Item Control del proceso de producción de panela en la empresa “El Gigante” mediante documentación de procesos(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2019) Dávila Zabala, Deivy Alexis; Guerrero Moreno, David Rodrigo (Director)This article deals with the realization of the documentation of the panela production process, which from the standardization of the process was intended to contribute to the reduction of raw material waste in the production line. This investigation is of descriptive type, since during its development activities were carried out as: interviews, visits to observe the process, documentation and time studies; that allowed the collection of information, the taking of time and the analysis of these, to identify the possible difficulties in the execution of the panelas production process, and thus to solve the lack of documentation, since this affected the productive process. The result was the characterization of the process, process map, flow diagram, average time of operation and the indicators' curriculum vitae; which will allow each of the collaborators to carry out their tasks sequentially and with the knowledge of what their responsibilities are in the process; In the same way, the work environment is expected to improve and in turn increase the income flow. This research also aimed to raise the awareness of the owner of the trapiche about the importance of the implementation of quality tools or technology in order to improve the different processes of the company.Item Implementación de herramientas Lean Manufacturing en la industria automotriz(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2019) Bracamonte Jiménez, Andrés Felipe; Botero Moreno, Kelly Julieth; Fiscal Silva, Carolina; Guerrero Moreno, David Rodrigo (Director)Companies belonging to the automotive industry are found as ideal platforms for the development of manufacturing activities; that is why, in the search to be more competitive nationally and internationally, they have been implementing different strategies that reach the highest levels of quality, high productivity, social responsibility and environmental care. For these reasons, I have seen the need to implement the tools of the Lean Manufacturing philosophy as a differentiating element to achieve high productivity, competitiveness and profitability. Through the consultation of articles and degree projects in universities of different vehicle producing countries, a bibliographic review was carried out where the application of Lean Manufacturing tools in the automotive industry was carried out and success stories were known in its implementation in Hirschmann Automotive Company, Metalsa Mexico, General Motors GM COLMOTORES SA. Tecnicamp, Renault SOFASA S.A.S, Maresa, workshop of Colisiones de Metrocar SA; In which more information will be expanded in the body of this article, these companies have sustained that they have been more competitive and stronger with the implementation of some of the techniques contained in Lean Manufacturing.Item Gestión y medición de riesgos en proyectos, una revisión literaria(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2019) Caicedo Ospina, Sandra Viviana; Ramírez Guespú, Julián Andrés (Director)The present literary review shows the diversity of techniques and models that currently exist to measure the risks of a project, allows observing different points of view for the development of methodologies, the article was structured in two parts, the first emphasizes the importance to measure risks for projects to increase the chances for success and generate confidence for investors, and the second part of the document refers to existing methodologies, which have been presented by various authors that contribute to the improvement of the risk system of the projects of the projects, of the results of the combination of the results of the results of the projects. other authors do not propose their own methodologies but instead choose to implement real times and express their opinions and points of view.Item Propuesta de un sistema de gestión de inventarios para Ítems Tipo A en la empresa Distribuidora Baviera(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2019) Cerón Martínez, Daniela Alejandra; Luna Correa, María Camila; Martínez Escobar, Nathaly (Directora)A fascinating challenge for any company that stores products, lies in the management of their inventories. The situation is permanent and growing due to the capacity and breadth of the market today, which means that companies sometimes consider the increase in their installed capacity (storage, increase in costs, resources, human capital and operations), to later provide these products to a customer or end user. The company object of the present study, Distribuidora Baviera, has 33 years of experience in the distribution of mass consumption products, started in the decade of 1985 in the municipality of Caicedonia - Valle, supplying consumer products for the home. With great motivation to move forward and provide a broader service, Distribuidora Baviera started as a store-to-store sales wholesaler, and in 1986 started sales in Sevilla - Valle, expanding the coverage of its services. In this article, an inventory management system proposal was made for type A items, since these products generate the highest demand and profitability of the business. For the development of the proposal, the following methodological aspects were integrated: