For this, a conceptual description is initially made about techniques in the handling of construction materials; from this, the way in which the storage of construction materials of natural origin must be done and finally the various techniques that should be used for good management of construction materials of natural origin are disclosed. With the realization of the feasibility study, the very useful tool in the pre-operative phase of a project, the possibilities of success of the investment project can be presented to the management of the company. It begins with the background of occupational safety and health, making known the origins and evolution of work behaviors at heights to date; Subsequently, information on the legality and regulations used in Colombia is provided, among these norms is Decree 1072 of 2015 where the work structure is stipulated. On the other hand, information on the ISO 45001 of 2018 standard is provided, which establishes parameters in occupational safety and health. The meaning of work at heights, indicators of accident in construction and tools necessary for the realization of work, such as scaffolding, platforms, stairs, among others, are also disclosed. The importance of identifying the safety factors for the preparation of the worker through training, medical check-up and adequate procedures to mitigate the risk to which they are affected is highlighted, thus ensuring the worker's life and obtaining good productive results.Item Análisis de herramientas de software gratuitas para implementar el comercio electrónico(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2022-09-08) Timana Cardenas, Michael; Salazar Castro, Juan Camilo .; Restrepo Castillo, Edgar AlirioThis article is intended to serve as a reference in the construction of criteria for the identification and implementation of free ecommerce tools. The first section, by way of introduction, explains the origin of transactions and the milestone of information digitization. Then, the articulation and evolution that has taken place in parallel with the interconnection of devices and applications. The following subsection describes the general structure of online commerce. References to trends such as the emergence of bitcoin and the effect that the bitcoin pandemic has had on its operation. Mention is made of the classification of business models according to the way a company offers its product and service. The advantages over traditional commerce are highlighted, where global interconnection and computer sciences support and strengthen logistic processes. The structure and components that contribute to the synergy in the system are described. The legal framework, necessary for the consistency and projection of the organizations, is addressed. Based on the above, the spectrum of free tools identified is characterized and described. There is no totally free tool, since the expected results in any company require a minimum investment cost. A balance of the advantages and limitations of each platform is presented. It ends with recommendations to meet the criteria and characteristics of the company for the selection of the scenario and context in which it is needed.Item Análisis de la actualización normativa para los equipos de protección personal (EPP) en Colombia según la ISO 45001:2018(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2019) Álvarez Duque, Víctor Manuel; Sanz López, Mauricio Alejandro; Manrique Torres, José Alejandro; García Jiménez, Juan CamiloThe objective of this paper is to analyze the normative update for personal protection teams (PPE) in Colombia according to NTC-ISO 45001: 2018, for which a bibliographic tracking of the main texts addressed in the subject of NTC-ISO 45001: 2018, as well as documents that analyze the update and transition of the previous standard, as well as documents that mention the benefits of the new standard. The methodology used was descriptive by means of which reliable sources of information on the subject of this monograph were evaluated. Among the results obtained, it was possible to identify the great relevance that companies and employers currently have in Colombia with respect to guaranteeing safety at work and promoting the health of their workers, as well as compliance with regulations, laws and decrees. that the national government has established for the achievement or scope of said safety and health promotion in workers in the country, which includes the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).Item Análisis de la implementación tecnológica de IOT en la industria agrónoma en Colombia(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2022-11-18) Cano Hincapié, Carlos David; Yepes Hernández, Juan Felipe; Arboleda Martínez, Monica HelenThe Internet of Things (IoT, Internet of the Things) is the name given to the network that is created by exchanging data through the Internet on a measurement or physical object, in order to know, specify and subsequently analyze the data collected. Due to the relevance that this concept has taken and its application, in this review we will cover an analysis of the different ways in which IoTs were used in the last decade and are currently used more frequently in the agricultural industry in Colombia; focusing on the implementation of precision agriculture, wireless sensor network, drones for multispectral imaging and data collection through the