Item Modelo de mejoramiento de rutas con VRP Solver 3.0 para el caso de una empresa de producción y suministro de mezcla asfáltica: Muvek S.A.S.(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2019) Lopera Taborda, Santiago; Arboleda Zúñiga,JairoThis article is focused on improving the logistic problem of the routes for the asphalt mixing dispatch, where there were found cost overruns in the company case of study, dedicated to the supply and application of mixture for civil engineering works. The company is located in Santiago de Cali, Valle del Cauca, Colombia. With the improvement of the logistic routes for the mixture distribution, it is expected to satisfy the client requirements, increasing the service level and reducing the costs and distribution times. The main objective of the investigation was to develop a route improvement model with VRP Solver 3.0, which is a simulation program that has had a great expansion in the last years to solve similar problems. Thus, with the design of the routes, it is possible to increase the mixing percentage received by the client in 27% approximately and to reduce the cost overruns in a 20% in relation to the costs that are currently generated in the case of study.
