Item Víctimas silenciadas: el maltrato hacia mujeres adolescentes gestantes(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2024) Cuero Cuero, Paula Marcela; Ordoñez Angulo, Rosa Daniela; Prado, Beatriz Eugenia (Director)Abuse of pregnant adolescent women is one of the most common and least visible forms of violence in today's society. This type of mistreatment causes numerous affectations that significantly impact their mental, physical and emotional health, and have repercussions in their physical, psychological and social spheres. This literature review aims to describe the evidence published between 2017 and 2024 on maltreatment towards pregnant adolescent women, seeking to describe the most frequent types of maltreatment, the risk factors related to the mother's age and condition, as well as the consequences for the mother-child dyad. The results of this review suggest that pregnant adolescent women are highly vulnerable to psychological, physical and sexual violence by their partners, ex-partners, family members and health professionals. There are risk factors at the individual, family, economic and couple levels that increase vulnerability and generate long-term consequences for both mother and child. In conclusion, violence against pregnant adolescent women is a multidimensional problem that requires urgent and effective intervention by families, health professionals, health institutions and society in general to prevent and mitigate its serious consequences
