This article consisted of the documentary review of the implementation of a Quality Management System through the ISO 9001 standard of 2015 in companies in Colombia; since the evident growth of the organizations of the industrial sector, makes them a potential target to carry out the implementation of all kinds of tools that contribute to the efficiency of the processes and procedures to optimize the products and services offered to the client. The type of study was descriptive, due to the fact that a description of an Integral Management System was carried out to later establish the impact it would have on national companies. In the same way, the analysis of how the optimization of quality provides the contributions that are required in the design of techniques and mechanisms of implementation for monitoring and control of processes based on useful data for the reduction of costs and times and improvement of quality of staff life Finally, a brief review of what ISO 9001: 2015 is about and the instruments that from the Quality approach could be applied in order to ensure the success and sustainability of a QMS in a company is carried out either of goods or services.