IoT, obtaining greater profitability and optimizing the value chain and the incorporation of high precision technology in the field and in the industry, continues to transform from agriculture as we know it, to the present, generating a structural advance for the future with cutting-edge technology that channels this concept. The need for the implementation of IoT is given in obtaining data in the shortest possible time or in real time by storage or transfer of the same; of essential parameters such as: soil and its edaphological capabilities, amount of agrochemicals, irrigation, fuel saving, weather, leaf area and/or crop development in its different phenological stages, necessary for decision making of the professional or agronomist producer, providing a range of possibilities depending on each case.Item Análisis de Riesgo de la Seguridad Informática en la Organización Centro Misionero Bethesda(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2019) García Bravo, Julio César; Dussan Clavijo, CiroNowadays, the used of Information Technologies –IT has an important role in companies, IT assets take on greater value to reach the business objectives, however, threats and vulnerabilities have increased with these technologies implementation, putting on risk the information systems and companies' IT assets, whereby the purpose of this document is to present the evaluation of vulnerabilities in IT infrastructure of the CMB, evidencing the potential threats and presenting a report with the appropriate computer security recommendations based on ISO 27000-1 (Dombora, 2016). To develop the risk analysis, a conference talking about how important is the computer security in CMB was given, then, an Ethical Hacking was realize aiming the evaluation the infrastructure of IT through tools like OWASP y OSSTMM; by last, through surveys, data was collected in information tables based on MAGERIT standards, also a risk processing matrix was done, identifying the IT assents, evaluation and more relevant threats, as well as, the potential loss that can generate each threat and probability of impact; finally, they presented a report in which the absence of the IT department has been evidenced, lack of employees training for computer security and correct use, in addition to vulnerabilities found in the infrastructure of this organization, thus, it's necessary to employ the recommendations that provide ISO 27001 and MEGERIT rules, with the objective of mitigate threats and vulnerabilities, reducing the security incident probability (Sharma, 2018).Item Análisis de riesgos según la metodología FMEA, basado en el sistema de gestión de salud(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2019) Fandiño Piamba, Paola Andrea; Hurtado Solis, Marco; Estacio Cumbe, Jhonhanner Mauricio; García Jiménez, Juan CamiloCurrently analyzing the risks that may cause a possible effect of both positive and negative uncertainty to achieve the objectives, is an integral part of the organizations. This article contains information related to contextual definitions adopted by authors that delve into the characterization of risk definitions, in the analysis it is evident that there are many challenges when addressing the issue, regardless of the activity of the organization. Currently many methods are known to analyze and evaluate the risks that can cause an effect of uncertainty, yielding a result that can be positive (opportunity for improvement) or that can be negative (threat), is taken as reference ISO 9001: 2015 in its requirement the risk-based thinking that addresses methods of analysis and evaluation of the risks that may arise in an organization. Therefore, the AMFE method (analysis of the mode and effect of potential failure) is carried out, as an application tool to arrive at a result that allows identifying the failures in the process and in the product or service, as well as preventing possible rejections, allowing the development of alternatives towards continuous improvement.Item Análisis de una MIPYME comercializadora de cosméticos en redes sociales, para diseñar propuestas estratégicas que generen retención de clientes(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2019) Almeida Pizarro, María José; Filigrana Loboa, Marlon; Garcia Jimenez, Juan CamiloThis research analyzes the B2C management environment of Tienda Blue, a company dedicated to the sale of cosmetic products through social networks, where it was found that there are shortcomings in the management of customer relations, considered a significant problem because it wants to position itself in the market. In order to provide a solution to the problem, the main objective was to design a customer retention strategy, which is developed using common methodologies in commercial engineering such as: analysis of commercial context, data structuring and BPM (business process management) flows. Within the CELSIA infrastructure, the Corporate GIS area plays a fundamental role by maintaining an updated inventory of all electrical assets through the use of an application called ArcGIS. However, updating these assets is done manually, which not only depends entirely on human intervention but also leads to delays in update times. This situation compromises the reliability of the data presented in the reports before the CREG (Energy and Gas Regulatory Commission), thus affecting the company's remuneration. In response