According to this, what is intended with this research is to establish an adequate integration of information flows in organi zations making use of technologies and methodologies for the exchange of adequate information between the areas of a company that allows greater control, which guarantees better decision-making in real time. Different integration techniques are mentioned with which the rapid exchange of data and an efficient flow of information is possible. Also, emphasis is placed on the ISA S95 standard that defines, in addition to the hierarchical levels of an organization, an appropriate system regarding the flow of information from each area at each hierarchical level.Item Análisis de estrategias de comunicación en relación a responsabilidad sobre producto en instituciones que emplean organismos genéticamente modificados(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2019) Castaño Aristizábal, Jose Manuel; Opance González, David Alejandro; Robayo Avendaño, Angélica (Directora)Product responsibility is that which companies have towards their customers to communicate information related to their products. Product responsibility in genetically modified organisms (GMO) has been established through specialized institutions, risk assessments, safety data sheets and product labeling. The purpose of this study was to analyze the communication strategies that companies have with consumers to demonstrate their Product responsibility and stimulate interaction with stakeholders. Therefore, a preliminary review study was conducted in which scientific articles, sustainability reports and applicable regulations were analyzed. The results of the analysis indicate that the Product responsibility in GMO involves criteria related to the safety and health of the consumer and the labeling of the products. To communicate these aspects, companies that use GMO demonstrate their commitment to initiatives of related institutions, in addition to using sustainability reports and dissemination by electronic means. Based on the above, it is concluded that properly communicating the Product responsibility practices impacts the perception and trust of the consumers towards the company and its products, generating a competitive advantage for those who adopt them.Item Análisis de factibilidad para la adquisición de un sistema automático de máquinas empacadoras de arroz en una empresa arrocera del sur occidente colombiano(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2019) Balanta Rubiano, Germán; Martínez Escobar, Nathaly (Directora)The waste generated by the current machines, the delays in the delivery of the merchandise, the long working hours a nd the excessive times of machine stops due to maintenance, have become a landscape in the company. And that is why aproposal is made of automation of the packaging system forthe improvement of the process by means of the p urchase of a new equipment; For this, a series of measurements aremade in the production process of the rice comp any, where it is necessary to take into account production times, maintenance stops, all the down times of the curren t equipment of the company, to evaluate all the suppliers of.the teams to propose for the purchase, to compare adva ntages that have the new equipment, with respect to the current equipment of the plant, to analyze and to makethe c alculations of the return of investment of the project ofthe automatic system of packing machines and theimprovem ent of the packing process. With this study was found the consumption of the equipment that has the company and i t was possible to compare the ones of the proposal to buy and to observe the technical changes and savings for the company with this solution. One of the main conclusions is the selection of the automatic system of multipack mach ines, due to its lower price, lower consumption of resources, delivery time and the early return of investment of the project which is in just 11.4 months after the start-up of the equipment. Also, detailed results are exposed such as: List of machines that tend to fail because of lack of maintenance, which h ours work on average, which are the most productive operators, overall efficiency of the packing area, a small map of Processso that they manage to understand a little more the synchrony and the process of an automatic rice packaging system.Item Análisis de factibilidad para la construcción de horno túnel en una empresa ladrillera(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2019) Zúñiga Sinisterra, María Nela; Benavides Narváez, Anyela Yolima; Martínez Escobar, Nathaly (Directora)In the present article an analysis of the feasibility is shown, which was taken into account a market study, a technical-operative and economic study to determine the goodness of building an oven in the La Samaritana brick factory. This presentation in the process of drying and baking in the following problem: accumulation of material in process, underutilization of the area, nonconforming product, environmental problems and little competitiveness in the market. With the realization of the feasibility study, the very useful tool in the pre-operative phase of a project, the possibilities of success of the investment project can be presented to the management of the company. To carry out the feasibility study, take into account in the same place where the main needs of the operation can be known, the function used in the field that