To meet the objective of the study, it was developed under a descriptive and crosssectional quantitative approach, initially based on the definition of the observable criteria expected against the development of expressive and comprehensive language in children between 2 and 3 years of age. where the BATELLE® language assessment instruments and the checklist of The American Speech-languageHearing Association (ASHA) were used as a reference for the construction of a language assessment tool in children aged 2 to 3 years, which was fed with the theoretical proposals of Owens, Hodson, Guiroy et al and Sánchez, where 22 observable criteria for monitoring language development were consolidated in the comprehensive and expressive component and the phonological, semantic, and syntactic subcomponents , morphological and pragmatic.