to these challenges, the ATLAS project is being carried out, whose primary objective is to guarantee the quality of the data, reduce update times and automate processes within the Corporate GIS area. This research proposes a detailed analysis of the implementation of SCRUM, based on simulation-driven learning; SCRUM is recognized for its ability to address complex problems and adapt according to planning and defined roles within the work team. It is expected that by combining the information from the ongoing project with the SCRUM methodology, it will allow a significant optimization of the processes in the Corporate GIS area of CELSIA, thus improving the company's operational efficiencyItem Análisis del tratamiento y aprovechamiento de llantas usadas revisión bibliográfica(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2019) Benavidez López, Paola Andrea; Ortíz Guerrero, Daniel; Valencia Ramírez, Jorge; Ramírez Guespú, Julián AndrésThe tires currently used represent an ecological, environmental and health problem in the different cities of Colombia, as a result of the inadequate final destination given to these pieces, because many are deposited in ravines or wastelands, others incinerated in spaces open sky and those that are recycled are not fully utilized. To cover this problem, a bibliographic review is presented in order to analyze the treatments and uses applied in the reuse and management in some places of the Colombian territory, whose objective is to identify some benefits and advantages, which contribute to generate a positive environmental impact, In addition to the economic one, which would be reflected with the reception of these processes in the industry, where we can denote some of their possible uses in the field of metallurgical, textile and construction, as well as taking into account that this material not only has benefits For this sector, it is also used for the development of recreational entertainment spaces. The above focuses on the maximum use of this recycled product, minimizing the impact of pollution on the environment and impact on human health that can be generated by improper waste management, preventing them from ending up in sites such as wastewater channels or public spaces. It was also found that in other Latin American and European countries they use strategies for decontamination and use of rubber tires. There are studies, projects and strategies have been proposed to implement processes that allow for the best reuse. Colombia is becoming aware and showing great attention in this area, providing support for the formulation of new ideas that allow the use, decontamination and improvement for environmental sustainability, based on the ISO 14001: 2015 standard for companies that carry out these activities, which establishes through an Environmental Management System to comply with requirements that contribute to the protection of the environment and respond to its changes, always maintaining a socio-economic balance. Companies have the responsibility and commitment to achieve the stipulated results referred to in the standard. through continuous improvement, compliance with environmental objectives and obligations, to thereby determine the impact and identify the risks and opportunities. This standard works according to the PHVA method, which consists of planning, doing, verifying and acting, which in other words is defined as establishing objectives, developing processes, monitoring and measuring to adopt improvement actions. The purpose of this article is to present the analysis and design of an integrated web information system coupled with a mobile application for an application (APP) cell phone and tablet compatible which will allow the entrepreneur to manage, track and control information in real time (24/7); providing management indicators for decision making. To achieve these results, an agile methodology of Scrum projects was used through the process of collecting information pertaining to the needs and new ideas of the small companies, which then was used to design the system. For this purpose a bibliographic review was carried out in scientific databases, strengthened with articles published in specialized journals and books of the same order. Among the results derived from the documentary review, the processes of ISO-9001 were identified, the implementation of story methodologies such as the MFEA and Risk Management from ISO-31,000, positively influence the quality management of organizations, as well as in the fulfillment of the challenges that strengthens its level of formalization, recognition and promotes the implementation of organizational development strategies for the fulfillment of its objectives and competitiveness in the market; It should be noted that any organization that successfully mages to address the assessment and prevention of risks has first level advantages within its structure, such as having a control plan on the processes, identifying the potential failure modes, the effect of each one of the possible failure modes and their severity within the process, all this generates the identification of the corrective actions required to reduce, prevent and improve the methods to detect failures early.Item Aplicación de algoritmos de clasificación como soporte al diagnóstico del cáncer de mama en unidades oncológicas(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2020) García