included the taking of data of the times of the production process, with this information An analysis of the faults presented at each moment was made. then a market study was carried out in the municipalities of the south of Valle del Cauca to determine the unmet potential demand, using secondary information from government agencies, books and company information; The economic analysis was necessary. Collect the financial information of the company. Depreciation and amortization was determined and the foregoing was determined by conducting a financial analysis. economic criteria that take into account the value of money over time. The main results of the study were obtained in the process. The result was: the writing of the production of 340,000 pieces / month to 1,000,000 pieces / month, the operation times. Drying and cooking time simultaneously; with the study of the market it is concluded that the organization is very competitive in terms of prices due to the results found in the principles of the main competences, and with the financial evaluation an IRR of 172% and a net real value is obtained greater than zero which means that the investment is feasible.Item Análisis de factores de seguridad para un adecuado trabajo en alturas en el sector construcción(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2019) Garay Montilla, Rosa María; Guerrero Chaves, Oscar David; Hernández Lucumí, Ingrid; Ramírez Guespú, Julián Andrés (Director)This document deals with the topic of work at specific heights in the construction sector, making known the procedures and safety factors of this activity, since the repetitive behaviors processed routinely causing customs in the work without precaution. It begins with the background of occupational safety and health, making known the origins and evolution of work behaviors at heights to date; Subsequently, information on the legality and regulations used in Colombia is provided, among these norms is Decree 1072 of 2015 where the work structure is stipulated. On the other hand, information on the ISO 45001 of 2018 standard is provided, which establishes parameters in occupational safety and health. The meaning of work at heights, indicators of accident in construction and tools necessary for the realization of work, such as scaffolding, platforms, stairs, among others, are also disclosed. The importance of identifying the safety factors for the preparation of the worker through training, medical check-up and adequate procedures to mitigate the risk to which they are affected is highlighted, thus ensuring the worker's life and obtaining good productive results.Item Análisis de indicadores claves para mejorar la efectividad de los proyectos en organizaciones del sector servicio mediante los principios ágiles de Scrum(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2023) Sánchez Melo, Ivanna Elizabeth; Ramos Montaño, ValentinaThe use of indicators promotes the correction of possible deviations during the entire development of the projects undertaken by an organization. When articulated with the defined objectives, these will help to add value to the decision-making process at the management level, becoming support systems for the control of the project. This research is focused on the analysis of key indicators to measure performance during the project life cycle using the Scrum framework, since it is characterized by operating transversally between the client and the work teams, promoting fast and efficient responses to the finished product. From the literature review, it could be evidenced that the different organizations had an improvement in terms of productivity since they detected errors in a timely manner, increased the quality of deliverables, decreased response times, and had trained and efficient teams, which improved the customer's perception. From the analysis, it is concluded that the implementation of good practices as performance indicators allows for project management, high-quality deliverables, feedback, understanding of the requirements and perceptions of the client, as well as the work teams.Item Análisis de la actualización normativa para los equipos de protección personal (EPP) en Colombia según la ISO 45001:2018(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2019) Álvarez Duque, Víctor Manuel; Sanz López, Mauricio Alejandro; Manrique Torres, José Alejandro; García Jiménez, Juan Camilo (Director)The objective of this paper is to analyze the normative update for personal protection teams (PPE) in Colombia according to NTC-ISO 45001: 2018, for which a bibliographic tracking of the main texts addressed in the subject of NTC-ISO 45001: 2018, as well as documents that analyze the update and transition of the previous standard, as well as documents that mention the benefits of the new standard. The methodology used was descriptive by means of which reliable sources of information on the subject of this monograph were evaluated. Among the results obtained, it was possible to identify the great relevance that companies and employers currently have in Colombia with respect to guaranteeing safety at work and promoting the health of their workers, as well as compliance with regulations, laws and decrees. that the national government has established for the achievement or scope of said safety and health promotion in workers in the country, which includes the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).Item Análisis de la