Intervenciones Fisioterapéuticas en pacientes con Vestibulopatía Bilateral. Revisión literaria

Idiopathic bilateral vestibulopathy is a balance disorder caused by dysfunction in both peripheral labyrinths or the vestibular nerves. This review aimed to determine the effectiveness of the most commonly used physiotherapeutic treatments. Eleven studies were analyzed, showing that interventions focus on promoting central nervous system plasticity through adaptation or substitution mechanisms. All therapies reviewed demonstrated improvements in symptoms, gait, balance, postural control, and the patients' perceived quality of life in daily activities.
