Item Propuesta de mejora en el proceso de fabricación de zapatos, con un enfoque de Lean Manufacturing para la reducción de retrasos en la empresa Menta(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2021) Montaño Montaño, Miguel Ángel; Moriones Monsalve, Álvaro José; García Jiménez, Juan Camilo (Director)The company Menta, located in the center of the city of Cali, is dedicated to the production and commercialization of diverse products and complementary items related to fashion, being footwear an attraction that, according to information provided by the company, has increased its demand by 5% annually. But it expresses that they have delays in the delivery of the finished product generating losses and dissatisfaction of the clients, The most representative results of the analysis carried out correspond to cycle times superior to the Takt Time in the productive process generated by dead times causing that the production is not effective, translating this problem in the income for sale of sandals, According to the previous problem, the objective of this study is to develop a proposal based on the tools of Lean Manufacturing, restructuring the habit of the workers based on continuous improvement and maximum use of resources generated by an implementation plan 5S, which reduces cycle production downtime in the process of manufacturing footwear for women. Expecting as a result a saving of $16,814,722 represented by losses with respect to the cost of implementation of 5S plan equivalent to $952,204.Item Propuesta de mejoramiento en el proceso de fabricación de zapatos con un enfoque de Lean Manufacturing para la reducción de desperdicios y tiempos muertos en la empresa Calzado Rómulo(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2022) Maldonado Toro, Isabella; Ordoñez Rivera, Brayan Andrés; Jaramillo Fernández, Juan José; Guaita, Wilfredo (Director)Lean manufacturing is the search for improvements in production by eliminating waste, resulting in greater capacities in terms of availability of manufacturing time, as established by (Hernández & Vizan, 2013), the task of analyzing the production process and identifying what should not be done because if it does not generate added value for the client, it will be eliminated later. Likewise, the good use of physical resources in the operational part results in clean and organized processes based on the idea of continuous improvement, "Calzado Rómulo" is committed to producing footwear products. This research proposal is focused on improving the shoe manufacturing process with a Lean Manufacturing approach to reduce waste and downtime in the Calzado Rómulo company, under the CDIO methodology, guided by the parameters of: Conceive, Design, Implement and Operate under the Lean tool. It was found that the company is currently wasting 7% of its production due to Operation and manufacturing failures in logistics processes, maintenance system, and quality assurance. The central contribution of this study is to provide the organization with strategies for continuous improvement in the production area and its implementation, facilitating the control of the efficiency and effectiveness of the production processes, this triggers greater profitability for the company and customer satisfaction final client.
