Abstract
Peripheral insertion central venous catheter (PICC) is a venous access device, which is introduced into the body through a vein in the upper arm. The end of the catheter ends in a large vein near the heart. The use of which has increased in recent years. It can be inserted by qualified nursing staff using a blind technique or with the help of ultrasound. Objective: To identify nursing care in patients with peripheral central venous catheter. Methodology: A bibliographic study was carried out through four important stages. In the first stage, the evaluation of the articles was carried out in the databases Scopus, Pub Med, Sage Journals, Springer, Science Direct, OXFORD, Dialnet, Clarivate and Mendeley taking into account the guiding question, objective, inclusion and exclusion criteria. At the same time, the researchers developed an Excel database to organize the articles. In the second phase, with the help of STROBE, criteria for the selection of articles in the Excel database were executed. In the third and fourth phases, the prism methodology was used. 60 articles were included whose titles and summaries corresponded to the theme and finally, after the critical analysis, 16 articles were considered.

Catéter venoso central de inserción periférica (PICC) es un dispositivo de acceso venoso, que se introduce en el cuerpo a través de una vena en la parte superior del brazo. El extremo del catéter termina en una vena grande cerca del corazón. Cuya utilización ha aumentado en los últimos años. Puede ser insertado por personal de enfermería cualificado mediante una técnica ciega o con ayuda de ultrasonidos. Objetivo: Identificar cuidados de enfermería en pacientes con catéter venoso central vía periférica. Metodología: Se realizó un estudio tipo bibliográfico a través de cuatro etapas importantes. En la primera etapa se realizó la evaluación de los artículos en las bases de datos Scopus, Pub Med, Sage Journals, Springer, Science Direct, OXFORD, Dialnet, Clarivate y Mendeley teniendo en cuenta la pregunta orientadora, objetivo, criterios de inclusión y exclusión. A la vez, los investigadores desarrollaron una base de datos en Excel para organizar los artículos. En la segunda fase con ayuda de STROBE se ejecutaron criterios para la selección de los artículos en la base de datos de Excel. En la tercera fase y cuarta fase se utilizó la metodología prisma. Fueron incluidos 60 artículos cuyos títulos y resúmenes correspondían con la temática y finalmente, tras el análisis crítico se tuvieron en cuenta 16 artículos.