cadena de suministro de las industrias farmacéuticas bajo un esquema de simulación de operaciones(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2021) Cundumi Jori, Cesar Augusto; Morales Carmona, Carlos Andrés; Arias Segura, Brayan Stiven; Masso Alzate, John Alexander (Director)The pharmaceutical industry has been characterized as one of the largest in the world and, therefore, one of the most complex. The supply chains of this sector are made up of different actors such as laboratories, distributors, health centers, pharmacies, and end consumers. Performing a global production analysis, for example, by executing a mathematical operation to understand the behavior of the different links that make up the chain, is a complex and time-consuming task. Simulation is therefore the appropriate tool to analyse the current and future behavior of processes that contemplate many inputs and operations. Through different case studies, it became evident that simulation not only yields results on the chain's main problems, such as bottlenecks, excess of resources used or dead times, but also shows the importance of the interconnection between the different actors for the satisfactory achievement of the objectives; as well as the need to understand the governmental policies of each country, the organizational culture, the implementation of a common technological platform and the treatment of information.Item Análisis de la factibilidad para la implementación de un aplicativo web para la reserva y venta de pasajes en transporte marítimo en Tumaco Nariño(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2022) Castillo Cortes, Martin Elias Plutarco; Olmedo Pineda, Ruben Dario; Rojas López, Johanna (Directora)The main objective of this research was to determine the feasibility of implementing an e-commerce system for the reservation and sale of maritime tickets in Tumaco, Nariño. It is a non-experimental, descriptive and transversal research, where the techniques of questionnaire, survey and interview were applied. The study sample consisted of 192 people for Satinga and 191 people for Salahonda. The results of the study show the technical feasibility and the financial and economic projections in favor of the implementation of electronic commerce through the web application.Item Análisis de la gestión del área de compras como estrategia competitiva en las organizaciones(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2024) Barona Robledo, Claudia Lorena; Banguera Caicedо, Paula Andrea; García Cuervo, Carolina (Directora)Making purchases for the production of goods in organizations has become more than just a simple activity, nowadays this management is carried out by departments well equipped with the necessary resources to carry out this function. This area is responsible for acquiring and having available the required inputs (equipment, spare parts, raw materials, packaging material, products and even services), with the appropriate quality and at the best possible price, directly impacting the efficiency, costs and productivity of the entire company. However, the impact of this area represents for the organization up to 45 or 50% of cost participation, so it becomes important from a strategic point of view, increasing the interest in strengthening processes and results to achieve the objectives of profitability, differentiation and sustainability. The objective of this article is to offer the reader an easy-to-understand document that allows to understand the importance and impact of purchasing management as a competitive strategy in organizations, and also to deepen on the relationships between the supply chain, purchasing and success cases from the results in the supply that guarantee competitive advantages. The document begins with a bibliographic review based on the theory and definitions that different authors have on the subject; then, through a descriptive methodology, an analysis of the positions of the different authors cited in the text is carried out.Item Análisis de las prácticas de responsabilidad social en un emprendimiento informal de comida rápida ubicado en Santiago de Cali en 2024(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2025) Cardona Diaz, Andrea; Chávez Arias, Isabella; Rojas Peña, Oscar Mauricio (Director)This research analyzes the social responsibility practices implemented by an informal fast-food venture located in Santiago de Cali in 2024. The study confirms that informal businesses are indeed capable of engaging in socially responsible practices implicitly, as previously identified in the literature review. The main objective of this research was to analyze the socially responsible practices carried out by an informal fast-food business in 2024. The study focused on understanding how these practices are applied in a business that has also expressed interest in formalizing its operations. To achieve this, three specific objectives were established: to characterize the social responsibility practices implemented in the fast-food venture, to examine the execution of these current practices, and to propose recommendations to strengthen social responsibility within the business. The study adopted a qualitative methodological approach with a descriptive and exploratory scope. Surveys and interviews were conducted with the owner and employees of the business to identify existing practices and improvement opportunities through four variables: