Item Anatomía y fisiología respiratoria en el niño(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2025) Vargas Betancur, Natalia; González Mina, Briyith Daniela; Trujillo Aya, Camilo; Urrea Arango, Diana Carolina (Director)To understand the anatomy and physiology of the upper and lower airway in newborns and children, with the aim of reducing the risks associated with clinical management. Methodology: This chapter is based on a bibliographic review of narrative reviews, systematic reviews, clinical trials, scientific trials, and book chapters, retrieved from the databases Pubmed, Scielo, Science Direct, and Google Scholar, with a sample of 35 publications in English, Spanish, and Turkish, between 2010 and 2025. In addition, books from various publishers were included, whose publication date ranged from 2000 to 2025. These publications were identified using search strategies, that considered the use of the terms Mesh and Decs. These equations yielded 23 articles. Among the 22 selected review articles, 2 were systematic reviews, 3 narrative reviews, 1 descriptive review, 1 to educational review, and the rest to traditional reviews.
