Logistics seeks to interact with the other elements of the chain among themselves, thus generating a greater value proposition to customers, as well as the efficiency and maximization of the company's resources; The processes of the supply chain in the food sector in Colombia are the basis for the execution of a good strategy of the organization, generating competitiveness and improving the processes. Companies are discovering that the increasing complexity of supply chains has an important consequence, these processes are generally four and are composed in the following way. Supply, understanding that this process corresponds to the company's strategy in terms of an inventory management model correlated with the sales projection. Storage and Picking corresponds to the second process and leads to everything related to wineries and picking models in terms of optimizing costs and the best way to have inventory stocks. Distribution would be the third process in the supply chain, responsible for the delivery of goods to the final customer, where this can be through a customer spraying, last mile strategy or simply having a third party company specialized in this work. The fourth process is the reverse logistics that for a decade has taken more force in the supply chain, because it collects the most information from the client and has as an improvement model having the customer service system integrated with this process.