economic, social, environmental, and stakeholders. Using industrial engineering tools, the results showed that the business maintains good relationships with suppliers, customers, and employees. However, it faces challenges related to waste management, financial transparency, and employee social security. To address these issues, strategic recommendations were made, such as implementing a waste management plan and a minimum standards plan aligned with the Occupational Health and Safety Management System (SG-SST). These strategies aim to reduce environmental impact and improve working conditions, supporting the business in its path toward formalization.Item Análisis de las ventajas de metodologías agiles para la formulación de proyectos en el contexto empresarial(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2021) Carabali Orejuela, Hernando; Cedeño Grajales, Alejandro; López Hernández, Cesar Augusto; García Jiménez, Juan Camilo (Director)The general objective of this paper is to know the characteristics and possible impacts of the SCRUMBAN agile methodology in project management in the business context. At a methodological level, a systematic literature search is used, in databases such as SciencDirect, Scorpus, Dialnet, Springer, among others, academic documents, scientific articles belong, 3,785 documents were found, 39 articles were filtered and selected, where they were present documented cases that have addressed agile methodologies in business contexts, which allow describing their characteristics, conditions, benefits and disadvantages, as well as identifying the requirements to successfully implement a particular methodology. In the business context, agile methodologies have begun to be used, which consists of timely, fast, efficient and above all flexible methods, supported by the technological component, collaborative work and resultsoriented as specific objectives. The SCRUMBAN methodology groups SCRUM and Kanban elements for project management, with the use of software a control panel is established to optimize the use of resources such as the scheduling of activities for their management and monitoring. This methodology is considered flexible, oriented to learning and continuous improvement, in addition to allowing the delivery of completed and functional stages of the project, aimed at generating income for the client during the term and development of the project.Item Análisis de literatura sobre los modelos de gestión de compras y suministro para las empresas del sector azucarero del Valle del Cauca(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2024) Jaramillo García, Stephany; Calderón Mazuera, María Fernanda (Directora)Whose objective is to carry out a bibliographic review for the identification and analysis of purchasing and supply management models for companies in the sugar sector of Valle del Cauca, is located in a paradigm that is widely applied worldwide; for this purpose, various techniques and tools of analysis have been used in the search for improving its performance and efficiency. Several research works have carried out detailed analyses of the chain, through the breakdown of the parts and elements that identify it, which has allowed revealing parameters and variables in its operation that turn them into critical success factors; these are the fundamental elements through which this research is developed, to carry out the respective analysis five components are taken, which in turn are broken down into 19 critical factors, which through their study allow appropriately locating the state in which the sugar organizations of the region find themselves. It should be noted that this analysis is of a theoretical nature based on bibliographic and qualitative research. On the one hand, studies that deal with sugar companies are identified in a general manner, using each of the components of the proposed model as search nomenclators and, on the other hand, the situation of the companies in the region; this, by means of a bibliographic review and critical analysis of studies in a time window of five years ago. At the end, there is a table that presents the analysis and observations based on the conclusions of this work.Item Análisis de metodologías agiles aplicadas a empresas de software en colombia(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2023) Caicedo Jimenéz, Paola Andrea; Camargo Caicedo, Luis Felipe; Arboleda Zuñiga, Jairo (Director)For the following review article, a research and exploration work on the analysis of agile methodologies applied to software companies in Colombia will be evidenced, finding the number of companies that first implement or use software, fulfilling this, how many companies are beginning to implement in their operations, the methodologies or agile work frameworks, as an indispensable tool when solving problems; all this guided by an exploratory methodology, classified into 3 phases (A, B and C) these are: characterize, determine and validate, finding the information in different databases such as Google Scholar, Science Direct, Scopus, also researching in journals such as , Google Scholar, Dial net, Scient Direct, SciELO; evidencing that the most used methodology in software companies in Colombia is SCRUM.Item Análisis de riesgos asociados al proceso productivo de fritura de papas en el restaurante de comidas rápidas "Pare y coma aquí es la Lora", ubicado en la ciudad de Santiago de