The ability to perform vital signs assessment is part of the knowledge system during training and professional performance, hence the importance of educational strategies for assessment that complement and reinforce professional skills. The educational material is a key strategy for acquiring competencies and ensuring quality care. Objective: To design and validate an educational strategy for the assessment of vital signs to monitor changes and ensure quality of care. Methodology: Methodological study for the design of educational material for the assessment of vital signs. In the design phase, the objective, target population and contents of the first version were defined. In the validation phase, content validity tests were carried out with the participation of four experts in health education and three students of health disciplines
