Item Mejora de la productividad a través de la simulación de grúa portacontenedor de barco a tierra (Ship To Shore – STS) en la Sociedad Portuaria de Buenaventura S.A.(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2019) Millan Cuero, Neila Yasmina; Castro Castrillon, Diego Fernando; Arboleda Zuñiga, JairoFor the Sociedad Portuaria de Buenaventura S.A one of the most important indicators; but the main one is the productivity of loading / unloading of containers transferred between the ship - land and vice versa, with cranes (acquired in 2017) Ship To Shore Super Post-panamax. These state-of-the-art equipment is built to world standards to allow different terminals to align with international trade trends. For its operation it is necessary that the operators in charge of handling have sufficient technical knowledge, skills and abilities to avoid damage to cargo, infrastructure, ship, equipment and people. Hence the importance of training operators in unusual or critical conditions and safety of the operation, without increasing costs generated by practices in real equipment. The objective of this study proposes to demonstrate that by means of simulation, STS container crane operators will develop skills and abilities that allow improving productivity to comply with the indicators proposed by the “Sociedad Portuaria de Buenaventura S.A. Through the application of programs and exercises built from the actual transfer operation between the ship and land and based on the principles of physical movement of containerized cargo. Finally, the increase of nine (9) additional movements in one hour of operation is explained through physical theories of movement, this increase being the main findings of the project. Other important findings are the operating principles of the container crane and its impact on its useful life and the most common factors that generate maintenance.