Cali(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2023) Arias Murillo, Dayana; Aponza Espinosa, Leidy Natalia; Botero Herrera, Héctor Mario; Rojas López, Johanna (Directora)This study addresses the issue of workplace accidents at the "Pare y coma aquí es la Lora" restaurant in Santiago de Cali, focusing specifically on the French fries production process. The aim is to develop a comprehensive risk management plan that reduces these accidents by 60% during the first half of next year. Using an experimental methodology and the risk panorama matrix, risks are identified, evaluated, and prioritize associated risks such as burns, cuts, and falls to implement some appropriate mitigation strategies, such as comprehensive training programs, personal protective equipment, regular safety inspections, emergency response protocols, and employee wellness program, being measured through the application of indicators, which will provide evidence of compliance with the program. Risk assessment and ongoing monitoring of mitigation strategies are central to this approach. Preliminary results indicate a significant decrease in the accident rate, demonstrating the efficacy of this approach in improving workplace safety conditions. This study has implications for safety management in the restaurant industry, demonstrating how risk management can effectively improve workplace safety.Item Análisis de riesgos operacionales y propuestas de estrategias de mitigación, asociados al almacenamiento de producto terminado en la bodega No. 1 de la empresa Cemex Transportes de Colombia S.A. en la ciudad Santiago de Cali(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2023) Bonilla Arias, Brahyan; Santa Caballero, Valeria; Valencia Sanclemente, Julián Andrés; Rojas López, Johanna (Directora)company Cemex Transportes de Colombia S.A. It is proposed to identify the operational risks present in its warehouse 1 in Cali, in order to provide an identification, assessment and intervention measures of dangers and risks. The specific objectives are to identify and classify the main operational risks to which Cemex Bodega 1 employees are exposed, prepare the hazard identification matrix, risk assessment and intervention measures in the company, and propose necessary intervention measures. to minimize its materialization. This was developed through applied scientific research with a methodology based on exploratory/formulative studies, where risk identification and assessment was implemented using a Risk Matrix from which action plans were generated to prevent and manage the identified risks. Likewise, forms for Risk Assessment were developed and measures/procedures were produced for risk control. In addition, corrective and preventive actions will be carried out to avoid recurrence and continually improve safety and health at work. Finally, the effective management of operational risks in the company Cemex Transportes de Colombia S.A. It is a key factor in since it guarantees security and the minimization of risks in the daily activities of the company.Item Análisis de riesgos según la metodología FMEA, basado en el sistema de gestión de salud(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2019) Fandiño Piamba, Paola Andrea; Hurtado Solis, Marco; Estacio Cumbe, Jhonhanner Mauricio; García Jiménez, Juan Camilo (Director)Currently analyzing the risks that may cause a possible effect of both positive and negative uncertainty to achieve the objectives, is an integral part of the organizations. This article contains information related to contextual definitions adopted by authors that delve into the characterization of risk definitions, in the analysis it is evident that there are many challenges when addressing the issue, regardless of the activity of the organization. Currently many methods are known to analyze and evaluate the risks that can cause an effect of uncertainty, yielding a result that can be positive (opportunity for improvement) or that can be negative (threat), is taken as reference ISO 9001: 2015 in its requirement the risk-based thinking that addresses methods of analysis and evaluation of the risks that may arise in an organization. Therefore, the AMFE method (analysis of the mode and effect of potential failure) is carried out, as an application tool to arrive at a result that allows identifying the failures in the process and in the product or service, as well as preventing possible rejections, allowing the development of alternatives towards continuous improvement.Item Análisis de viabilidad para la instalación de una planta de incineración de residuos sólidos urbanos, para la generación de energía con bajo impacto ambiental en la ciudad de Cali(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2021) Torres Cortes, Pablo Steven; Zambrano, Yesid Fabian (Director)The thesis was carried out on the feasibility analysis for the installation of an urban solid waste incineration plant, for the generation of energy with low environmental impact in the city of Cali in order to know the technical, economic and environmental feasibility for the installation of a RSU incineration plant in the city of Cali. The document analyzes the generation of MSW in Cali through the years through the Comprehensive Solid Waste Management Plan - PGIRS 2015 - 2027 updated to 2020. It contains what is related to the population increase in the city in addition to the quantity and characterization of the MSW generated in Cali over time. Taking