Item Análisis de factores claves de competitividad del transporte de carga masivo mediante método multicriterio AHP, TOPSIS: Caso aplicado selección de proveedores(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2019) Castaño Ríos, John Edward; Araque González, Gustavo AndrésThe competitiveness of a company, industrial sector or nation is a decisive indicator for considering how a company is in front of others, giving a clear idea of the factors or pillars catering to by showing in which there is an advantage and disadvantage against its peers. The mass cargo freight sector does know clearly, from the point of view of the client, where shortcomings occur in the pillars of competitiveness, the conditions under which the activity takes place have meant a significant delay in terms of competitiveness and optimal performance of the service, to such an extent that the country is ranked 58th out of 160 countries in the World Bank Logistic Performance Index. Taking into account that Colombia's goal for the coming years is to be in third place at the regional level in terms of competitiveness, it is important to start with the bases of the logistics chains whose productivity and competitiveness activities directly intervene in the competitive development of the country. In this article, it is aimed to identify the factors of competitiveness that are present in the mass cargo freight by road, by means of an analysis of the general factors of competitiveness at a global level from which more specific variables applicable to the cargo freight sector by highway. It will begin by giving a global context of competitiveness by locating Colombia through data interpretation from different government and private sources. An AHP prioritization analysis will be used in order to give a weighting to the most decisive factors in the mass cargo operation and which of them add value to the activity. TOPSIS will be used in order to perform a Benchmarking between three companies in the freight sector with similar characteristics from the point of view of a client that has the three companies as its suppliers and the results will be analyzed; differences in competitiveness among companies will be evidenced by giving a real prospect of work or improvement start based on specific work points to improve the competitiveness of the sector.