Analysis of the current situation, determination of the forecast model and establishment of levels of inventories and policies. The analysis of the current situation allowed to know through interviews and surveys, how was the management of inventories in the company prior to the proposal presented. The forecast model (ABC) was the second stage where real demand played a key role in determining the histories in terms of requests for orders from customers. The levels of inventories and policies showed that inventories should be reviewed every two (02) days, operations are strengthened through continuous review, the cost of maintaining inventory is determined to be 8.33% and the percentage of orders missing according to the proposal, ranges between 0.00252%, controlling inventories and responding to the times in the dispatch to customers.Item Propuesta de un sistema de gestión de inventario de repuestos a partir de la generación de un plan de mantenimiento para tractores 6403 John Deere en un ingenio azucarero del Valle del Cauca(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2019) Barrera Gualguán, Carlos Armando; Mena Cardoza, Brayan Alirio; Martínez Escobar, Nathaly (Directora)In the world there is a great challenge associated with competitiveness in organizations, and these in order to cope with it generate actions aimed at increasing productivity, through the optimal use of their resources, training of the workforce, among others, but also there are cases in which to prioritize productivity, some areas go into the background and are not controlled in the same way, such is the case of the maintenance area. When studying the maintenance programs in the production plants, it is found that the traditional companies spend more than 55% of their time in corrective maintenance (repairing equipment after the failure) and another 35% changing parts that they think are about to be broken because They have already spent the hours they consider normal. This is the most expensive maintenance that is known. Requires a stock or inventory of parts, available personnel and unoccupied production personnel while correcting the problem. In the present work, the case of the maintenance of the tractors in a sugar mill in the Valle del Cauca region was studied, where due to inadequate maintenance, accompanied by the lack of spare parts management, the teams have partial stoppages and totals For this, a proposal was implemented that integrates the RCM methodology and the inventory management, in such a way that the importance of the items of spare parts could be ranked by means of the RCM according to the priority in the failures, afterwards the behavior of the the demand to determine the forecasting method that best fits, with this an appropriate policy was defined for the company, which in this case was (R, S).Item Propuesta para el estudio de tiempos y movimientos en la línea 1 en la fabricación de sandalias en una PYME(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2019) Ramírez Jaramillo, Stevens; Lasso García, Jhon Davis; García Delgado, Raúl Alberto (Director)Day by day the world is undergoing major economic changes, where emerging markets are becoming more important and more valuable for the global economy. It is in this scenario where business practices related to management, production and logistics become more cross-cutting to ensure the competitiveness of companies and focus the guidelines that certify their sustainability. Footwear is an important sector of the Colombian economy, providing development, employment, growth and social welfare. Currently the sector faces difficulties such as the entry of Chinese product, which in addition to being cheaper, enters through smuggling, evading taxes, so that their prices can be even more competitive. Although the increase in commercial exchange may be an opportunity for the sector, it also represents a challenge for the sector, as it will now have to compete more directly with companies from developed countries, which have better infrastructure and technology. Our SMEs should not try to compete for price, but should seek to generate added value and differentiate their products. This proposal consists of elaborating a study of times and movements in a production line for companies in the footwear industry and derivatives of EVA (ethyl, vinyl and acetate). The proposal proposes a model for the study of times and movements as a tool for the productivity of SMEs.Item Propuesta de un modelo de control de inventarios en la miscelánea El Príncipe de la ciudad de Buenaventura(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2019) Rentería Mosquera, Steven Fernando; Saa Angulo, Kevin Fabián; Masso Alzate, John Alexander (Director)This article contains the development of an inventory management model, which leads to the improvement of logistics processes in the miscellany of the Prince of the city of Buenaventura. Given that one of the shortcomings found in the company under study, is the item of inventories, due to the slow turnover of its products affecting the cash flow because the investment is delayed to return. In turn, the company has exhausted the products that have a higher turnover. As starting point for the work started with the ABC classification of the administered references, in order to determine the most important items, the second step was to use traditional forecasting techniques based on the analysis of the demand pattern, quadratic error