into account the above, the optimal types of MSW for incineration are chosen given their calorific power. In another way, the composition of the incineration plant with the main processes towards the generation of electrical energy is disclosed. Next, the investment costs related to the installation of the incineration plant are analyzed, among the main costs are: Machinery and equipment, civil works and construction, administrative and productive labor, and some variable costs. Considering the previous results, the total investment cost is calculated to later know the income from the sale of electricity and know the economic viability of the project through the return on investment (Payback). At the end, a sketch and distribution in an adequate plan is proposed, considering 2 sources: The plan of the MSW incineration plant located in San Andrés and a feasibility analysis for the implementation of an urban solid waste incinerator in the state of Tlaxcala. Finally, the Colombian regulations applicable to the MSW incineration process in the city of Cali are analyzed, with this, the environmental viability is evaluated according to the pollutants (Gases) generated in the plant after the process.Item Análisis del aporte de las tecnologías emergentes en los procesos operacionales de la cadena de suministro en una empresa manufacturera del Valle del Cauca, Colombia(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2025) Rosero Caicedo, Laura Juliana; Andrade Moscoso, Santiago; Arango Salcedo, Samuel; Cruz Narvaez, James (Director)This research aims to study the contribution of emerging technologies in a manufacturing company in Valle del Cauca, where it is sought to know whether or not the implementation of an inventory management system in the company’s CEDI provides benefits. Therefore, the general objective is to analyze the contribution of emerging technologies in operational processes in a manufacturing company in Valle del Cauca, Colombia and as specific objectives, identify technological developments related to emerging technologies applied to the supply chain, Define the supply chain processes susceptible to the application of emerging technology and, as a final result, simulate in FLESXIM the impact of emerging technologies on the supply chain in the logistics process in a manufacturing company in the Valle del Cauca, Colombia. A quantitative methodology was used, where numerical data will be used to measure and assess the impact of emerging technologies. This investigation has shown that the WMS inventory management system can reduce unnecessary movement, there was a significant increase in the time spent on other tasks or maintenance of equipment, on the other hand, it can be observed that with the implementation of WMS there is a tendency to decrease the margin of error in the organization of the products to be stored. Where it can be concluded that the implementation of this emerging technology in this manufacturing company generates benefits in terms of improved logistics and storage, also increasing lead times for the development of other activities that add to the supply chain.Item Análisis del impacto de la norma ISO 9001:2015 en el mejoramiento de la calidad de los procesos operacionales de una IPS(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2025) Murillo Hinestroza, Diego Fernando; Urrutia Perlaza, Luis Gabriel; Calderón, María Fernanda (Directora)This research, entitled "Analysis of the Impact of ISO 9001:2015 on the Quality Improvement of Operational Processes in a Healthcare Provider (HPI)," was conducted in a healthcare provider institution (HPI) located in the southern Pacific coast. Its main purpose was to determine how the implementation of this standard influenced the quality, effectiveness, and user satisfaction of a healthcare provider. In this context, the research was developed based on three specific objectives: to diagnose operational processes before and after the implementation of the standard; to analyze its effectiveness in customer satisfaction and continuous improvement; and to propose strategies aimed at strengthening the quality of operational processes, all considering Chapters 8 (Operation), 9 (Performance Evaluation), and 10 (Improvement) of ISO 9001:2015. A mixed methodological approach was used with documentary analysis, interviews, and surveys of HPI users that were shared by the organization. The results obtained show that the IPS meets 78% of the requirements in the operations chapter, 63% in the evaluation/performance chapter, and 76% in the improvement chapter Furthermore, the systematic application of quality management principles has allowed for the identification of specific opportunities for improvement, the establishment of more effective controls, and the promotion of an organizational culture oriented toward continuous improvement. Furthermore, the implementation of a quality management system based on ISO 9001:2015 not only improves internal processes but also increases user satisfaction, strengthens compliance with legal and regulatory standards, and generates a positive impact on the operational sustainability of the IPS. Through characterizations, a clear path has also been established to guarantee institutional quality and effectiveness. However, findings such as non-compliance with requirements in chapters 8 (Operations), 9 (Evaluation and Performance), and 10 (Improvement) of ISO 9001:2015 and a lack of correct.
