dc.descriptionIngresar a la universidad representa para muchos jóvenes una de las metas más significativas a cumplir en el curso de su trayectoria vital. Transitar al espacio de la universidad cuando se es joven, implica no solamente enfrentarse al desafío típico de conocer un nuevo contexto, sino que también plantea nuevas formas de verse a sí mismo/a y de estar en el mundo (Mattos y Branco, 2015). Ser joven y, al mismo tiempo, ser universitario/a, representa un doble desafío en términos de la construcción de la trayectoria de vida (de Novaes, 2023). Lo anterior supone, que los retos del entorno universitario van más allá de las responsabilidades académicas y se proyectan a esferas de la experiencia vital que comprenden dimensiones emocionales, afectivas, sociales y vinculares. De esta manera, el/la universitario/a deberá movilizar diversidad de recursos psicológicos, emocionales, sociales y culturales para interactuar en el nuevo espacio académico, así como también construir y mantener redes de apoyo que lo sostengan a lo largo de su trayectoria y de esta forma, consolidar la meta de culminar su carrera.
dc.description.abstractFor many young people, entering college represents one of the most significant goals to achieve in the course of their lives. Transitioning to the college environment as a young person involves not only facing the typical challenge of navigating a new setting, but also exploring new ways of seeing oneself and engaging with the world (Mattos and Branco, 2015). Being young and, at the same time, a college student presents a dual challenge in terms of shaping one’s life trajectory (de Novaes, 2023). This implies that the challenges of the college environment extend beyond academic responsibilities and extend into spheres of life experience that encompass emotional, affective, social, and relational dimensions. Thus, university students must mobilize a variety of psychological, emotional, social, and cultural resources to navigate the new academic environment, as well as build and maintain support networks that sustain them throughout their journey, thereby solidifying their goal of completing their degree.
