Item Análisis de la oferta del programa de administración de empresas en las universidades de cali(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2022) Araujo Sepúlveda, Leticia; Escobar Cabrera, Julio Cesar (Director)The Business Administration program is offered by all the universities of Cali, for this reason the need arises to compare its characteristics, which is of interest both for higher education institutions and for applicants to enter, and this analysis facilitates institutions, making decisions for the improvement of programs at the time of renewal of qualified registration or renewal of high quality. The purpose of this research was to analyze the offer of the Business Administration program in the universities of Cali. This work was carried out with secondary sources represented by documents such as books and articles from digital magazines taken from databases such as academic Google, Scielo, and websites of public and private entities. In addition, the technique that was initially used was the bibliographic review and then a documentary analysis. The results show that of the 13 Universities of Cali that offer the Business Administration program, three are public and 10 are private, of which six have high-quality accreditation, while 7 have this program accredited and 6 have both accreditations (institutional and program). The number of credits of the Administration programs ranges from 170 at the Icesi University to 142 at the Minuto de Dios University Corporation, which is possibly related to differences in the number of subjects and their hourly intensity. The number of semesters varies from 11 at the Universidad del Valle at night, to 8 semesters at the Universidad Católica, Universidad Antonio Nariño, Universidad Javeriana, Universidad Libre and Universidad Cooperativa. The universities of Cali coincide in training for entrepreneurship as a way to motivate their students and future professionals to create their own companies. Most universities offer the program during the day and at night, thus facilitating the possibility of studying and working, however, the existence of two additional modalities stands out: distance learning in the Minuto de Dios University Corporation and San Martin University and the virtual at the Santiago de Cali University and the Antonio Nariño University. The value of the semester varies widely among the universities, with the most expensive being those offered by the Icesi University ($10,800,000), the Pontifical Javeriana University ($9,554,000) and the Autonomous University of the West ($6,007,000), and the least expensive those offered by the Minuto de Dios University Corporation ($1,854,800), San Martin University ($1,865,800), Antonio Nariño University ($2,749,000), Antonio José Camacho University Institution ($2,771,004) and the National School Sports ($2,774,180), this difference in cost is related to the conditions that the universities put at the service of the students. In conclusion, the characteristics of the Business Administration programs offered by the universities of Cali, present differences in aspects such as: type of institution according to public or private nature, modality, working day, duration, number of credits, cost of the semester, plan studies, occupational profile, professional profile and accreditation status.
