    Psilocybe mushrooms have been used by different cultures for centuries in religious or ritual acts. One of the main characteristics of psilocybe mushrooms is their content of psychoactive substances with therapeutic potential for the treatment of mood disorders and other conditions that affect people's quality of life. Despite this knowledge, scientific research on psilocybe mushrooms requires further study, as it is limited both in the world and in South America and Colombia due to legal vacuums or explicit prohibitions in different geographical areas.
