Seguridad y salud en el trabajo como ventaja competitiva

This article aims to raise awareness of the relationship between risk prevention, work absenteeism and competitiveness in companies. Contextually, it is intended to study figures associated with accidents at work and development of occupational diseases in Colombia. In turn, this document includes a light description of the appropriate actions that organizations could take to avoid incurring additional expenses, as a result of inefficient management of occupational safety and health. The bibliographic review method was used for the collection of secondary information sources, which were of paramount importance to construct the discussion of the article.