Restrepo, Diego Fernando; Rondón Otero, Leidy Viviana; Tavera Romero, Carlos AndrésBreast cancer is one of the diseases that cause a lot of deaths every year, it is the most common type of all cancers and one of the leading causes of death of women in the world and Colombia. In this article, we present the use of WEKA as a machine learning and data mining tool, applying different classifiers to a set of breast cancer data provided by the cancer unit with the objective of supporting the diagnosis and supporting the taking of decisions in the diagnosis of breast cancer. The results obtained show how researchers in the area of health can use both statistical analysis and data mining techniques to discover knowledge and make a better diagnosis of breast cancer and other diseases. In the document a comparison of the effectiveness of the classifiers and an analysis of correct classification, incorrect classification and precision are made, aspects that are of importance for researchers who want to use algorithms in other types of studies or with other attributes to diagnose if the values of these lead or not to conclude that a person has breast cancerItem Aplicación de Drones y Aprendizaje Reforzado en el Sistema de Envíos: Un Enfoque para Mejorar la Eficiencia en Rutas en Cali.(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2023-08-31) Zapateiro Carabali, Juan Diego; Cabezas Alzate, Diego FernandoThis work addresses the application of reinforcement learning in the route planning of a drone, for its implementation in delivery projects, commonly known as "delivery." It compares different current fixed-path methods and how this could enhance the flight performance of these devices, proposing the city of Cali as a use case scenario. A significant finding is observed through the development of this project, which results in a notable improvement in autonomously identifying various obstacles using the code developed within reinforcement learning environments. This advancement enables the machine, within a virtual environment, to determine the optimal route to reach the designated destination while navigating around obstacles. Considering that the city of Cali presents numerous obstacles that must be navigated during flight execution, the methodology and obtained results also highlight that reinforcement learning, when applied to delivery using drones, could be a suitable solution to optimize delivery times for various items. It can address challenges such as delivering different supplies or materials to hard-to-reach locations.Item Aplicación de la metodología Lean Six Sigma para mejoramiento continúo en procesos de una empresa de servicio(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2019) Luna Sotelo, Fernando; Lozano Herrera, Carlos Andrés; Guerrero Moreno, DavidThis article deals with the continuous improvement of the document custody process through the Lean Six Sigma methodology in a service delivery company, the work was done with the aim of reducing the current operating cost of the process. The development was done through the DMAIC roadmap methodology that allowed to identify, improve and control the critical independent variables that affected the current cost and define mechanisms that will maintain the solution over time. During the development, it was possible to identify the lack of governance and control during the entire flow of documents derived from the processes of linking and service provision, lack of standards in the document purification where we apply the concept of added value and absence of policies for the proper management of information of the associate since at the end of 2017 had a record of 244,422 active associates and 558,765 files of associates were found in physical custody. The final result was able to define different custody schemes by type of process according to the needs of internal and external clients.Item Aplicación de la norma ISO 9001-2015 en Instituciones de Educación Superior(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2019) Montenegro, Catherine Timana; Dominguez Delgado, John Jairo; Cabal Arevalo, Jefferson Andres; Guerrero Moreno, David RodrigoIn this bibliographic review article, the structure and criteria for the execution of a quality management system are considered, applying the ISO 9001 standard for higher level educational institutions. Mainly the theoretical review was based on quality management systems and their concepts, high quality guidelines in training programs and their standardization. As a result of the review, a great contribution was made to the higher academic training sector (Universities) and to society in general at the level of the operational organization for the execution in higher education institutions of a quality management system, defining in turn, those responsible and associated activities for the execution of the ISO 9001 standard. The study methodology used in this bibliographic research consisted of the collection of 30 review articles downloaded from the database of the virtual library of the Santiago de Cali University, specifically containing topics related to the ISO 9001 standard, its application in institutes of higher education and other organizations in general, consisted of reviewing the content of said article and rescuing the relevant information regarding the different forms of application found in the researched literature.
