dc.description	El abandono del adulto mayor en el hospital geriátrico y ancianato san miguel de la ciudad de Cali, es una problemática latente que afecta el bienestar social de los adultos, como objetivo principal de la investigación se plantea conocer las principales consecuencias psicosociales que les genero el abandono familiar a tres adultos mayores. El trabajo se aborda desde tres perspectivas teóricas, en la 1 se aborda el desarrollo humano por medio de la teoría ecológica de Bronfenbrenner, esta se relaciona con las representaciones sociales que habla Moscovivi en su teoría y como afecta el bienestar de los adultos. Se finaliza con los factores emocionales de la teoría del apego de Bowbly. Se utiliza la metodología cualitativa para comprender significados, experiencias y perspectivas de los participantes detalladamente, se aborda desde entrevistas semiestructuras e historias de vida para la comprensión de todo lo que paso antes y después de llegar a la institución. Los resultados encontrados en la presente investigación arrojaron que el abandono del adulto mayor tiene un impacto negativo en la salud emocional y social de los adultos, estos hallazgos destacan la importancia de fortalecer las redes familiares y fomentar un ambiente afectivo y seguro para la calidad de vida de los adultos.
dc.description.abstract	The abandonment of the elderly in the San Miguel geriatric and elderly hospital in the city of Cali, is a latent problem that affects the well-being of adults, as the main objective of the research is to know the main psychosocial consequences generated by family abandonment to three older adults. The work is approached from three theoretical perspectives, in 1 human development is addressed through Bronfenbrenner's ecological theory, this is related to the social representations that Moscovici speaks in his theory and how it affects the well-being of adults. It ends with the emotional factors of Bowlby's attachment theory. The qualitative methodology is used to understand meanings, experiences and perspectives of the participants in detail, it is approached from semi-structured interviews and life stories to understand everything that happened before and after arriving at the institution. The results found in the present investigation show that the abandonment of the elderly has a negative impact on the emotional and social health of adults, these findings highlight the importance of strengthening family networks and promoting an effective and safe environment for the quality of life of adults.