means of this forecast and a safety factor to determine the required stock. The model allowed determining for items A, how often to check the inventory, how much to order and when to order. It should be noted that the research process was carried out under a logical scheme and in accordance with the objectives that were set, starting with the formulation of methodological strategies that allowed maximum efficiency to the process.Item Propuesta para implementar una tecnología para el aprovechamiento de residuos orgánicos en el municipio de El Cerrito Valle(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2019) Sánchez Campo, Edwin Alfonso; Mosquera Ramos, Gerardo; Reyes Arias, Tito Reinaldo (Director)Some municipalities in the Valley have not implemented technologies for the use of organic waste where it is not a priority to reuse them, but is an option to consider their reuse since it involves generating income and a contribution to environmental care by transforming them into composting. The main objective is that the governmental entities of the municipality of El Cerrito Valle consider the importance of having in their government plans and development proposals for the implementation of a technology that helps with the transformation of such waste into composting and minimize the amount that reaches the landfill. Since the proposal is oriented to the transformation of organic waste, this will be done by implementing the correct technology for its use and potential use in the agricultural sector from its characterization, classification and mixing of waste, noting that the composting is of quality considering a technology that can be implemented where 3 variables were analyzed to select between 2 technological alternatives, the cost, the capacity of the alternative (volume of waste) and the space required according to the financial scope. It was detected that the municipality does not have technologies for waste separation and does not have an integrated management plan, so finally do not take advantage of the tons of waste generated in urban and rural areas for improvement, although they are located in an agricultural area.Item Propuesta del diseño documental para la implementación de la NTC ISO 9001:2015 en la Fortuna S.A(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2019) Ramírez Torres, Mónica; Guerrero Moreno, David Rodrigo (Director)LA FORTUNA SA is a business company whose main activity is the marketing of products and services in betting and gambling in the of Cauca, Nariño and Putumayo through the contract 168 of 2010 with the Cauca lottery for the operation of permanent betting game, granted by the governorship of the of Cauca, Nariño and the Putumayo, where it is currently possible to identify the possible materialization of a risk due to the lack of organizational information that generates reports of noncompliance with regulatory requirements established by regulatory bureaus, as well as the possible loss of the design contract due to the lack of a system of certified quality management, because before the next tender of 2019 this would generate a loss of value because it is considered an important aspect, this is how documentary design takes importance through engineering methodologies that allow the identification of its organizational processes, standardization of activities, the implementation of management indicators, clear objectives with concrete results, that reduce the difficulty to implement a QMS based on the NTC ISO 9001: 2015, the fulfillment of the act and legal resolutions such lay 643 of 2001 that allow to demonstrate not only the absence of informality in the organization but also in order to achieve the certification of its management system based on the NTC ISO 9001: 2015 that may give rise to the continued granting of the contract to continue providing their services in these Departments, thus becoming the first betting and gaming of chance company in the south west of Colombia to obtain quality certification through the certifying body SGS until the year 2021.Item Propuesta de implementación de herramientas de un Sistema de Gestión de Seguridad y Salud en el Trabajo bajo el decreto 1072 de 2015 en una empresa productora de artículos en material plástico(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2019) Escarria Torres, Lizeth Johanna; Bedoya Garcés, Jesús Antonio; Martínez Escobar, Nathaly (Directora)In the present work, a proposal for the implementation of a safety and health at work system (SG-SST) was made in the company JUGUEPLAS del Valle, having as support the specifications of decree 1072 of 2015, which governs all legal regulations and determinations to develop a SG-SST, whose principles are based on the PHVA cycle, (plan, do, verify and act), for the development of this, was intended to fulfill the planning phase. As a purpose, it was sought that the employees of the aforementioned company will have a good work environment, mitigate or eliminate all the risks they face every day in the performance of their work duties. With the completion of this work, the company was provided with continuous improvement, alternatives were created to mitigate the risks, and efforts were made to increase compliance with legal requirements. The method that was used to arrive at the results was the field investigation, by means of this, the whole process of the company was known, by means of observation methods, interviews and surveys. The industrial