| dc.description | Introducción: La Vestibulopatía bilateral idiopática es una afección otorrinolaringológica que se caracteriza por la disfunción de ambos laberintos periféricos o de los nervios del octavo par craneal. La presente revisión literaria tiene como objetivo determinar la efectividad de los tratamientos fisioterapéuticos más usados para el tratamiento de los pacientes con vestibulopatía bilateral. Metodología: Se realizó una revisión de la literatura en las bases de da-tos PubMed, Science Direct, Scopus, Clarivate, Taylor and Francis, Nature y Springer desde el iniciode las bases de datos hasta noviembre del 2023. Los criterios de selecciónfueron previamente definidos según el tipo de intervención y la descripción en el artículo. Resultados: De los 11 artículos incluidos, las principales intervenciones fisioterapéuticas usaron técnicas englobadas a fomentar la plasticidad del sistema nervioso central mediante la adaptación o generación de mecanismos de sustitución en pacientes con trastornos del equilibrio. Conclusiones: De los tratamientos usados en la vestibulopatía bilateral se pudo determinar que todas las intervenciones presentan disminución de la sintomatología asociada con la patología y en aspectos como la marcha, estabilidad postural, control postural, equilibrio y la sensación subjetiva de mejoría en relación a las actividades de la vida diaria | |
| dc.description.abstract | Physiotherapeutic Interventions in Patients with Bilateral Vestibulopathy. Literary Review Introduction: Idiopathic bilateral vestibulopathy is an otorhinolaryngological condition characterized by dysfunction of both peripheral labyrinths or the eighth cranial nerve nerves. The present literature review aims to determine the effectiveness of the most commonly used physiotherapeutic treatments for the treatment of patients with bilateral vestibulopathy.. Methodology: A literature review was conducted in the PubMed, Science Direct, Scopus, Clarivate, Taylor and Francis, Nature, and Springer databases from the inception of the databases until November 2023. The selection criteria were previously defined according to the type of intervention and the description in the article. Results: Of the Of the 11 articles included, the main physiotherapeutic interventions used techniques aimed at promoting the plasticity of the central nervous system through adaptation or generation of replacement mechanisms in patients with balance disorders. Conclusions: Of the treatments used in bilateral vestibulopathy, it was determined that all interventions present a decrease in the symptoms associated with the pathology and in aspects such as walking, postural stability, postural control, balance and the subjective feeling of improvement in relation to daily life activities. | |
