Item Estudio de la huella ecológica (he) para la formación ambiental de una comunidad educativa(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2016) Molina Abonia, Guillermo; Gomez Vargas, Reinaldo; Marmolejo García, Luis CarlosIn this paper the results of a calculation oriented ecological footprint of School Santa Rosa strategy exposed by an adaptation of the method for corporate footprint proposed by (Domenech, 2006), in order to provide the development of environmental education at school, the footprinting revealed that the school in their consumption practices related to water and the inadequate management of solid waste is negatively impacting the environment. The research was based on a study of mixed type (qualitative and quantitative) with which it was established ecological footprint qualitatively and quantitatively. Similarly, in the application of labor it was seen to be useful as supporting teachers to implement classroom innovative and enjoyable teaching strategies that arouse the students' interest in environmental learning of natural science subjects, situation it allowed the design and allow for future research raised a proposal for classroom intervention to mitigate the negative effect that institutional practices currently have on the environment and promote the educational community- oriented sustainable resource management culture. Leading students to formulate, solve, enrich and expand environmental knowledge from the perspective of critical thinking and skills development.
