| dc.description.abstract | In the present research work, the synthesis of a compound as a hole transporter (HTMs) was carried out, which allows the passage of positive charges and blocks the transport of negative charges for the production of electrical energy in perovskite solar cells. To this end, the synthesis was carried out by a Buchwald–Hartwig coupling reaction, followed by a bromination reaction, obtaining the compound 3,7-dibromo-10-(3,4,5-trimethoxyphenyl)-10H-phenothiazine (compound 4) with a yield of 45.9%. The synthesis of this compound was verified by infrared spectroscopy, where C-N, C-C and C-Br bonds were evidenced. In addition, it was characterized by mass spectrometry, whose spectrum showed the mass-charge ratio of the molecular ion and the characteristic fragmentations of the proposed molecule. Similarly, to complement the characterization, compound 4 was analyzed by ¹H NMR spectroscopy, whose spectra evidenced the presence of the hydrogens corresponding to the proposed structure. Subsequently, it was characterized by ultraviolet-visible spectroscopy and fluorescence, obtaining molar absorptivity and bandgap energy. These results, based on theory, suggest that the compound shows signs of being a good void transporter material. Finally, TD-DFT analyses were carried out in Gaussian to estimate the electron transitions of compound 4, the results showed three excitation states with energies of 3.4397, 3.6405 and 3.7147 eV, corresponding to wavelengths of 360.45, 340.57 and 333.76 nm, respectively. The most intense transition presented an oscillator force of 0.2008, while the first transition showed a significant contribution with lower intensity (f = 0.0275). In addition to obtaining the data regarding the energies of HOMO and LUMO of compound 4 corresponding to –5.38 eV and –0.81 eV respectively, where, the HOMO level facilitates the efficient extraction of holes, while the LUMO acts as a barrier that blocks the transport of electrons, potentially reducing charge recombination. | |