engineering in SST, provided necessary tools to plan, implement and coordinate security programs that require some knowledge, to reject or take corrective actions of working conditions that are at risk. Additionally, this work also contributed to the documentary development of the system in the company Jugueplast.Item Propuesta de mejoramiento del proceso de producción de carne de res en la empresa Industria de Alimentos Carbel S.A(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2019) Mena Barona, Freddy; Simbaqueba Estrada, Andrés Giuseppe; Rojas Trejos, Carlos Alberto (Director)The purpose of this article is based on establishing an improvement proposal that contributes to minimize operational times in the process of stripping a beef channel and identify unnecessary movements made by operators in this area in the company Carbel Food Industries S.A, which is dedicated to the production and marketing of fresh and cold meats from the Cali´s city Valle del Cauca, using the study of methods and times. For this, tools such as analytical and synoptic course were used. For the definition of the improvement proposal, the 5w1h tool was used and the diagram causes an effect. Finally, the reduction of the operational time of the beef stripping of the proposed method from the current method was quantified and It made a cost-benefit analysis for the improvement proposal.Item Análisis de riesgos según la metodología FMEA, basado en el sistema de gestión de salud(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2019) Fandiño Piamba, Paola Andrea; Hurtado Solis, Marco; Estacio Cumbe, Jhonhanner Mauricio; García Jiménez, Juan Camilo (Director)Currently analyzing the risks that may cause a possible effect of both positive and negative uncertainty to achieve the objectives, is an integral part of the organizations. This article contains information related to contextual definitions adopted by authors that delve into the characterization of risk definitions, in the analysis it is evident that there are many challenges when addressing the issue, regardless of the activity of the organization. Currently many methods are known to analyze and evaluate the risks that can cause an effect of uncertainty, yielding a result that can be positive (opportunity for improvement) or that can be negative (threat), is taken as reference ISO 9001: 2015 in its requirement the risk-based thinking that addresses methods of analysis and evaluation of the risks that may arise in an organization. Therefore, the AMFE method (analysis of the mode and effect of potential failure) is carried out, as an application tool to arrive at a result that allows identifying the failures in the process and in the product or service, as well as preventing possible rejections, allowing the development of alternatives towards continuous improvement.Item Propuesta de un sistema de gestión de inventarios para los ítems tipo A en la empresa Seguridad y Ferretería Cali S.A.S(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2019) Sánchez Arias, Jhon Sebastián; León Martínez, Daniel Alejandro; Martínez Escobar, Nathaly (Directora)Inventory management is a crucial aspect within a company's supply chain. Currently, the business that is being studied on this paper "Seguridad y Ferreteria Cali S.A.S" does not show any sign of optimal management for its inventory or even some type of measure to control it, this can be observed to a point where it can be shown that around 10% of its current stock it already obsolete and dated; this, as a result, is leading the storage cost to increase and it is also taking away the possibility to prioritize items with higher sales turnover. As a matter of fact, and consecuentally to the previous statement, new P.Os have been getting done in a rudimentary and empiric way and the accounting platforms are being ignored. As it was observed on this research, the most impactful and recurrent flaw that can be observed on this company revolves around bad customer service and constant delays with product deliveries. Taking this into account, it is worth noting that this paper will propose the creation or development of an inventory management system to some product references such as "A" type products in which some stages where created, within them we can find: the use of flowcharts to characterize the current inventory/stock proccess, establishing the demand behaviour for type "A" products through CV indicator, the appliance of a stock forecast model that adecuates to each item's demand and setting a stock policy that adjust to the company's requirements and behaviour. Additionally, it is worth noting that once this implementation was done, an R.S stock policy was able to be set for 18 items that had erratic behaviour on their demand for the most part or even a trend; it was also possible to set some forecast such as croston, simple "EXPONENCIACION", and a "MOVIL" average. It is expected that this methodology, will allow the company to decrease their sold out instances and improve their customer service.Item Propuesta de diseño en planta para mejorar la eficiencia del proceso productivo en la empresa Maderas Leandro(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2019) Marín Osorio, Oswaldo; Parra Valdés, Daniel Alberto (Director)The main objective of this research is to propose a design of distribution of plants in Maderas Leandro for its next plant taking into account efficiently the resources that the company has and