Item Estado funcional de las personas que han cursado la enfermedad de COVID-19: revisión de alcance(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2023) Narváez López Hugo Andrés; Ángel Molina Juan Bernardo; Sánchez Acosta Kevin Andrey; Rodríguez Cabal Mónica Andrea(Directora)SARS-CoV-2, first detected in Wuhan in 2019, causes COVID-19, which can leave functional sequelae affecting quality of life. This study aimed to review scientific evidence on functional status in individuals who had COVID-19. A scoping review was conducted following Joanna Briggs Institute (JBI) methodology, using PubMed, SCOPUS, and ScienceDirect databases, including articles published between 2020 and 2023. A total of 26 studies evaluating adults of both sexes were included. Results show that the most frequently used tool was the Post-COVID-19 Functional Status Scale (PCFS), which identified reduced functional status mainly in basic activities of daily living, with mild severity being the most common. Female sex, age between 60 and 90 years, and hospital stay were the main factors influencing functional impairment.
