Item Comparación cronológica de la estabilidad dimensional de dos técnicas convencionales de impresión versus técnica modificada con polivinil siloxano(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2019) Arias Morales, Paola Andrea; Guerra Ruiz, Dayana Marcela; Arana Gordillo, Luis Alfonso (Director)The purpose of this study was dimensional stability. To carry out the study a stainless steel model was confirmed, which simulated three pillars with their finishing lines, the three pillars are 10 mm in height and 10 mm in width, the flat occlusal surface, in square shape, with a 2 mm terminal line. For each moment of emptying (immediate, 8 and 24 hours) 12 impressions were made, 4 for each printing technique, a total of 36 impressions. Six measures (mesiodistal, lingual vestibule) were taken each of the pillars of the time model to see these impressions by means of a digital micrometer to be compared with the measures of the master model. A descriptive statistical analysis was made with student test, and an analysis of variance (ANOVA) for the comparison of the areas with two fixed factors, and the Tukey test. three techniques when the vacuum was performed at 8 hours with the step and a half technique (P = 0.001); Two steps (P = 0.002), no significant differences were found for the one-step technique; at 24 hours, significant differences were found in the step and medium technique (P = 0.007), two steps (P = 0.047), the one-step technique was not significantly related and finally no technique. He objective of this study is to determine the dimensional stability of conventional techniques and modified technique for silicone impressions over time.Item Estudio comparativo de la adaptación de carillas cerámicas cementadas con cemento resinoso y resina compuesta precalentada utilizando 3 técnicas de obtención(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2023) Romero Martínez, Nicolás; Quiroz Cabrera, Daniel Alexander; Zuleta Cárdenas, Julián Fernando; Campo Saavedra, Juan Diego (Director); Arana Gordillo, Luis Alfonso (Director)INTRODUCTION: Analog, digital or mixed techniques require the use of specific materials that provide good clinical performance, translated into resistance, dimensional and color stability; excellent esthetic characteristics among them, wide range of translucency or fluorescence opacity among others, being then currently dental ceramics the materials that meet most of these specifications. OBJECTIVE: To compare the adaptation of anterior veneers with the use of a resinous cement and with a preheated composite resin, using different procurement techniques. METHOD: Comparative experimental with a qualitative approach. RESULTS: 18 teeth distributed in 6 groups were evaluated according to the workflow and type of cementation; a larger gap was identified in the mixed flow cemented with resin as the average gap was 141.7±50.9 while for the same flow using cement an adaptation with 101.7±64.4 was achieved. With respect to the analog and digital flow the gap was smaller in the specimens in which cement was used as the averages were 40 plus or -10.6 for the former and 46.7±13.9 for the latter; In the digital flow the difference for the resin cemented specimens was 33 µm compared to the analog flow. CONCLUSIONS: Workflow bonding in the incisal area is more variable when using cement with mixed workflow. Comparatively, the variability of adhesion in the incisal area is much higher when using resin with analog and digital workflow than when using cement.Item Influencia de la potencia y tiempo de la fuente emisora de luz en el factor de conversión de resinas compuestas con diferente translucidez(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2019) Campo Patiño, Kelly Valentina; Hernández Aguirre, Daniela Andrea; Quintero Vidal, Carlos José; Arana Gordillo, Luis Alfonso (Director)Item La fragaria (fresa) como agente aclarador dental, revisión de la literatura(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2019) Grajales Rendón, Leidy Johana; Moreno Vázquez, Isabella; Pérez Molano, Angie Stephania; Arana Gordillo, Luis Alfonso (Director)The fragaria fruit commonly called strawberry and especially known in the gastronomic field, said fruit is characterized by containing different acids, in Colombia it is possible to find various varieties such as: La Chandler, The bird, La Miur and the Tioga. In addition to the use of La Fragaria as food, it is currently possible to find different publications in newspapers, websites and some studies about the use and some benefits of this fruit in the area of Dentistry, attributing these uses to its components; especially acids. The fragaria is used and named mainly by the general population as a possible lightening agent of the dental structure in an alternative method known as yourself DIY (do it yourself). Due to the rise of this fruit, it is necessary to carry out a review of the bibliography in international databases of the Santiago de Cali University to identify if the strawberry actually has lightening properties on the dental structure. After the review, it can be concluded that there is little information with a scientific basis and that it has an absence of certain relevant data which are important to give certainty about the effectiveness of said treatment.Item Longevidad en restauraciones de recubrimiento total en oxido de zirconio, revisión sistemática(2021) Medina Bulla, María José; Moreno González, Diego Fernando; Restrepo Montoya, Juan Fernando; Arana Gordillo, Luis Alfonso (Director)To determine the longevity of zirconium oxide in full veneer restorations through a literature review, according to the identified article reports. Zirconium oxide proved to be an optimal material for carrying out full veneer rehabilitative treatments, providing an acceptable level of success according to the results of the studies, the survival rates had a good result against different years and with different types of cement and/or treatment regions in the oral cavity, which means that zirconium oxide is a material that provides very good characteristics for rehabilitative procedures in dentistry.Item Relación entre hábitos alimenticios y pigmentación dental durante procesos de aclaramientos: revisión de literatura(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2022) Erazo Hernández, Milton José; Rivas Guzmán, Eduardo; Arana Gordillo, Luis Alfonso (Director)Item Revisión bibliográfica y guía para elaboración de un protocolo de atención odontológica en pacientes psiquiátricos que acuden al servicio de odontología en la Universidad Santiago de Cali(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2019) Carvajal Amézquita, Yiseth Ximena; Lozano Guerrero, Tania Michelle; Medina Rodríguez, Alejandra; Rivera Marín, Freddy (Director); Arana Gordillo, Luis Alfonso (Director)Item Sistemas para descontaminación de zirconio en procedimientos de cementación: revisión de literatura(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2020) Gaviria Serrano, Yesika; Rodríguez Gómez, Verónica Rocío; Arana Gordillo, Luis Alfonso (Director)Item Tipos y fallas que intervienen en el proceso de adhesión en la dentina esclerótica(2021) Carmona Montilla, Stephani; Posso Calixto, Paula Andrea; Zuleta García, Daniela; Arana Gordillo, Luis Alfonso (Director)During the course of this research, the types and faults involved in the adhesion process to the sclerotic dentin are determined as an important contribution to the field of dentistry, for which a qualitative methodology is taken into account, since it is not performed quantification, if not an analysis of information from a collection of documentary data, classified as a systematic review, in which a purification was made under a prism model, in which it was possible to find quite old information on the subject because it exceeds the 10 years, the predominance of the authors is between the years 2000 and 2007, there is a lack of updated information, however, it was concluded that the immersed typification is a categorization of the deteriorated tissue and the failures originate from inconclusive procedures, and lack of knowledge of the different adhesion techniques.
