Item Espirometria en paciente adulto post-covid19 una revisión de alcance(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2024) Perea Quiñones, Marvin Julieth; Carrero, Diana Alejandra (Directora)Spirometric tests in post-COVID-19 adults are crucial for assessing lung function and detecting potential respiratory sequelae. Objective: To identify spirometric findings in the assessment of lung function in adult patients after recovering from COVID-19. Materials and Methods: A scoping review focused on spirometric tests in post-COVID-19 adults was conducted. Information retrieval took place across five databases: Pubmed, Springer, Scopus, Taylor and Francis, and Science Direct. Medical Subject Headings (MeSH) descriptors and Health Sciences Descriptors (Desc) were employed, encompassing terms such as COVID-19, spirometric evaluation, post-COVID-19 in adults, lung function, and boolean operators "AND" and "OR" combined with the term "evaluation." Results: A total of 195 articles were identified across the databases, with 121 excluded due to duplicate records, 39 by title exclusion, 17 by content exclusion, and 15 for not meeting inclusion criteria. Finally, three articles were selected for the review. Conclusions: The studies indicate that spirometric parameters are altered in post- COVID patients, signifying a decrease in lung function and the lungs' capacity to mobilize air.
