Item Ejercicio terapéutico en deportistas con dolor inguinal: Revisión de alcance(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2023-05-31) Andrade Acosta, Jennifer Antonella; Reyes Londoño Luz Angela(Directora)Introduction: The groin pain of the athlete involves the alteration in the locomotor system, specifically of the pelvic girdle, the therapeutic exercise during the rehabilitation process is an intervention strategy used from the role of the physiotherapist. Methodology: a scope review was carried out from the databases and search portals: PubMed, ScienciDirect, Scopus, Dialnet, Springer and Scielo; Sage journals, under selection criteria related to chronology, considering the type of intervention on physiotherapeutic management during therapeutic exercise finding selection studies in athletes with groin pain. Results: During the analysis of the 14 selected articles, therapeutic exercise was found as a primary intervention in athletes with groin pain, stretching stands out, as a complement during the exercise program, however, there is very little information on the specific role of stretching and its effectiveness in improving recovery. They also describe the use of conservative treatment, which is based on therapeutic exercise, focusing on strengthening abdominal and hip muscles, the treatment period varies from 8 to 12 weeks. Conclusions: Of the interventions proposed in the 14 articles, the physiotherapeutic management with the greatest report of efficacy and validity was conservative treatment, which focuses on therapeutic exercise to strengthen the abdominal and hip muscles. The program based on active training is more effective than a program based on manual therapy. The modified Hölmich protocol is safe and more effective than the classic Hölmich protocol, allowing athletes to return to their sporting activity more quickly. The rehabilitation program should be supervised, at least 5 times a week. The dosage of the exercises according to series, repetitions, loads, speed, and progression depends on how the pain is on a scale of 0 to 10, it is recommended to increase loads if the pain is less than or equal to 2. To date, no criteria-based rehabilitation protocols have been published for groin injuries, and no specific criteria have been described for when players are allowed to return to the sport.
