Item Kaizen como herramienta estratégica para la sostenibilidad en medianas empresas del sector industrial(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2019) Garzon Parra, Jhonathan; Vélez Rodríguez, Daniela; Escobar Lozada, Viviana; Ramírez Guespú, Julian AndrésThe objective of this article is to analyze Lean Manufacturing and Kaizen within the strategy to achieve positive changes towards the sustainability of medium-sized companies in the Colombian industrial sector. A descriptive study with a qualitative approach is used, the documentary review is used as techniques and secondary sources are consulted. Business dynamics, in contexts such as Colombia, have shown the constant need for change so that companies have environmentally responsible practices, in accordance with the principles of sustainability, while business dynamics have led to productivity improvement based on Be more competitive. In this context, there is the possibility for Lean Manufacturing to be implemented as the Kaizen, which allows companies to rethink their processes based on optimizing, reducing pollution and activities that do not generate value, while also It encourages continuous improvement to overcome production problems. The barriers to achieving implementation and positive change are oriented to the lack of resources and the same informality that this kind of organizations live. If these barriers are overcome, it will be possible to have standardized and formalized processes, focus resources on the activities that generate the greatest value, and even anticipate changes in the industry and the market. To reach a positive scenario of productivity and sustainability, human talent must be included, which means to train and train it, so that it develops skills, knowledge, experiences and competences with which they can play their role in the change.
