Item Rol socioafectivo del Educador Físico en el envejecimiento activo(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2025) Cuero Sánchez, Valentina; López Quila, Maria Alejandra; López Herrera, Julián Andrés (Director)Introduction: Active aging is a perspective that promotes the well-being of older adults from physical, cognitive, emotional, and social dimensions. Objective: This reflective article analyzes the physical educator's role in fostering active aging, with a focus on their socio-affective function. Methodology: Based on a critical review of literature and insights from community-based interventions. General Reflection: Findings indicate that physical educators go beyond facilitating movement to create meaningful connections that strengthen self-esteem, belonging, and motivation in the elderly. Conclusions: The article calls for recognizing physical educators as humanizing agents in aging processes, which contributes to both health optimization and dignity in later life.
