Item Diseño plan de mejoras en la gestión de almacén e inventarios de los proyectos productivos del establecimiento carcelario Sogamoso(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2019) Hernández Guerrero, Yasmin; Plata Aguilar, Ana MariaThis article presents an improvement plan in warehouse management and inventories of the productive projects of the prison establishment of Sogamoso. For this it was essential to characterize the warehouse and inventory management process by conducting interviews and analyzing the SWOT matrix, which facilitated the diagnosis of the current situation. The inventory was then classified using the ABC method and the respective diagram analysis of Pareto allowing proposing policies for inventory management that make up each class. Finally, an improvement plan is proposed in order to mitigate the weak aspects that were found in the diagnosis; which includes the implementation of the 5S methodology, classification of the products by the ABC method, flow diagrams, the implementation of indicators to measure the management of the process, since the analysis and control is fundamental for the achievement of the objectivesItem Plan de mejora para la optimización del control de inventario en World Medical Devices S.A.S.(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2020) Donoso Leal, Alexander; Reyes Rodríguez, Sara Nair; Henao, Juan DavidThe purpose of this applied research monograph is to design an inventory management system for the company WORLD MEDICAL DEVICES S.A.S., which allows maintaining an adequate stock of medical devices and fulfillment in order deliveries. To achieve this objective, a diagnosis of the current situation was carried out using different industrial engineering tools such as cause-effect diagram, Pareto diagram, ABC classification of inventories, forecasts and analysis of demand, in order to identify the elements most important to focus for the development of the system. According to the result of the analysis, we proceeded to select the inventory model "continuous review system", this being the only one that allows us to calculate the reorder points that, combined with the economic order quantity, becomes a permanent control model of inventories. Finally, action plans are designed to be followed in order to target the deficiencies in inventory management at WM Devices SAS and thereby improve the level of service and customer confidence.
