Item Propuesta de mejora para la disminución de los retrasos ocasionados en el producto final en el área de estampado en la empresa ocean's bags(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2022) Amaya Lozano, María José; Macías Clavijo, Melissa; Garcia Jiménez, Juan Camilo (Director)Ocean's Bags is a Cali company that manufactures and markets bags made of a material called "cambre", in addition to only manufacturing them, the company customizes these bags in each of the batches that its customers buy allowing them to manipulate the dimensions of the product and stamp any motif on the faces of the bag by means of printing with the "screen" method. The company began to fail to comply with the delivery dates stipulated for such batches of bags, thanks to an exhaustive investigation, it was discovered that this delay is being generated in the production process of the bags, specifically in the stamping area where defective products are being created that cause unnecessary reprocessing and even the manufacture of new units that supplant those that have defects leaving sequels of high costs in production, delays in deliveries and in orders that are in line, the objective of this article is to develop an improvement proposal to reduce delays in the final product in the stamping area in the company Ocean ́s Bags using quality control tools and building indicators that measure the improvement process, this was achieved through the DMAIC methodology (define, measure, analyze, improve and control), which resulted in a change in the organizational structure of the production process, specifically in the area of stamping, thus standardizing all the sub processes that make up the stamping of the bags, an operations manual that attests to this standardization and that educates future workers for the work, new and better work tools were also acquired that optimize the time and quality level of the process and the final product, such as a drying oven, spatulas and scrapers suitable for the process, among others, this also resulted in the decrease in the time in the delivery of orders and in this way, increasing customer satisfaction.
