This research aims to analyze the refined white sugar manufacturing process at a sugar mill in Valle del Cauca using a simulation model, in order to identify opportunities for improving the efficiency of the process of transforming sugarcane into finished products. The study is based on a detailed analysis of methods and times, identifying bottlenecks, raw material waste, and high costs at various stages of the process. The methodology is based on the simulation of key subprocesses, including receiving, milling, clarification, evaporation, crystallization, centrifugation, drying, and storage. The expected results will reduce processing times, decrease raw material losses, and improve the mill's operational efficiency.
