Item Actitudes frente la masturbación femenina en los adolescentes en un colegio oficial de la ciudad de Cali(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2023) Albornoz Vente, Laura Melitza; Muñoz, Leopoldo (Director)Throughout history, sexuality has been approached from many perspectives, ranging from biological approaches linked to reproduction to religious and social considerations. Despite the evolution in the understanding of sexuality, masturbation has been a historically taboo, even being condemned for religious and pseudoscientific reasons. This study focuses on exploring the attitudes of adolescents from a secondary school in CaliColombia towards female masturbation in the year 2023. The research was based on a non-experimental quantitative methodology, with a type of descriptive research and a cross-sectional design, to carry out the research, an inventory previously validated by experts on the attitude towards female masturbation was applied, to obtain an overview of the students of the institution, in the results we found that the attitudes of adolescents towards female masturbation indicate a mostly positive trend in the behavioral and cognitive dimensions. The majority of participants (56.5%) show a favorable predisposition towards behaviors associated with female masturbation, while 26.0% express resistance in the behavioral dimension. Regarding the affective dimension, a small difference is observed between those who are in favor (39.7%) and against (40.7%) of expressing themselves emotionally. Acording to this we can say in conclusion, that the study indicates in general aspects, that the adolescents show positive attitudes towards female masturbation. The cognitive component reveals that more than 50% of adolescents have knowledge and positive beliefs about the importance of access to information and self-knowledge in relation to sexuality, supporting the idea that sexual education is fundamental in their development.
