Item Factores asociados a la accidentalidad por riesgo biológico en estudiantes de enfermería, revisión de alcance(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2022) Giraldo Paz José David; Muñoz Giraldo Geraldyn; Velasco Viáfara Claudia Marcela; Loaiza Buitrago, Diana FernandaObjective: to identify the factors associated with having a biological risk accident in nursing students who carry out clinical practices. Method: A bibliographic search was carried out in the databases of the Santiago de Cali University: Scopus, PubMed, Clarivate, Dianelt, Valle del Cauca High Speed University Network Association and Sciencie direct and also in academic Google. The analysis resulted in 5 categories: sociodemographic characteristics, academic aspects, biological accident, personal and institutional factors, and finally, the culture of the report. Results: the teaching-learning process influences the occurrence of the biological accident in terms of relationships of trust and guidance with the teacher, also with resources and the environment in the institution. The most frequent cause is needle prick in the fingers of the hands, due to the presence of personal stress factors and/or knowledge of the technique and the application of biosafety measures. Finally, there is a low level of reporting due to fear of punitive measures and low risk perception. Conclusions: Personal factors are generally observed in terms of managing emotions, as well as in the academic part, the poor knowledge of the student as well as the company of the tutor or teacher, the breach of protocols, vaccination schedule and a timely report at the time of the accident