requires to carry out its production, could increase productivity; and with this, the reduction of costs will be appreciated in an environment where there will be a continuous flow of the productive operation. The study is descriptive, since it is part of the current state of the distribution of the plant in the company and is applied in the creation of a new distribution proposal for a new plant with the same characteristics. Said model takes into account articles of type A with the objective of reducing the current level of sold out articles, as well as enhancing profitability, and customer service; there are neither prediction methods nor inventory politics, urgent requests are made permanently and delivery compliance is low. By using both, the ABC classification and the historical behavior of the demand to determine patterns, the articles of greater impact on sales were identified. Through simulation, and taking into account the error, the prediction method was chosen. The article-demand classification allowed the definition of the control system for each one of them, considering firstly, for the determinist demand, the EOQ and the time-varying demand models with periodic revision of the s-Q and s-S models. Secondly, for the probabilistic demand with continuous revision, the R-S and R-s-S models were defined. For an article with unpredictable demand, an adapted min-to-max system was formulated. This research showed that 22,8% of the articles provide 62% of the total sales. The best predictions for trend patterns are obtained through simple linear regression, and for perpetual patterns, simple exponential softening and mobile average with N=10 to 12. It was established that patterns are also obtained by formulating very high values for R that may be a bit unpractical.Item Resultados exitosos en proyectos bajo los lineamientos del Project Management Institute(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2019) López Pérez, Leidy Johana; Vargas Acuña, Leidy Carolina (Directora)This bibliographic review article was interested in the study of a methodology under the Project Management guidelines formulated by the Project Management Institute - PMI, applied successfully in several companies around the world, which in a given moment faced problems that led them to almost disappear from the market, but thanks to the implementation of this methodology, they achieved successful results for the organization. The execution of successful projects allowed the strategic planning of organizations to be achieved, promoted and helped to grow in the market. For this, the PMI offers guidelines, which require specific tools to implement the methodology, in addition to adjusting the processes to the needs that arise.Item Aspectos a tener en cuenta para la formulación y implementación de un Sistema de Gestión de Salud y Seguridad en el Trabajo a partir de la norma ISO 45001 y demás disposiciones aplicables en Colombia(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2019) González Godoy, Maryuri Andrea; Jojoa Pérez, Alexander; Ramírez Guespu, Julián Andrés (Director)There are mandatory norms (laws, resolutions, ordinances) and others which have the focus on keeping a Good administration and human talent management (ISO 45001 Norm), so it’s relevan tinto an organization because is a necesary process to assure the permanence in the market, to achieve the targets at the meddium and long term and to keep a suitable worging environment to allow the organization preject from the interior to the customs, external collaborators, financial sector, public sector (govenrment), from that premise, we consult sources and analyze the most relevant aspects to allow the organizations be effective in the employees health managgement and keep a secure work environment; the government by the social protection ministry makes the public politics which are aligned with the ones done by worldwide organizations like health world organization (OMS), job international organizatios (OIT); economic comition for latín America and Caribe (CEPAL) at the world action plan of the OMS are five objectives: 1) elaborate and aplícate normative instruments about the employees health; 2) protect and promote the health at the workplace; 3) to have better occupational health services and the acces to them; 4) To give probatory data to strenghten measures and practices; 5) Integrate the employees health in other politics (OMS, 2010, p1).Item Diseño de rutas con VRP solver 3.0: caso de una empresa transportadora de mercancía(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2019) Carabali Ararat, Hader Junior Mauricio; Pineda Zapata, Uriel (Director)This article is focused on solving the problem of merchandise damming in a company dedicated to the delivery of parcels, located in Valle del Cauca, Colombia, from the optimization of the logistics process that allows to reduce the times of the delivery process to the customers and avoid losses for the company. The main objective of the research was to generate suitable routes that would allow timely deliveries for customers. In order to carry out this research, the VRP Solver 3.0 simulation program was used, which has undergone great expansion in recent years for the solution of this type of problem. With the design of the routes it would be possible to increase the level of service between 38% and 50%, this would increase the income for the company and reduce the level of damming of the same.
