Item Modelos de bioimpresion 3d y sus aplicaciones en ortopedia y traumatología: Una revisión bibliográfica(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2023) Chaux Daza, María Camila; Barbosa Velásquez, Angie Manuela; Orejuela, Diana MileyIntroduction: Orthopedic problems have occurred over time, they generate various discomforts and limitations to the patient, taking into account that traditional surgery restricts the quality of procedures, it arises through 3D printing technology (Graphic image showing depth, width and height or three-dimensional), this is a great tool for tissue engineering because it facilitates 3D cell culture within 3D biomimetic architectures that require great care (10) (11). Objetive: Make a bibliographical review of the benefits of managing 3d biomodels in orthopedics and traumatology. Methodology. The present study was guided under the parameters of bibliographic review through previous research in scientific evidence platforms such as: Pubmed, Scopus, Elsevier, medigraphics and the Google academic repository. Results: The main advantage of 3D bioprinting is that it allows adjusting the tools and/or prostheses according to the requirements of each patient, reduces intervention times and therefore costs, significantly improves the quality of life of beneficiary patients; This applies the preparation of surgery both in the development of tools and implants. Conclusions: 3D bioprinting is expanding more and more due to the ease it offers to the interdisciplinary team of orthopedics and traumatology, as well as the guarantees for the patient to be approached with a safe procedure
