer treatment and chemotherapy that increases to effectiveness of treatment. The mechanism of action of this therapy is the increase of temperature in the tumor, in order to achieve apoptosis of the cell that has an excessive growth and thus generate immediate cell death. This treatment, despite demonstrating its effectiveness, has many limitations such as the low penetrability of the wave, which suggests that the treatments are usually for superficial or shallow tumor tissues. In addition, the concentration of heating at a specific point is another major problem, since when it is induced it is not limited only to tumor tissue, but it affects healthy tissues and to this is added the fact that not all patients present with same physical characteristics in the tissues, which makes the therapy different in the treatment implementation. This paper deals with the estimates of the parameters in radiofrequency hyperthermia therapy, with simulated experimental data and numerical solution of the system, by means of the Gauss-Newton and Levenberg-Marquardt (LM) algorithms, to specify the treatment depending of patient. The results indicate that it is possible to estimate a parameter, obtaining excellent results with the LM optimization algorithm that allow to make a planning for therapy in a specified patient and least possible damage to normal and healthy tissue.Item Una mirada a las profundidades de la Deep Web usando FreeNet(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2019) Valencia Martínez, Ana Isabel; Hoyos Pérez, Andrés José; Dussan Clavijo, Ciro AntonioThis document takes a look at the Deep Web and how to access it via Freenet, an alternative to the more popular Deep Web browser, TOR. The ICFES assesses the official Educational Institutions (IEO) through a test known as SABER available for 3rd,5th,9th and 11th graders. The official Educational Institution Julio Caicedo and Tellez from Cali, Colombia has not met the desired requirements for such test in the 5th grade, where weakness in the area of language and math are evident. Therefore, they have decided to implement the use of Technologies of Information and Communication (TIC) as a strategy to trace the academic process. The following article shows the analysis, design, and development of a web tool that creates and executes tests based on competencies for students in the 5th grade of basic primary education. In order to fulfill the objective, an analysis was performed to verify the need for implementation of a tool in the institution that allowed to finally start its development using an Agile Unified Process (AUP) methodology and some SCRUM elements, giving as a result, a modern architectural design that allowed the development of a functional prototype which was perceived positively by the institutions faculty by meeting the principal functionalities required and the market required standards.Item Propuesta de programa de mantenimiento preventivo basado en el Mantenimiento Preventivo Total (TPM) para la flota de tracto camiones de la empresa Transportes al Mundo SAS(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2019) Daza Bejarano, Helmer Andrés; Tamayo Culman, Carlos Eduardo; García Jiménez, Juan Camilo (Director)Continuous Improvement and standardization of activities generate a greater capacity to anticipate various problems that are generated within the production department. In the same way, the good use of physical resources within the operative part generates not only a concern in relation to costs, but also to generate clean and friendly processes with the environment. This project is a Proposed Preventive Maintenance Program based on Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), for part of the truck tract fleet of the company Transportes al Mundo SAS, which is proposed as a strategic method standardized, to minimize repair costs and increase productivity. For the development of this investigation, the evaluation of the problems of the maintenance area is proposed, considering the cost, the practicality and the elimination of the dead times, in order to improve in a fast and precise way this area of the company, followed by this, it is proposed to compare and validate information before the company. The vehicles are part of a chain or production line and must be in the best state to comply with the contracts established by the company to generate confidence before its customers. These negative shifts have directly affected the user because they feel that the times have increased and it has generated a non-conformity in the service to the point where they are abandoning the system, or in the worst of cases, going to the entities that govern EPS and/or taking legal actions against the company. Consequently the queue systems that are in charge of the authorization rooms has been taken as the object of study in order the obtain the behavior of these and achieve improvements, raise awareness of the servers (integral attention executives) that it’s possible to increase the perception of service though the diminishing of times, and of course, satisfying the needs of the users in the shortest amount of time as possible. Through this, the investigation becomes relevant in finding theses errors or internal needs that can unveil why there are excessive waiting times and therefore give way to finding more precise alternatives in solving the problem through queueing theory and increasing the productivity and satisfaction of the users.Item Densificación de biomasa como alternativa de aprovechamiento y valorización de residuos agrícolas(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2019) Bermúdez Torres, Azael; Zambrano Salgado, Yesid FabiánIn this work a pelletizing system was used to densify mixtures of agricultural or forest residues. The raw materials used were coconut fiber (mesocarp), rice husk and wood sawdust. The purpose of this study was to compare the physicochemical properties of processed pellets. The effect of pellet processing variables such as particle size and mixing ratios of biomass was analyzed, considering its effect on pellet quality (calorific value and physical characteristics). It was found that the three biomass are suitable as energy sources, however, the pellets of the mixture of rice husk and coconut fiber did not present a good compaction, consequently, they could present problems at the time of their elaboration, storage and transport.Item Diseño y construcción de un dispositivo de medición de succión en neonatos(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2019) García Arias, Lina Vanessa; Bermeo Varón, Leonardo AntonioThe sucking reflex is innate and must function properly in terms of its capacity and coordination with the other reflexes involved in the feeding process, avoiding metabolic, linguistic and neuronal complications, which if not attended to in time can lead to death of the newborn . In Latin America, the most methods used are qualitative and inaccurate, based on subjective evaluation scales such as the escalation of NOMAS (Scale of Neonatal Evaluation of the Oral Engine) and the one established by Virginia Apgar in 1953. In the present study, we describe a new wireless system for the quantitative and objective measurement of the sucking reflex in newborns that allows obtaining the results of different sucking patterns in real time. The measuring system consists of a resistive force sensor (RFP-602e). The sucking data is sent via Bluetooth to a portable computer, in which a program was developed in the MATLAB® programming environment to receive, display and store the sucking patterns. A total of ten term newborns were recruited from The Siloé siglo XXI Hospital, which is attached to the Ladera Health Network, in Santiago de Cali, Colombia. Results show that the proposed system is adequate to measure the sucking behavior of babies, even within a few hours of life, which could help doctors to detect in a timely manner the risk of delayed child development in the future.Item Nutricom: aplicación que recomienda alimentos saludables a partir de reconocimiento de alimentos en imágenes para evitar enfermedades(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2019) Manyoma Navia, Javier Andres; Priest Velásquez, Yana SaintThe poor nutrition and feeding has become one of the great problems of modern life, causing a number of diseases and accelerating the transformation process. It is proposed to solve the problem with the implementation of a mobile application, based on artificial intelligence, which employs visual recognition of images suggested food intake or not, according to the user's profile including diseases, eating habits. The objective of the project was to classify the foods present in an image and calculate their caloric value to suggest healthy and nutritious foods. The methodology used was in cascade or life cycle, since it is the most common and oldest software development, and is widely used. The NUTRICOM mobile application can be integrated with the Watson API, visual recognition of food images, taking advantage of its ability to recognize more than 2,000 foods and "train" with it. Through the application, people can learn to eat well according to their profile. There are currently many people who are unaware of the cultural, social and economic value that salsa represents for Cali as well as all the development and evolution that this musical genre has had in the city. The emergence of new musical rhythms such as merengue, bachata and reggaeton, salsa in Cali has been overshadowed: through contact with youth it results in many young people not considering or not seeing in the sauce more than just one more genre, or even not important to attend such events. In order to carry out this research, the problem was studied based on the analysis of real and direct data (collecting user opinions) and some believe that this fact has degenerated the salsa identity and this has happened in the background. In order to contribute a little to the fact that the Salsa culture is still valid, “Salsa Cali” is an application oriented to mobile devices, the development of this one was raised to achieve greater dissemination of salsa events in Cali, and contribute a little to that the salsa culture remains in force in a striking way such as a mobile app. It was initially developed for Android mobile devices, a viable medium where development of this type of applications is generally started.
